LIVE AUCTIONApproximately 15 items will be auctioned live on the evening of November 2. Please be generous in your bids.This is our biggest fundraiser and continues to provide enjoyable community events for the entire year.
SILENT AUCTION• Silent auction item bidding begins the same evening as the Live Auction and continues the following
morning. Bidding will continue online for items that still have openings.
• For items that have a minimum bid, you may continue to bid but MUST bid a higher price than the previousbidder to successfully win.
• For items that have a fixed bid, the first people to sign up win. Later bidders will be placed on a waitlist.
• You will be notified and invoiced by email if you are a winning bidder for silent auction items.
• If you are the winner of a particular service or item, it is your responsibility to contact the donor once youhave paid to arrange for pickup or delivery of the service or item. Items stored at the Fellowship will beavailable for pick up upon payment of your invoice.
EVENTS (DINNERS, ETC.)If you later find that you are unable to attend an event, you should contact the Service Auction Committee at [email protected], who will check the waitlist to find a replacement. Alternatively, you may consider your payment to be a tax-deductible donation to the Fellowship. Also, please notify the host/hostess ofyour unavailability.
SERVICESSome services specify dates by which the service must be taken; all other services must be taken by September30, 2020. If you have bought a service but do not take it by the time limit, your payment will be considered atax-deductible donation to the Fellowship. Thank you.
All goods and services are offered “As Is.” You participate in all events at your own risk. By his or her purchase,the buyer waives any claim for liability against either the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship or the donor ofproperty or services that may result from the utilization of property or services sold. The Service AuctionCommittee reserves the right to determine the winning bid(s), to make any corrections to a listing, or towithdraw an item that does not reach the minimum price. Silent Auction Bidding RulesThere are two ways to bid—Minimum Bid or Fixed Price.
mINImUm BID – In order to win, you must make the highest bid. Please check the offerings until the biddingon these items is closed, to see if you want to bid higher.
INCREMENTS – If the minimum bid for an item is $99 or less, you must raise the bid by at least $5 to beconsidered. If minimum bids are $100-$199, bids increase by at least $10. If items start at $200 or more, bidsincrease by $25 or more.
FIXED pRICE – This is THE price. Whoever signs up first wins.
ONE NAME to a line on the bid sheets please.
pROXIES – If someone has paid the proxy fee for you to bid on their behalf, that person should give youinstructions on items of interest and maximum prices that you are authorized to bid. You will be given a proxybidding paddle to use during the Live Auction. For the Silent Auction, you may print the name of the person forwhom you are the proxy bidder on the bid sheets in the Terrace Room on November 2.

Our Director of Music Ministries, Stearns Matthews, released his debut album in November 2014. A mix of musical theatre, standards, and pop, the album was produced by Paul Rolnick for Zevely Records and features musical direction and arrangements by Christopher Denny. Stearns’ vocal work has been acclaimed by NYC critics. SPARK, the CD, won the 2015 MAC Award and the2015 Bistro Award for Best Recording. Visitwww.stearnsmatthews.com for more info. His second album is a recording of the song cycle December Songs, words and music by Maury Yeston. It was released in November of 2017 and is the first-ever recording of the work with a male singer. December Songs is a modern retelling of Schubert’s “Die Winterreise.”
