Metallic Spike Bracelet You Will Need; • Swarovski Spike Twin Hole Beads 7.5mm • Size 8 Seed Beads • Clasp • Beading Thread • Two Beading Needles • Scissors We used x11 Spike Beads to make an approx. 17cm bracelet. Step 1. Cut approx. 2 metres of nymo or KO thread and thread a needle onto both ends. String 3 seed beads, one half of the clasp and 3 seed beads. Using one of the needles, go back through all the seed beads and clasp to form a loop. Step 2. Pick up a seed bead onto one strand and then cross the other strand through this same strand. Pick up a seed bead onto each strand, cross both strands through one seed bead and then string a seed bead onto each strand. Pass each strand through the twin holes on the first spike bead. Step 3. Continue adding beads to the design in the following sequence; add 1x seed bead onto each strand, cross both strands through 1x seed bead, add 1x seed bead to each strand, add 1x twin hole spike beads. Continue until your bracelet is long enough.

Step2.

Pickupaseedbeadontoonestrandandthencrosstheotherstrandthroughthissamestrand.Pickupaseedbeadontoeachstrand,crossbothstrandsthroughoneseedbeadandthenstringaseedbeadontoeachstrand.Passeachstrandthroughthetwinholesonthefirstspikebead.

Step3.

Continueaddingbeadstothedesigninthefollowingsequence;add1xseedbeadontoeachstrand,crossbothstrandsthrough1xseedbead,add1xseedbeadtoeachstrand,add1xtwinholespikebeads.Continueuntilyourbraceletislongenough.

Step4.

Nowaddthefinalbeadsinthissection;add1xseedbeadontoeachstrand,crossbothstrandsthrough1xseedbead,add1xseedbeadtoeachstrand,crossbothstrandsthrough1xseedbead.Ontoonestrandaddx3seedbeads,theotherpartoftheclaspandx3seedbeads.Nowpassitbackthroughthelastseedbeadyoucrossedthrough.

Step5.

Passtheotherstrandthroughthealreadyaddedx3seedbeads,Clasp,3xseedbeadsandoutthroughtheseedbeadyoucrossedthrough.Reinforcetheloopbypassingbackthroughtheseedbeadsandclaspandcomingbacktothecrossedthroughbead.Continuethroughthenextseedbead.

Step6.

Youwillnowbeginaddingextrabeads.Takeonestrandandpickuponeseedbeadandgothroughthenextseedbead.Pickupx4seedbeadsandthreadthroughthenextseedbeads,thesex4seedssitaroundthespike.Continuethisalongthesideofthebraceletandthenrepeatfortheotherside.

Step7.

Youshouldfinishbycrossingthroughtheseedbeadoppositetheclasp.Nowworkyourwaybackthroughallthebeadstoreinforceandstrengthenthedesign.Whenyouhavefinishedtiehalfhitchknotsasyougo,pullingthelastthroughaseedbeadandtrimmingthethread.Youwillneedtodothisforbothstrands.
