IndieRocket.com is an online music store that focuses on selling mp3s by independent artists and small record labels.
The client had no specific requests other than thelogo should convey the concept of music. I decided to create a rocket with a lower case “i”representing the rocket’s portal. The equalizerbecame the rocket’s exhaust during launch. F.I.T.E. concepts and final
Freelance
F.I.T.E. (Fighter Inspired Training for Everyone)is a fitness studio that uses the training methods used by martial artists to get non-fighters in shape.
The client requested that the logo look bold and incorporate an illustration of a fighter. I decided to incorporate the number 4 to split up the word FIT from the E. Thus the logo can be read Fighter Inspired Training 4 Everyone, FITE or FIT 4 Everyone.
Scanlon & Associates conceptsFreelance
Scanlon & Associates is a law firm in Covington, KY. Their only direction for
this logo, was that it incorporate the clock tower, located outside their offices.

identity
Repair the World ConceptsPhotonics Graphics
Repair the World is a Non-Profit company that makes T-shirts from Bamboo Fibers, and givesthe proceeds to tribal peoples who harvest the Bamboo and create the shirts.
I design directed this piece, and also decided to create a few concepts of my own.
Business Resource Associates Identity
Photonics Graphics
I design directed this corporate identity for
a business consulting firm. Of all of the concepts
we created this was the least like the current
identity being used by the consultant. We were
not sure that he would choose this one,
but we felt it was strong.
In the end he felt that this concept most
closely matched with his purpose as a
consultant, connecting various components
of a business together.

packagingPrilosec OTC packaging for NASCAR in-store promotion.
For this project I worked on the concept, design & production. This package was part of a larger campaign, that featured in-store displays as well as print advertising, which I also designed and worked through production. This campaign was also part of a larger, year-long in-store campaign that won “Best Global In-Store” from P&G.

In addition to versioning designs over a variety of sizes and working each SKU to print readyproduction files, I also re-established Colgate/Palmolive’s Drug Facts Guidelines. This included reading Government regulations and translating them into a Spec-Sheetfor use across all Colgate/Palmolive brands.

Millstone Coffee FSCI concepts and final design for the P&G Brandsaver.Saatchi & Saatchi X
These groups represent original concept sketches on the top, and final printed Ad on the bottom. I use a combination of Sketches and photo collage to convey the idea I am trying to communicate to the client. The first “Cake in a Cup” concept won “Best Unused Concept” from Saatchi & Saatchi X, because the ad had been so radically altered by the final.

in-storePrilosec In-Store CampaignSaatchi & Saatchi X
Most of my time at Saatchi & Saatchi Xwas spent designing broad in-store campaigns for Prilosec OTC. I would usually concept and design between 4-5 different campaigns for each year. I would then version eachcampaigns across 20 different tactics, then produce the production files for each tactic. This was done so that the retailer could pick and choose which campaign they would use in-store.

I was the design director for P&G’sProfessional Dental Care web site. I managed a staff of designers and web developers to create the look of all aspects of the site.
The JCDPPhotonics Graphics
The Journal of Contemporary Dentistry,or JCDP, is a bimonthly journal thatalso serves as a marketing piece for P&G Professional Dental Care.My responsibility, as the design director, was to oversee the creation of each issue of the Journal by coordinating writers, editors, illustrators & developers to deliver an on-time, on-budget journal every other month.
The Journal contains a proximately 20 contributors, from around the world, for each issue. Each study requires a number of illustrations as determined by the author. In addition to the 6 bimonthly journals, a 7th Special issue occurs at the beginning of each year, to capture all of the unpublished studies from the previous year. The deadlines are extremely tight.
During my tenure on the Journal, in addition to getting it out on-time, I was also able to get the Journal on-budget. Something that had not been done previously.
