JAMATECH SDN BHD
History of RFID
In 1919, Léon Theremin invented an espionage tool for the Soviet Union which retransmitted incident radio waves with audio information.
IFF transponder developed in the United Kingdom, was routinely used by the allies in World War II to identify aircraft as friend or foe.
In 1973, Mario Cardullo's device was the first true ancestor of modern RFID, as it was a passive radio transponder with memory.
In 2004, EPCglobal hardware Action Group created the Class 1 Generation 2 interface. The EPC Gen2 standard was approved in December 2004. The EPC Gen2 standard was adopted with minor modifications as ISO 18000-6C in 2006.

There are
OBJECTS and
PLACES
where RFID Tag
is inapplicable…
“Too small”
“Too narrow”
Effective solution?
Handwrite?
Force to apply the existing RFID tags?
Ignore?
Inefficient solutions...
We focus on antenna size
16x16mm 12x9mm φ11mm
Small tags
…Antenna is still large
Breakthrough
We integrate the ultra small antenna on IC chip
Size IC Chip = RFID Tag
2 x 4 RFID label OCA
Ultimately miniaturized!!

4 mm
How small?
Tag Size 0.46 x 0.48 mm
Frequency UHF (860 – 960MHz)
Air protocol EPC Class1 Generation2 ISO/IEC 18000-6C
Memory size 512 bit user memory 240 bit EPC memory
Reading distance Up to 1mm
Product specification
Our advantage?
Ultra small size 0.46 x 0.48mm
But same functions
Non-disconnection between IC chip and antenna
Operable with EPC C1 Gen2 compliance Reader
Extend the reading distance with
booster antenna
Application range;
Jewelry (Ring, Earring, Watch etc.)
Paper (Certification, Security paper etc.)
Insects (Brand mgt, Research etc.)
Electronic communication equipment
