Tú Commands
Affirmative commands- Drop the “s” from the 2nd person verb. Substitues the direct object with the
pronoun “lo” Add an accent to the “antepenúltima” (3rd
to last syllable) Comes la hamburguesa. Cómelo. ¡Compras la camiseta! ¡Cómpralo!

Tú Commands
Negative Commands- Change the verb to the 1st person singular form
Comprar Compro Change the last letter to the opposite vowel (-
ar verbs -e, -er/-ir verbs -a) Compro Compre
Add an “s” to the end of the word. Compre Compres
Add a “no” in front and substitute any objects with a “lo” after the “no.” Comprar la camiseta No lo compres.

There are 3 instances in which to add a Direct Object Pronoun:
1. Infnitives Voy a cómerlo.
I am going to eat it.
2. In an affirmative command ¡Cómelo!
Eat it!
3. In a present progressive (gerund) Estoy comiéndolo.
