Metal seated gate valve, PN16, designed according to EN1074 part 1 & 2, Face to faceaccording to EN 558 table 2 basic series 3.
Use: For water, sewage and neutral liquids to max. 70°C
Hydraulic tests: Seat: 1.1 x PN Body: 17 bar (PN 10), 25 bar (PN 16)Applicable Standards: To EN 1074 Part 1 & 2 : 2000 (BS 5163: 1986 type B)Flange drilling to EN 1092-2: PN 10 or PN 16

B. Body/bonnet connectionThe unique assembly of the valve body and bonnetensures a durable tightness: A round rubber bonnet gasket fits into a recess in thevalve bonnet preventing it from being blown out bypressure surges.
C. Shoes and channel (optional)Shoes and Channels are manufactured fromGunmetal and help to reduce friction between thewedge and body during operation. Accuratealignment is also achieved. Shoes and Channels arenecessary when horizontal installation of the valve isrequired.
D. Wedge nutThe wedge nut is made of bronze with lubricatingabilities providing optimum compatibility with thestainless steel stem.
E. WedgeThe wedge is made from ductile iron with bronze facerings which are machined to a fine surface finish toensure optimum contact seal with body seat rings.The wedge face rings are accurately machined andfirmly secured to the wedge. The guides in the wedgeensure uniform closure regardless of high pressures.The wedge has a large through bore housing thestem that ensures no stagnant water or impuritiescan collect. The wedge is fully protected by a coatingof fusion bonded epoxy coating.
