The RC&D picks up bicycles from drop-off sites and transports them to Ellsworth Correctional Fa-cility, where inmates restore the bikes to good working condition. Residents of Miami County, as well as any of the other fi ve Lake Region counties, can apply for a bike for themselves or their children. The program is possible due to small grants and dedicated volunteers.
