MICROSCOPE

A good scientist ask question to observe because of its curious mind. In 1665 Robert Hooke was trying to answer the question what was living matter made up from? It was made up of cell that we could only see with the Microscope.

GALILEO MICROSCOPE

• Galileo made some design improvement to the simple Microscope in 1660. this microscope helped Malphigi provide the evidence that blood goes from arteries to veins to this special type of blood vessels called capillary.

• The system for looking at small structure was now at its limits because it used light to see the objects. The smallest structure that could be looked at was about 0.0005 mm. Smaller parts of the cell were not seen until the development of the electron microscope.

• Three-dimensional images of the surfaces of structure can be seen using a scanning electrons microscope. A scanning tunneling Electrons Microscope, developed in 1981 by Gred Binnig and Heinrich rohrer, is able the view the surface of molecules and atoms. this complements computer and modelling the molecules to understand the interactions between them. Molecular biology is an active research field.
