  After graduating Michael Featherstone started teaching at various academic institutions but could not get the right opportunity. Six months later he was hired in Barnard Castle School. Barnard Castle School is a co-educational school in the market city of Barnard Adventure, Nation Durham, in the Northern Eastern of Britain. The name was modified in 1924. The school is set in its own 50-acre region in T-shirts dale, within the Northern Pennines, an Area of Excellent Natural Beauty.
