Timing of Events in Cuspal Interlinks-B.K. Kumar

Any event happens only when it is promised in the horoscope. So, prior to timing the event, it is necessary to check the promise.Check of Promise of Occurrence of Event

Ascendant Sub-Sub Lord should be simultaneous significator of Primary and Supporting Cusps.

Primary Cusp Sub-Sub Lord should be linked to Primary and Supporting cusps (including 11th Cusp) directly or indirectly.

[Direct means Primary Cusp SSL Involves Primary Cusp through Star Lord and commits through Sub Lord to supporting cusps including 11th Cusp. Indirect means Primary Cusp Sub-Sub Lord involves 11th Cusp through its Star Lord and commits through its Sub Lord to Primary and other Supporting Cusps].

On ascertaining the Promise of Event, following procedure is adopted for Timing the Event:

Dasha Period Lords should be significator of Primary and Supporting Cusps including 11th Cusp.

Progressed Ascendant co-rulers also must be

significator of Primary and Supporting Cusps including 11th Cusp.

Progressed Primary Cusp Co-rulers should also be the significator of Primary and Supporting Cusps including 11th Cusp.

As per progressed position of Sun, Moon and Dasa Period Lords, they should also be significator of Primary and Supporting Cusps including 11th Cusp.

Jupiter (generally in case of auspicious event) / Saturn (generally in case of inauspicious events) must transit over SSL of Primary Cusp and the sign in which it is transiting at the time of event must also a significator of at least Primary Cusp or other relevant cusps.

Transit agreement of Sun and Moon and Dasa Lords must also signify the event.

Behaviour of Rahu and Ketu in CIL Reading of Rahu and Ketu in KCIL

In Cuspal Interlinks Theory, Rahu or Ketu represents its dispositor (Sign Lord) and Star Lord. So, while determining the significations or assessing result giving capability of Rahu or Ketu, we consider Rahu or Ketu acting simultaneously as three planets (a) Rahu/ Ketu as Rahu/ Ketu Planet, (b) Rahu/Ketu as Sign Lord and (c) Rahu/ Ketu as Star Lord who will give the result as per Positional Status (PS) and Stellar Status (SrS).

-B.K. KumarAscendant is rising continuously, moment after moment, on geocentric eastern horizon at advanced longitude (degree-minute-second) . This is called Cuspal longitude of ascendant where certain sign, star, sub and sub-sub rise. With respect to ascendant Cuspal longitude, other houses and Cuspal positions form. Cuspal position is co-ruled by the sign lord, star lord, sub lord and sub-sub lord.

In Cuspal Interlinks ( Khullar System ), sub-sub arc is practically ultimate division and Cuspal sub-sub lord is the agent who interacts with other Cusps and Bhava. The interaction or inter-relationship of Cuspal sub-sub lords with other Cusps/ Bhava is termed as Cuspal Interlinks. In Cuspal Interlinks Theory Mr. S.P. Khullar has uniquely described all about the interaction and interlinks or inter-relationship of Cuspal sub-sub lords.

Every sub-sub lord establishes relation with other cusps and Bhavas in a definite way. A Cuspal sub-sub lord (i.e. a planet) establishes relationship with other cusp on the basis of its Stellar Status and Positional Status. Nature of such established relation of Cuspal sub-sub lord and cusp is further specified and modified by the sub lord of the Cuspal sub-sub lord. That Cuspal sub-sub lord is meaningfully related with that cusp or not; it is revealed the sub-sub lord of the Cuspal sub-sub lord.

In other words, In Cuspal Interlinks Matrix, a planet relates with others cusp or becomes significator of that cusp(s) where Nakshatra Lord of a planet or planet itself (in case of PS) appears in the Cuspal position. It is termed as the planet involved the cusp through its

star lord. Likewise, wherever sub lord of the planet appears in Cuspal position, it understood that the planet committed to the cusp through sub lord. If this committed cusp is in favourable position with respect to involved cusp then we say that the planet is fruitful significator of the involved cusp (where planetâ™s star lord has appeared). The Sub Sub Lord of Sub Sub Lord of planet will declare the culmination of the involvement and commitment of the planet. That is, Sub Sub Lord of Cuspal Sub Sub Lord is a planet that gives hint of fruitfulness of the significationship of the planet for involved cusp(s). Clearly, a planet becomes significator and gives result of only those cusp(s)/ Bhava where star lord of the planet or planet itself appears. It becomes fruitful significator of those cusps if the planet is favourably com mitted.

Golden Rules of Khullar Astrology System (Cuspal Interlinks Theory) Cuspal Interlinks   rule  (1) : A native enjoys significations of those houses only to which Ascendant Sub Sub Lord maintain relation.

Cuspal Interlinks rule (2) : A planet gives favourable result of cusp(s) involved through star lord if that planet is committed through sub lord to favourable or supporting cusp(s)/ Bhava w.r.t involved cusp and entrusted through Sub Sub Lord to favourable or supporting cusp(s) w.r.t involved cusp / Bhava.Cuspal Interlinks rule (3) : Star Lord Proposes, Sub

Lord disposes.Cuspal Interlinks rule (4) : Star Lord shows involvement and Sub Lord Commitment.Cuspal Interlinks rule (5) : Sub-Sub Lord shows the end result.Cuspal Interlinks rule (6) : From involved cusp, 4th, 7th, 8th and 12th Cusp/House are unfavourable, 2nd, 6th and 10th Cusp/House is neutral and 1st, 3rd, 5th, 9th and 11th Cusp/ House are favourable.Cuspal Interlinks rule (7) : Transit agreement is shown by the way of signification and excitation of relevant cusps in the natal chart.Cuspal Interlinks rule (8) : Apply Principles of Vimshottari Dasha System for timing the event.Cuspal Interlinks rule (9) : A promised event happens in the joint period of planets that are fruitful significator of those cusps, if Vimshottari Dasha Lord's Transit agrees.Cuspal Interlinks rule (10): Vimshottari Dasha is sequential in nature, which has a hidden meaning. Each succeeding period can enact an event only when it's proceeding Dasha Period Lord permits the event.(Read more in Books - TRUE ASTROLOGY: Kalamsa & Cuspal Interlink Theory (New Edition), "KEY TO LEARN Sub Sub & Cuspal Interlinks Theory" and "Horary Astrology and Cuspal Interlinks' - written by Sh SP Khullar)

Birthtime Rectification Rules- By B.K. Kumar

7 Steps of Rectification /  Determination  of Time of Birth

A) The Sub Lord and Sub-Sub Lord of Ascendant

should be linked with the Star Lord of Moon;

B) Sex Determination;

C) Ascendant Co-rulers should be linked with 10, 1 and 7 Cusp/House;

D) Moonâ™s Position Co-rulers should be linked with 10, 1 and 7 Cusp/House;

E) Prana Lord at birth time of the native should be linked with 10, 1 and 7 Cusp/House;

F) Ascertaining the Genetical Connections;

G) Verification of Past Events.  For more details on Bithtime Rectification - Read "YOUR TRUE HOROSCOPE: Birth Time Rectification" written by Mr. S.P. Khulla

Why Need of Birth Time Rectification- B.K. Kumar

Every individual takes birth in a very particular moment. However, this moment can not be timed exactly due to limitation of our watch. Yet very closely it can be timed. Generally time of birth is recorded by doctor in hospital. Such recorded time at most could be correct upto minute level but on second level more often it is found not accurate. However, second is not equivalent to a moment, but as said above due to some constraint we can not

time it beyond second level. In our Khullar System of Astrology difference of even a second sometime may change horoscope entirely. This is why in this system we can differentiate between even twins. Birthtime rectified on second level yields satisfactory results as it nearly simulates the destiny.   We believe that any native’s birth time is that very moment when he takes his first breath on this earth plane with his noticeable independent existence. From his first breath he is treated as a self-regulating being. From that moment the soul incarnated in his body  makes functional his body in natural course in such a fashion that he may sustain due to those very personal efforts that can not done by others in lieu of him i.e. his being is now responsible for his evolution and growth. Recording of time of first breath or incarnation of soul in the body of child is not easy even for doctors as doctor’s preference and concern are different in the labour room. It is astrologer who can declare the time of child’s first breath or incarnation of soul in the body of child as per the very particular planetary position, calculated upto second level, on the horizon at that moment. and  place However for astrologers also it is not so easy particularly in other system of astrology but in Cuspal interlinks Theory (Khullar Astrology), it is quite possible to rectify the birth time which is close  to the very moment of birth.  Once time-closed-to-birth-moment is found, it is very easy to cast a horoscope or matrix simulating destiny, using Khullar Ayanamsa.  We know at the time of death impressions (Samskara) of previous lives remain attached with soul. Due to these impressions, soul is bound to reincarnate. As per impression accumulated in previous lives, soul chooses a very particular parents, family, society, country etc.  So in true horoscope these should be reflected besides many other individualistic elements. Co-relation with

society, country etc can not be ideally established for want of data required for true horoscope of the same. But a true horoscope must exhibit relationship with parents and other family members. In medical science such relationship is known as Genetic relation. Further, True horoscope should show individuality & sex of the native. And, the planetary position should certainly confirm the event of birth of the native at that very moment besides many other aspects and events related to him.

In other system of astrology, scarcely an astrologer bothers to rectify the birth time. Owing to this, accuracy in the horoscope remains missing.

Let’s See,

a)    Relation of Ascdtt. SSL and Moon’s Star Lord: Ascendant SSL is Saturn.  Saturn is in the Star of Rahu, the Star Lord of Moon’s Position.b)    Sex Determination:  In Male sign Leo Ascdtt. Sub-Sub Arc is in the 2nd half.c)    Ascdtt. Co-rulers relation with 1, 7 and 10 C/H: Ascdtt Sign Lord Sun: Sun has no PS.  It is in Mercury Star who is appearing

in 7 and 10 Cusp. And it is in Venus Sub who is appearing in 1, 7, 10 Cusp. This can be written as SUN-->Mercury (7, 10) –Venus (1, 7, 10).

Ascdtt Star Lord Venus: Venus has PS.  It is appearing in 1C and 7C and is Resident of 7H. It is in Mercury Star who is appearing in 7 and 10 Cusp. And it is in Jupiter Sub who is appearing in 1st and 7th   Cusp. This can be written as VENUS-->Mercury (7, 10) –Jupiter (1, 7).

Ascdtt Sub Lord Ketu: Ketu has no PS.  It is in Sun Star who is appearing in 1st Cusp. And it is in Mercury Sub who is appearing in 7th and 10th Cusp. This can be written as KETU-->Sun (1) –Mercury (7, 10).

Ascdtt Sub-Sub Lord Saturn: Saturn has PS.  It is appearing in 1st 7th and10th Cusp.  It is in Sun Sub who is appearing in 1st Cusp. This can be written as SATURN (PS 1, 7, 10) -->Ketu (1, 7) –Sun (1).

Thus, we see all co-ruling planets of Ascendant are linked with 1, 7 and 10 C/H. d)    Moon Position Co-rulers relation with 1, 7 and 10 C/H:  Moon Position Sign Lord Venus: discussed above.Moon Position Star Lord Rahu: Rahu-->Saturn(1,7,10)—Mercury(7,10)Moon Position Sub Lord Ketu: Ketu-->Mercury (7, 10)—Sun (1)Moon Position SSL Jupiter: Jupiter (PS 1, 7)-->Sun (1)—Mercury (7, 10)

e)    Prana Lord at birth time is Jupiter: Jupiter (PS 1, 7)-->Sun (1)—Mercury (7, 10)

f)    Genetical Connections: Father’s Moonstar is Mercury.  9th SSL also is Mercury.Mother’s Moonstar is Mars. In the chart Mars is in the Star of Mercury who is 4th SSL.Immediate Elder brother’s Moonstar is Mars.  Mars is in the Sub-Sub of Rahu who represents Saturn and Saturn is 11th SSL.

So far, we have checked all necessary conditions which are found in correct Birth time. Verification at Stage – 2:  Check rectified Chart through Past Events:1)    Marriage: 31 March 1995 in Istanbul TurkeyPromise of Marriage: Ascdtt. Prediction: Birth of Daughter will be on 16th April 2007Check Promise of Child Birth in the chart of native:a)    The Ascendant SSL is Saturn.  It has PS.  Saturn is appearing in 2nd and 11th Cusp.  It is in the star of Ketu.  Ketu itself is not appearing in 2, 5, or 11.  Ketu represents Mercury and Sun.  Mercury is appearing in 2nd, 5th and 11th Cusp.  Sun also does not appear in 2, 5 or 11th Cusp. Saturn is in the SSL of Saturn who is favouring end results as addition in family.  So, Ascendant SSL promises for Child birth.b)    The 5SSL is Jupiter.  It has PS. Jupiter is appearing in 5 and 11th Cusp.  Jupiter is in the star of Sun who is nowhere in 2, 5 and 11.  Jupiter is in the Sub of Mercury who is appearing in 2, 5 and 11th Cusps.  Moon is the SSL of Jupiter and it is resident of 2H and thus favours the promise of 5th Cusp as Child Birth.Sex of Child: In the 5th Cusp Male Sign Sagittarius is rising and the SS Arc is in the 2nd half. Thus, it indicates Female child. Dasha Period on 16.04.2007:  Sat-Rah-Mer-Jup-Rahu.Dasha Lord Saturn: Discussed in promise section about Saturn.Bhukti Lord Rahu: Rahu has no PS.  Rahu is in Saturn Star.  Saturn appears in 2nd and 11th cusp.  Mercury is the Sub Lord of

Bhukti Lord Rahu.  Mercury, we have seen also is appearing in 2, 5, 11.  Thus Rahu as Rahu is significator of delayed child birth.  Rahu as Saturn also does not negate the dictate of Rahu.  Its SSL Jupiter favours the end result as Child birth.Rahu as Jupiter: we have discussed above as Jupiter is 5SSL.Antara Lord Mercury: Mercury has PS.  Mercury is appearing in 2, 5, and 11th Cusp.  Mercury is in the star of Saturn who appears in 2 and 5.  Mercury is in the sub of Jupiter who is appearing in 5 and 11.  The SSL of Mercury is Rahu who is favouring the child birth.  Mercury is in the SS of Rahu who is appearing in 2nd Cusp indicating end result as addition in family of father.Sookshama Lord of Jupiter: discussed earlier. Prana Lord can be Rahu, who also is significator for child birth.  Transit Agreement:Dasha Lord Saturn is transiting in Mo/Me/Ra/Ra (Sg/St/Sb/SS) on 16. 04. 2007.Sign Lord Moon is also significator of relevant cusps. In transit, Saturn’s Sub and Sub-Sub Lord is Rahu who is Bhukti Lord and Mercury (the Star lord of Saturn in transit) is Antara Lord and we have discussed above that these two are good significator for child birth.  Thus Dasha Lord’s transit in the Star of Mercury and Sub & Sub-Sub of Rahu is in favour.Bhukti Lord Rahu is transiting in Sa/Ju/Ju/Ra (Sg/St/Sb/SS) on 16. 04. 2007.We have already discussed that Saturn, Jupiter and Rahu are significator for child birth.  So transit of Rahu in these indicates agreement of transit for child birth.Antara Lord Mercury is transiting in Ju/Sa/Ju/Sa (Sg/St/Sb/SS) on 16. 04. 2007.Sookshama Lord Jupiter is transiting in Ma/Me/Ra/Ve (Sg/St/Sb/SS) on 16. 04. 2007.Prana Lord can be Rahu, who is Bhukti Lord also. Thus Native’s Daughter’s Moon’s Star Should Be MERCURY.  On confirmation, It was found that Daughter’s Moon Star is

Mercury.  This indicates that Rectified Chart is correct Those who want to learn Khullar Cuspal Interlinks Theory, hopefully this detailed case study (first published on Astrologyresearch website) will help them in uderstanding the way of checking Promise, Dasha Potential and Transit Agreement in the horoscope. For more details on Bithtime Rectification - Read "YOUR TRUE HOROSCOPE: Birth Time Rectification", " TRUE ASTROLOGY: Kalamsa & Cuspal Interlink Theory (New Edition)" written by Mr. S.P. Zero Longevity Concepts- Fixing Time of Death(Excerpts from the Book KEY TO LEARN Sub Sub & Cuspal

Interlinks Theory written by Sh. SP Khullar-By B.K. Kumar

The timing of an event is done using the following principles:

1. The Planets co-ruling the Ascdt at the moment an event happens have to be linked with the relevant cusps that take part in enacting an event.2. The Sub and Sub-Sub lord of the Ascdt should establish relationship with the Moonâ™s Star lord at that moment.3. The Planets co-ruling the Moonâ™s position in the event chart (Dasa Period Lords) should be linked with the Primary and supporting cusps.

Horoscope and Human Birth:

It is believed that the birth of human beings take place in

accordance with the theory of Reincarnation. It states that the human beings take birth in accordance with his/her past karmas and future dispositions.

The Astrological Birth time is taken to be that moment when the individual soul takes possession of the body which the soul itself has got created. At this particular moment a particular degree rises on the Ascdt at the place of birth. Each Planet occupies a particular Zodiacal position and a particular house position. The Planets co-ruling the Ascdt and other cuspal positions together with the Planets Zodiacal and house positions bear correspondence with the nativeâ™s past karmas and future dispositions.

No event takes place without the inter play of Sun and Moon. On the basis of these concepts we fix the Ascdt for the native for a correct horoscope. Since the birth of a child takes place when the father of the child runs the joint period of Planets that are fruitful significators of 2,5 and 11 we say that the Ascdt of the child should be co-ruled by Planets that are linked to 10,5 and 7 houses (i.e 2,5,and 11 from 9).

Fixing Zero Longevity Chart:

Using the above concepts we can fix the chart for the time of death of the native or any of his relation that bears genitical connection with the native. Since it is the chart of the moment when the soul leaves the body it has to be the chart of zero longevity i.e zero life.

Conditions for the formation of the Death Time Ascdt:

A. The Ascdt at the time of death is formed by the Planets that co-rule the 8th cusp or the Ascdt in the natal chart of the native and

are linked through their Star and Sub or by positional status with the 8th cusp.B. The Planets placed in the 8th cusp and linked with the 8th cusp and the Ascdt in the natal chart.C. Strong significators of 8th cusp, Maraka houses and Badhaka house.Significations of Death Chart:

1. The Planets co-ruling the Death Time Ascdt (formed as per conditions stated above in A, B and C) have to be linked with houses 1,8, 2,7 and Badhaka.2. Dasa Period Lords in the Death Time Chart have also to be linked with 1,8,2,7 and Badhaka.3. SSL of the 8th cusp in the Death Time Chart has to be linked with the Moonâ™s star lord at that time.4. Moonâ™s Star lord on the day of Death is fixed by the SSL of the 8th cusp in the Natal Chart.

Moonâ™s Star lord on the day of death can be:

a. The same Planet which is the SSL of the 8th cusp.b. The same Planet which is the Star lord of the SSL of the 8th cusp.c. Any Planet whose Star lord is the same Planet who is the Star lord of the SSL of the 8th cusp. For example let Saturn be the SSL of the 8th cusp in a natal chart. Let Saturn be in the Star of Jupiter. On the day of death Moonâ™s Star lord can be:

A. Saturn B. Jupiter and C. Any Planet in the natal chart who is in the Star of Jupiter.

Note: In some cases Moon Star on the day of death may be other than that stated above. But that Star lord has to be a Planet that links with 1 and 8 cusp and should bear relationship with the Moonâ™s Star lord as fixed by the natal chart.

Difference Between Rashi Chart and Bhava Chart What is Rashi Chart and Bhava Chart

(Excerpts from write up of Shri S.P. Khullar) Rashi Chart: The Rashi chart indicates the degree rising in the Eastern horizon at the time of the happening of the event(may be the birth of a person). It also indicates the actual zodiacal positions of all Planets in particular Signs. For practical purposes an Astrologer uses this to determine the modification of the Planets behaviour as per their zodiacal positions. At higher level the Ascdt indicates the quantum of energy that has been apportioned to the native for the current incarnation.Planetary positions as per their zodiacal positions relate to various past karmas and future dispositions.More than this we do not make use of the Rashi chart.

Bhava Chart: The chart is cast using Placidius System. Here the lordship of the house is decided by the actual degree rising on the cusp. Similarly the placement of a planet in Bhava chart is decided as per the longitude of the planet vis-à-vis the longitude of the cusp.

For predictive purposes we use only the Bhava Chart both for considering the placement of Planets as well as cuspal interlinks. We invariably have a cuspal chart which is based on the cuspal positions of various cusps as per Placidius System. This indicates the Sign,Star,Sub,and Sub-Sub rising on the cusps. This Sign determines the lordship of the house.

..............................................................                                                               ........................................................................................                                                                                        .............................................................................The Traditionalists invariably believe in the correspondence between the signs and the houses. Aries, for example, symbolizes the characteristics of first house. To me the relationship between signs and houses is more often the relationship of spirit and matter. As spirit – the true self – is not subjected to the vagaries of weather or the strifes and struggles of life so do the signs, which are permanent storehouse of energy obtained from the fixed stars. Houses, on the other hand, are concrete expressions of mundane affairs of life in the physical body. They may be equated to matter - the body – which operates under the law of ultimate dissolution and the signs with the inner man. “Know ye not that ye are the temple of god, and that the spirit of god dwelth in you?”

The Ascendant or what we call as lagna is formed at the time of birth as per the degree of the zodiac rising in the eastern horizon at that time and place. The selection of the time of birth is controlled by the life giving planet Sun [self ] and Moon [Non-self ]and the positions of planets in the various but specified degrees of the Zodiac. As Varahamihira said, "The planets offer a lawful channel for the outward operations of cause-effect equilibriums that man has set into motion in the past as a free agent." That is planets occupy specific position in the Zodiac and in the houses to reflect our past karmas. Our soul or inner mind is carrier of our karmas, both past and present but it is our body, which is responsible for the execution of karma or bear the

fruits of our past and present karmas. Thus, we may say houses bear direct linkage to our destiny while the planets in the signs refer to our inner mind. In other words, planets in signs indicate with what capabilities or characteristics our soul has incarnated.

How beautiful or boring is a film depends upon the quality of the script, the talent of the actors etc. Similarly the strength of nativity, no doubt, depends upon the strength of the planets as per sign and house position. But how logical it is to say if a sign is afflicted by a malefic like Rahu or Saturn that it will cause the body to suffer from diseases signified by that sign. Rahu or Saturn remains in a sign for a pretty long time. Will every body suffer similar disease? It may not even be correct to say the same for the placement of the planet in house position. The significance of the Bhava chart has been explained on Page 28 of my Book KCIl (revised). It is reproduced here:

The chart is cast using Placidius System. Here the lordship of the house is decided by the actual degree rising on the cusp. Similarly the placement of a planet in Bhava chart is decided as per the longitude of the planet vis-à-vis the longitude of the cusp.

To sum up I may say that the nature of a Planet is modified by its Zodiacal position. We say that a Planet exalts at a particular degree in a particular Sign because the energy content of that particular degree synchronizes with the nature of energy content of the Planet. Absence of a Sign in the Bhava chart only indicates that the lord of the sign has not been allowed the sign

lord ship in the Bhava chart. It in no way affects the nature of the Planet. For studying the nature of result a Planet provides we only look for its occupation in the Bhava chart, if the Planet has PS.

Ruling Planets-B.K. Kumar

The concept of Ruling Planets (RPs) work on the idea of communion of microcosm and macrocosm. Philosophically, Idea is something that is self-proved. It canâ™t be refuted nor can be proved by some or other way. In mathematics there is an idea of Number. We have not seen One, Two, Three etc numbers. When not seen, there is no way of proving or refuting except accepting the idea as an axiomatic truth. As soon as the idea of One number is imposed on a thing, it becomes quite evident and begins to work for the purpose. Likewise, there is an idea of synchronicity with the Supreme Mind which works only when an individual really need help from his Higher Self. Due to synchronicity, when an individual needs something, the entire cosmos conspires in helping him to achieve the same. An astrologer imposes this idea of synchronicity on co-ruling planets of Moonâ™s position and Ascendant at the time of event to achieve the purpose. These co-ruling planets of Moonâ™s position and Ascendant are called RPs of Moon Position and RPs of Ascendant Position.

Many astrologers try to find the worth of Ruling Planets in light of Pre-Natal Epoch Theory or the concept of Adhana Lagna which says that the position of Moon at the moment of Epoch gets exchanged with that of

Ascendant at time of birth and the position of Ascendant at Epoch is taken by the Moon at the time of birth. Whatever be the reason, astrologically, role of co-rulers of Moon and Ascendant position are important and quite convincing too.

Astrologically speaking, any event takes place at a particular moment and at that particular moment Moon occupies a particular degree, minute and second. On this degree, minute and second a particular Sign Lord, Star Lord, Sub Lord and Sub-Sub Lord rise. Moonâ™s Position co-rulers decide the Cuspal position including Ascendant at the time of event. The moment of happening of an event is defined by the co-ruling planets of Ascendant, which is virtual position of Sun caused by the interplay of Moon and Sun. Conversely, Ascendant co-ruling planets help in fixing the planetary position at the time event.

As such, In Sub-Sub Theory (Khullar Astrology), there would be four planets (Sign Lord, Star Lord, Sub Lord and Sub-Sub Lord) to co-rule the Moon Position, which are meant for fixing correct planetary position at time of event. And, four planets to co-rule Ascendant position for the purpose of fixing correct Cuspal position. Apart from this, those planets would also be Ruling Planets who qualifies to be ruling planet. In Khullar Astrology, retrogression of planet is not considered. So, even retrograded planet also is a bonafide contender for Ruling Planet (RP). In this theory Day Lord is also not considered as ruling planet.

Ruling Planets are used by astrologers to fix the time of event of the past or future. So, Ruling Planets can be used in birth time rectification as well as timing of event

through Horary Chart or Natal Chart. As per my experience, which needs more research and observations, while timing the event of past or future, if two or more strong planets are becoming strong significator of the event, in that case, preference should be given to that ruling planet who is placed in Cardinal Sign, then preference should be given to Mutable Sign and in the last to Fixed Sign. If the said strong significators are in same sign then priority should be given to the planets coming naturally in chronological order in Vimshottari Dasha System.

How to Read Rahu Ketu in KP Astrology- By B.K. Kumar

Rahu - Ketu in KP Astrology Rahu / Ketu as Agent (Representative of a planet)a) Rahu /Ketu will act as an agent of the planet in conjunction with R/K.b) Rahu /Ketu will act as an agent of that planet who aspects R/K.c) Rahu /Ketu will act as an agent of its Dispositor.

Rahu / Ketu as Planeta) As a planet R/K will give result of that planet who is conjoined with R/K.b) As a planet R/K will give result of that planet who is aspecting R/K.c) As a planet R/K will give result of its Nakshatra Lord (in whose Nakshatra R/K happens to be placed in the horoscope)d) As a planet R/K will give result of its Dispositor.

Rahu / Ketu as Star Lorda) If any planet is in the star of Rahu or Ketu, that planet will signify the matters of the house occupied by Rahu or Ketu (Posited); b) If any planet is in the star of Rahu or Ketu, that planet will indicate the matters of the house owned and occupied by the Star lord of Rahu or Ketu; and c) If any planet is in the star of Rahu or Ketu, that planet will denote the matters of the house occupied and owned by the owner of the sign occupied by Rahu or Ketu (Dispositor).

Rahu / Ketu as SignificatorRahu/Ketu is stronger than any planet. So if R/K represents any significator planet, R/K should be given first preference as a significator in place of that significator planet.

Significator in KP Astrology-By B.K. Kumar

In Stellar Astrology (Nakshatra Paddhati Jyotish) a planet is supposed to give its results as per (a) Stellar Status and (b) Positional Status.Stellar Status: Every planet by default has stellar status and offers results as per the significations of its Star Lord. For example, Venus is in Mars Nakshatra. As per stellar status, Venus will offer result of those houses of which Mars is significator.Positional Status: A planet is said to have Positional Status when (a) the planet happens to be in its own Nakshatra e.g Mars is in Mrigshira (Mars ruled) Nakshatra and (b) no planets happen to be in the Nakshatra of that planet e.g. Mars will have Positional Status when no planet happens to be in the Nakshatra of Mars (Mrigshira, Chitra or Dhanishtha).Significator: Significator is that who signifies. A planet is said to be significator of particular house when it has capability of offering result of that house. As thus, we may say that a planet becomes Significator of a house due to its Stellar Status and / or Positional Status. A planet may be significator of high, medium or low ord.

Sequence (in order of strength) of Significator (1) Planet in Ocupantâ™s Star.(2) Occupant (if it has Positional Status i.e No Planet in the Occupantâ™s Star)(3) Planet in House Lordâ™s Nakshatra provided house is vacant.(4) House Lord (if House Lord has Positional Status i.e. No planet in the Nakshatra of House Lord) and house is vacant.(5) Planet in Conjunction with the Significator Planet.(6) Planet aspecting the Significator Planet or respective house.Four Step Theory

Four Step Theory  - B.K. Kumar

In Four Step Theory, 1st Step is about Planet and its signification. 2nd step is about Star Lord of planet and its signification.  3rd step is about Sub Lord of planet and its result signifying capability and 4th step is about Star Lord of planet’s sub lord, which is taken as end result indicator. In short this theory advocates that a Planet gives result on the strength of itself, its star lord, sub lord and star lord of sub lord.  This theory differs from Krishnamurti Paddhati (System) at one point.  In KP sub lord is taken as end result indicator while in this theory Star Lord of sub lord is taken as end result indicator.

First Step

Rule 1:

(a)       A planet becomes strong significator of that house where it is placed in house, if there are no other planets in the star of that planet.  That planet will remain strong planet even if there are other planets in that house.

(b)       In above case, that planet becomes strong significator of its owned house/s, provided there are no other planets in that house. Otherwise, it will be weak or secondary significator of that house.

(c)        If there are other planets in the stars of a planet, it becomes weak or secondary significator of both the house it resides in and of the houses it owns.

(d)       A planet becomes strong significator of that house where it is placed in house, if that planet is in its own star.  That planet will remain strong planet even if there are other planets in that house.

(e)       In above case, that planet becomes strong significator of its owned house/s, provided there are no other planets in that house. Otherwise, it will be weak or secondary significator of that house.

Second Step

Rule 2:

A planet gives the results indicated by its star lord.  So the house occupied by this star lord is strongly signified, even if there are other planets in that house. That planet will become strong significator of house owned if the houses are vacant.  Otherwise, it will be weak or secondary significator of that house.

Third Step

Rule 3:

Planet’s Sub Lord has capacity to give results. This Sub Lord becomes strong significator or secondary significator of house as per the rule-1.

Fourth Step

Rule 4:

Star Lord of Sub acts as indicator and decider of end result of particular event.

Rule 5:

Krishnamurthy has given importance to cusp of the house. So planet near to cusp (within orb of 030‐20') affect the strong signification of that cusp even if planet is having star in it, it will offer the cusp result strongly.

Rule 6:

While considering conjunction or aspect, consider this with an orb of 030‐20'.  Aspect of planet is considered only on cusp with 030‐20' orb and not on house.

A planet signifies other planet if it is in conjunction with it.  If a planet is strong, the conjuncted planet also becomes strong otherwise it is week.  If a planet is on the cusp then it becomes a strong significator of that cusp.

Rule 7:

When Rahu / Ketu is the star lord of a planet / sub, then it gives results of conjunction / aspect / star lord / sign lord in ascending order.

Rahu or Ketu are strong as star Lords.  As planet, Rahu or Ketu are strong in a house if no one is tenanting in their star. Else, they are weak.  Rahu and Ketu represent Rashi Lord, star lord and Planets in Conjunction, and Planets aspecting them.  If Rahu or Ketu are strong then the represented planets are also strong.

Rule 8:

The event will materialize only when Dasha, Bhukti and Antara jointly strongly signify main and supporting houses.

Rule 9:

If planet is totally negating the relative event's houses on step 3 – 4 then the Dasha will not fructify the matter. If planet is the Cuspal sub lord then the event will never happen.

Rule 10:

For transit, only two steps are considered.  Sub Lord or Sub’s Star Lord is not considered.

For timing the event, check the transit of the Star Lord, Bhukti Lord, Antara Lord and also Sun, Moon and Ascendant

Tips-1:

For chart analysis, single out the planets who are in their own star.  Also find out planets in whose star there is no other planet.  Find out the significator of all planets through four step theory including conjunction, special signification through Rahu and Ketu and also planets which are on the cusp.

Tips-2:

Use strong significator, Leave weak significator.  Weak Significators are not used even if they are linked to the

houses under consideration.

Tips-3:

If the sub Lord of primary house is in the star that is not retrograde and signifies either primary house or supporting houses then than the answer is positive.

(4-Step Theory has been propounded by Sunil Gondhalekar)

KP AstrologyKrishnamurthy Paddhati is known as KP astrology.  It is based on Sub Theory.  This is an excellent system  propounded by late Prof. K.S. Krishnamurti. KP Jyotish comprises best of Indian and Western astrology and is regarded comparatively accurate.  It has become popular worldwide very fast among astrologers due to its predictive capabilities,  well defined simplified learning methodology, systematic approach and universal application.

Salient Feature of KP astrology:

KP astrology emphasizes on the need of astrological divisions of Zodiac into Signs, Signs into Nakshatra and Nakshatra into Sub for precision.  In this system, Constellation / Star / Nakshatra has been divided into 9 unequal sub divisions by following Vimshottari Dasha Divisions pattern. Such division is called SUB.

K.P. Astrologers use K.P. Ayanamsha that differs from popular Lahiri Ayanamsha by about 6 minutes (Kala).

They prefer Cusp (beginning of house/ bhava)  like Western Astrologyers instead of Bhava / House.  Bhava Madhya (used by vedic astrologers ) is not considered because Placidus House system is used in this System.  KP Astrologers give more importance to House or Cusp significations in comparison to planetary significations and Karkattwa (chief significations).  KP discards few of the popular conventional astrology principles like divisional charts and yogas.

Prof. Krishnamurthy was of opinion that a planet gives results in its Dasha as per its Nakshatra-Swami (Star Lord) rather than the planet itself.  Hence he said that Planet is SOURCE, Star-Lord of that planet is EFFECTS / RESULTS and Sub of that Planet is indicative of FINAL DIRECTION of the result.

Introduction of concept of Ruling Planets is unique and wonderful.  This concept is based on the idea of synchronization of microcosm with macrocosm.  RP Principle says that the planets at the time of desire and fructifications are always same.

Inter caste MarriageUnconventional Marriage | Inter-Caste Marriage | Inter Religion Marriage | Antarjaatiya Vivah |

In modern age, Inter-caste, inter-community or Inter-religion marriages are in vogue. On spreading education, awareness and exposure to the world, now it is acceptable in Indian Society. Given below is a chart of female native who settled her into Inter-religion marriage. But later it became unsuccessful. Letâ™s check it in astrological way.

Aquarius sign is rising in the ascendant. Lagnesh Saturn, who is Vyayesh also, is retrograde and placed in Fourth House. From 12th House Rahu is aspecting

Saturn. Such position of Lagnesh and influence thereon convince nativeâ™s mental frame to go out of bond. But, simultaneously, Jupiter, a traditional and religious planet, is aspecting Saturn. Jupiter influence â˜retroedâ™ the native and brought back from Inter- religion marriage.

In the seventh house, Leo sign is rising. The Lord of house of marriage Sun is placed in the 8th House with the lord of love life and Ashtamesh and Venus. Exalted Mars is aspecting Moon and the house of Marriage. Simultaneously, Rahu, the planet of unconventionality, is casting its influence on Sun the 7th Lord.

In Navamsha Chart Saturn is getting debilitated. Saturn is with Moon and Sun happens to be with Rahu in the 8th house. That is, both luminaries are under the influence of planets showing unconventionality. Eighth house lord Mercury is in the house of marriage. Debilitated sixth Lord - Mars is in Dharma Bhav.

vorce and SepationIndications of Divorce, Separation, unsuccessful marriage, Relationship Break, dissolution of marriage, talaak, end of spousal support in Vedic Astrology In the contemporary age, the cases of divorce, separation or relation break has increased. There are many reasons which have made marriage partners to exit from the bond of marriage and getting absolved with the legal duties and responsibilities of marriage.

Given below is a horoscope of 42 years old male native whose marriage remained unsuccessful and both partner chose dissolution of marriage and end of spousal support.

This is horoscope of Dhanu Lagna. Lagnesh Jupiter is exalted but it is placed in the eighth house. In the house of marriage Dual Sign Mithun is rising. Lord of house of spouse is placed in 5th House in Rahu-Ketu axis alongwith exalted bhagyesh Sun. Sixth house Lord Venus is placed in the house of marriage indicating dispute, litigation and dissolution of marriage.

Karka planet Venus is in Adra Nakshatra. Venus, in Shubh Kartari, is sandwiched with exalted planets. Female planet is being aspect by Saturn also. Second House Saturn is placed in the house of domestic happiness where Vyayesh is aspecting. Dwadashes has aspect on lord of spouse also. Besides, eighth house influence is being channelized to fourth house by Sukhesh itself. But since it Jupiterâ™s own house so ultimately he will do maximum to flourish the signification of Sukh Sthan. In Nvamsha, 7L Saturn is associated with Sun and Dwadashesh. Debilitated Mars is aspecting 7H. Venus is in 6H in Fiery Jupiterian Sign. As thus, weâ™ve seen that in the given horoscope there is promise of divorce but simultaneously there is promise of second marriage also.

What is Gand MoolThe Nakshatra in which Moon is placed at the time of birth, is called Janma Nakshatra (Birth Star). Janma Nakshatra has a great significance in our life. Therefore it becomes very important to know the effects of Nakshatra on the different aspects of the life like health, wealth, prosperity etc.

Ashwani, Ashlesha, Magha, Jyestha, Moola and Revati are called Gand Mool nakshatra.

Some say last charan (3degree 20 minutes) of Ashlesha, Jyestha and Revati, and starting charan (3degree 20 minutes) of Ashwani, Magha, and Moola are inauspicious

Some say Ending 2 ghatis (48minutes) of Ashlesha, Jyestha and Revati and starting two ghatis ( 48

minutes) of Aswani, Magha and Moola are called Nakshatra junction points. When Moon is transiting in these Nakshatra and changes to next Nakshatra is called being in Gand Mool. The ending of previous Nakshatra and starting of next Nakshatra is called Gand Mool. With the change of Nakshatra, Moon change Rashi too. It is a double change.

Effects of Moola Nakshtra They are governing either by Ketu or by Mercury. Their some effects are positive some are negative. There is no specific period for these Gand Mool. It is calculated after the birth on the basis of placement of Moon in a Nakshatra.

Every Nakshatra has four parts, called the legs (Charan). Legs of a Nakshatra are nothing but it is the four equal time periods of the Nakshatra. That can be easily calculated by dividing the full time period of a Nakshatra by four. There are different effects of these Nakshatra leg wise on the natives.

How to use this chart : Find out the birth-star (i.e. the star on which Moon was standing in birth-chart) of the would-be bride-groom together with the zodiac sign where the star is located. To facilitate this, horizontally as well as vertically, the row/columns are marked 1 to 36. Locate the would-be bridegroom's star horizontally. And likewise, locate the would-be bride's star vertically, using rows marked 1,2,3 .... 36 on the extreme left hand side. Then, read the indicated figure.

Example :Assuming the Boy's star is CHITRA in Virgo and that of the Girl VISAKHA in Libra, the number of kutas/marks obtained is 26. This being well above 18 kutas/marks, is good enough.

What is ArgalaArgala | Virodha Argala | Vipreet Argala | Intervention | Obstruction | Interpretation of Argala, Shubha & Paap Argala | Counter Influence of Virodhaargala  What is Argala in Vedic Jyotish Argala is a kind of influence that a planet or house expresses on other planet or house in a certain way.  Argala has definite role.  If a planet or House puts

Argala on other Planet/ house, it means that planet/house is creating intervention in the matters signified by other planet/house.  This intervention can be positive (benefic) or negative (malefic) depending upon the nature of Argala creating planet.  If Argala creating planet is Paapagraha (malefic), intervention will be in negative way while in case of Shubhagraha, intervention will be in positive way.  Positive intervention adds to the resources and capability of planet & house and Negative intervention reduces the same.  For example, Shubha Argala (benefic or positive intervention) on the Marriage House or planet therein brings smoothness in married life while in the opposite case i.e papargala (malefic or negative intervention)  happiness of married life may come in hard way.

Divisional ChartsShodash Varga Charts in Vedic Astrology Life is complex and multi-dimensional.  Vedic Astrology intends to address the complexities and reveal the various dimension of human life in astrological way. Various Lagnas, Varga Charts or divisional charts, Dasha systems etc are nothing but a way to know the complexed human life and understand the manifested and hidden dimensions of life.  But some insincere astrologers take the provision of various Ascendants, Divisional charts, Dasha Systems in Vedic Astrology very casually and due to their ignorance and incapability to understand the very purpose of these provisions, they jump to say in temptation that Vedic

Hindu Astrology is confusing and is mess of theories & Principles. While reality is different.  If we understand the purpose of inclusion of these, we will feel highly indebted to its originators.

Merely Rashi Chart cannot reveal all aspects of life.  For example, if there is need of considering educational prospect of a native, all related factors required to bring under scanner  . Education is not an independent thing that has to come to the native singularly.  In the course of his education, several factors would be in force to influence his education. For this, there would be need to understand student’s inclination, approach, inquisitiveness, intelligence, grasping level, memory etc.  Besides, there would be need to understand obstacles, competition, companion on the path and environment at home, school/college, society also. Thereafter, his performance and success in education can be assessed.  Hence, to take account of all such factors there should be different-different tools – Lagna Chart alone will not give entire picture. Various Lagnas, Charts, Dasha Systems etc are few tools which are used to consider all factors and arrive at a definite conclusion.

Maharshi Parashar has advocated to use Varga Chart in addition to other tools to understand the particular aspect of life. For example if there is need of knowing all about of life partner from a horoscope of other partner, what is way of knowing it, because ‘all about of life partner’ covers various aspects and will birth (D-1) chart only be capable to indicate satisfactorily?  No doubt Planets (as per Bhava Karaka, Sthir Karaka and Char karaka), Signs (as per elements, Quality and Polarity) and Houses (as per Kendra, Trikon, Trik,

Upachaya, Panaphara and Apoklim)   of Natal chart reveal the same in broad way but it finds expression if the matter is studied alongwith respective lagna, planet, divisional chart etc.  In case of life partner, 7th house in D-1 shows approach towards relationship, 7th house in D-9 indicates traits and character of partner & 7th from Venus distance from the location of partner, Upapada gives hints of type of marriage, Upapada Lord stands for status of wife, 7th from Upapada may reveal impediments in marriage, Al from UL meeting place of partners, 2nd and 8th from UL determins the longevity of marriage, Sexual desire is expressed by Saptamarudha, Venus gives native an opportunity to experience the relationship. Thus, we see that the concept of Divisional Charts & others in Parashari & Jaimini System are how much essential.   Parashara had mentioned about 16 Vargas.  Each Varga has 12 houses. Therefore, Shodash Varga Chart will give us 192 (16 x 12) bhavas representing variety of aspects of human life. Varga Charts indicate Promise, Potential Resource, and materialization of an event. Resource is indicated by a particular bhava -bhavesha, occupant and other associated planets with the bhava.  Potentiality is determined by their strength, avasthas etc.  In other word, if any aspect of life is required to be studied then we will have to consider on a) Bhavas – obtained by concerned D-Chart of Shodashvarga b) Bhava lords – Sign Lords occupying a particular Bhava. c) Karaka of concerned Varga and Bhava.  And result of such assessed promise will be experienced by the native at the time of operation Dasha period of concerned planet(s).   Result will be delivered as per the resource available (indicated by functional nature of planet, Yoga formed due to

accidental placement and other influence, planetary strength in Shadabala, Vimshopaka Bala and Ashtakvarga Bala) in the horoscope.

Shodas Vargas have been classified in the following four groups:

a) Shadvarga: Rashi Chart (D-1), Hora Chart (D-2), Dreshkona Chart (D-3), Navamsha Chart (D-9), Dwadashamsha Chart (D-12) and Trishamsha Chart (D-30).  Shadvarga is important because 15 points out of 20 points of Vimsopaka Bala fall in this classification.  f planet is in 2,3,4,5 or 6 good vargas (exaltation, moolatrikona, own, friendly signs, or a sign that is owned by a planet ruling an angle (1,4,7,10) from the arudha, then it is called kimshuka, vyanjana, chaamara, chatra, kundala.

c) Dashavarga: Saptavarga and Dashamsha Chart (D-10), Shodashamsha (Khalamsha) Chart (D16) and Shastiamsha (D-60).  Planets in good vargas in this classification are from 2 to 10 vargas: Parijaat, uttam, gopur, simhasan, parvat, devlok, brahmalok, shakravahan, shridham.

d) Shodhasvarga: Dashavarga and Chaturthamsha Chart, Vimshamsha Chart, Chaturvimshamsha Chart, Saptavisamsa (Bhamsha) Chart, Khavedamsha Chart and Akshavedamsha Chart.   Planets in 2 to 16 good vargas: (according to BPHS) Bhedaka, kusuma, naga pushpa, kanduka, kerala, Kalpavriksha, chandanvana, poornachandra, uchcheshrava, dhanvantari,

Profession | Occupation | Career AstrologyCareer Astrology : Professional Success and

Career Progression

 - By B.K. Kumar Career is a chosen pursuit for occupation or profession as one’s life work.  In common parlance Career is meant for job, service, business etc., which is done for earning money and running life with comfort. Smoothness and suitable opportunities in career has direct impact on our quality of life we lead.  So, for comfortable life leading, smooth and rewarding career progression is necessary.

Through astrology various aspects of career viz, suitability in career, success in profession, preferable vocation, growth in business, problems and obstacles in career path etc can be studied.   Though in the modern time when rapid advancement in muliti-direction are going on and and Rashi falling in the tenth house from there giving several professional avenues. So, a number of professions have got created which are combinations of subject matter of various categories and astrologically determination of one’s vocational direction has not remained easy as it was in the ancient time when there were only a few type of limited profession.

Since, cause of our karma of in this life lies in the Karmas done in the previous lives.  So, astrology has here an insight and clue as with one’s chosen path of career, success, obstacles, satisfaction, gain etc.  In

view of this, there is sense in conducting astrological assessment in identifying probable are of professional activities and happiness therein alongwith indication of good time of getting advancement in profession, bad phase in career path, smoothness and success in career progression etc.

Vedic Astrology suggests a number of techniques, taking into account of House, Rashi, Nakshatra, Planet (as lord and karka) etc and their relationship with others, for assessing the probable are of profession.  In general, Tenth House is considered as House of Profession.   Sixth House has also very important role as it is house of service for which we generally get paid.  Since Ascendant is the epitome of whole horoscope so, it always important in forming promises, choosing profession and performance therein.   As said earlier, as per common understanding career has direct link with earning money and creating wealth for running life comfortably.  So, houses related to income and wealth are undoubtedly important.  Eleventh House is called as House of Income and Second House is House of Wealth.  On summing up, in addition to ascendant, we get four relevant houses - 2nd, 6th, 10th and 11th House.   2nd, 6th and 10th are known as Arth Trikon.      Rashi, Nakshatra and Planets falling in the Arth Trikon has pronounced effect on one’s career.

Business, Self-employment, Private employment etc are seen from Seventh House.  In case of self employment, business, entrepreneurship etc Third House becomes important because it is house of courage and mental toughness required to get success in own venture.  Thus, another trine called Kaam Trikon come into play.  3rd, 7th and 11th house constitute

Kaam Trikon.

Astrology classics suggest for studying any matters from Lagna, Moon Lagna and Sun Lagna.  However, Satyacharya has suggested considering the matters from that Lagna which is powerful.  So, out of three which one is powerful would overrule other Lagnas. From such Lagna, Tenth House, sign, ruler, occupied planet(s) and aspecting planet(s) etc from that Lagna would have influential say.  Another, view is that that lagna is effective for assessing profession which is under influence of planet(s) in the Tenth House and/or tenth house lord.   As thus, without going deep in the contradictions, we shall later simplify.  By then, we simply may say that planets having the greatest influence over these three lagnas do indicate one’s profession.  Rashi falling in the tenth house from these also has great say in indicating nature of profession. Karka Planet and Amatya Karka Planet have also significant role in determination of profession, its growth and rewards.   Confirmatory signals in divisional charts viz, Navamsha (D-9) chart and Dashamsha (D-10) chart are also important to consider while we study horoscope for the said purpose.

Finally, Dasha Period of a particular planet has an important role in execution of the promises indicated in the horoscope.  It goes without saying that Favourable Dasha Period gives native favourable career with desired smoothness and progression.   Not only this, it is very reliable indicator of hardship in career, change in profession, growth in career etc.

Marriage Compatibility - Horoscope Matching

Horoscope compatibility, Horoscope Matching, Marriage compatibility, Kundali Milan, Ashta Koota Milan, Match Making, Relationship match, Match Making, Guna Milap, Love match, compatibility and astrologyAsk for Horoscope Matching and Marriage Compatibility Check  In Indian culture marriage is treated as institution. Due to this, in Hindu Astrology there are special techniques to evaluate the all about the marriage and relationship particularly in view of post-marriage lives of couple including longevity relationship. For this purpose, there is practice of horoscope matching through Koota System, in which physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of both partners are assessed which are understood essential for continuity of life long relationship. It is believed that compatibility check may indicate the condition of relationship between wife and husband.

Kootas quantifies the compatibility in relationship. There are eight Kootas (Ashta-Koota) named as Varna -1 point, Vashya – 2 point, Tara-3 point, Yoni-4 point, Graha Maitri – 5 point, Gana - 6 point, Rashi – 7 point, Nadi – 8 point. Each has been assigned gunas/ points in chronological order. The total gunas are 36. More than 18 are understood suitable for marriage.

Varna Koot (1 Point) It has been assigned one point. Varna means Caste but it is not related to social division in anyway. It

shows the ego development of partners. Besides it corresponds with quality and action of partners indicated by sign. There are four kinds of Varna whose grade is in descending order. (1) Brahmin (Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces sign) – it indicates sattvic or spiritual nature of partners. (2) Kshatriya (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius sign) – It indicates Rajasic quality of partners. (3) Vaishya (Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn sign) – It indicates mixture of Rajasic and Tamasic quality of partners. (4) Shudra (Gemini, Libra and Aquarius) – It indicates tamasic quality of partners.

Couples having the same Varna are given one guna/ point. Higher Varna of female should not be matched to a lower Varna of Male. This dosha mismatches the temperaments of bride and groom and shortens grooms life. This dosha get cancelled if sign lord of groom is of higher Varna than the girl. Jupiter and Venus are Brahmins, Sun and Mars are Kshatriya, Moon is Vaishya and Mercury, Saturn is Shudra. There are 9 nakshatras that make up each triad. Here compatibility points are generated on the basis of calculations with

reference to these nakshatra groups in the horoscope.   3 point indicates that couple will enjoy good health and will auspicious for each other.  1.5 points indicates less quality mentioned in case of 3 point.  0 point shows challenges in the fields indicated by Tara. Yoni Koot (4 points) Yoni koota shows specific soul tendencies for emotional involvement or entanglement within sexual relationships, personified as 14 different kinds of animals. Result of Rahu in Various House and Remedies thereof in Lal Kitab

Rahu and Ketu are shadowy planets.  Their movement is interrelated and as parts of one body they are at all times just opposite to each other but keeping in view of aspect (drishti), they can be regarded together. Both of them are considered together in the later houses. For example, if Rahu is in the first house and Ketu is in the seventh house, in this case both will be supposed to be together in the seventh house (which is one of the later houses).  Node in House No. 1 to 6 will mege its effect into house No. 7-12 except house No. 5 & 11 where each node has its individual effect confined to that house only.

In Lal Kitab greater significance has been attached to the role of Rahu in influencing human affairs in various dimensions, especially in Kaliyug.  Rahu acts on the sly while ketu acts openly.  Bad reputation, evil deed and bad times (Rahu's misdeeds) will be reserved by Mercury; and good times and deeds (Ketu's virtues) will be revealed by Jupiter.  Rahu and Ketu both are sinner planet and agent of Saturn.  These three sinner planets - Rahu, Ketu and Saturn has been assigned House No. 12, 6 and 8 respectively.  These houses are termed as Trik Bhavan.

The author of Lal Kitab describes Saturn as a serpent and Rahu and Ketu as its head and tail respectively. As a node of moon, Rahu shall not provide adverse results so long as 4th house or moon is not afflicted. He gives good results when Mars occupies houses 3 and 12, or when Sun and Mercury are in house 3, or when he himself is posited in 4th house. Rahu further provides good results if placed together with Mercury or aspected by him.

In human body, theportion above the naval is controlled by Rahu and the portion below the naval to feet is dominated by Ketu.

Rahu's headquarter is the chin & Ketu's capital is feet.  Both meet at thumb or the forehead (which is house no. 2 in the birth chart) or the anus (house no. 8 in the natal chart).

Rahu offers highly beneficial effects if placed in houses earlier than Saturn. But if it is otherwise, Saturn becomes stronger and Rahu acts as his agent. Sun provides very good results when Rahu is expected by Saturn, but Rahu gives the effects of a debilitated planet when Saturn is expected by Rahu.

Rahu gets exalted in houses 3 and 6, whereas he gets debilitated in houses 8, 9 and 11. 12th house is his 'Pakka Ghar' and he proves highly auspicious in houses 3,4 and 6. Saturn, Mercury and Ketu are his friends, whereas Sun, Mars and Venus are his enemies. Jupiter and moon are neutral to him.

If Sun and Venus are placed together in a horoscope, Rahu will generally provide adverse results. Similarly, Rahu will provide bad results if Saturn and Sun are also combined in a horoscope. Here Mars will also become Mars negative. If Ketu is placed in houses earlier than Rahu, Rahu will provide adverse results (but not always), whereas Ketu's effect would be zero.  Rahu eclipses Sun and Ketu eclipses Moon.  During the period of eclipses, Rahu destroys Sun and Ketu destroyes Moon.
