Junior Kids Preschool Ages 3-5 Environment - Course Correction - God the Father had big plans for his Son Jesus, which would help all of us get on the right path. I wonder: How can I listen to God? Remember Verse: Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” Isaiah 30:21 Kids Cove Grade 1- 4 To introduce our new curriculum, we are telling “God’s Big Story” this morning. God has woven His redemptive plan throughout time, and we want kids to understand both the part they play in this incredible story and also that they’re part of a much larger faith community - of past, present, and future believers. 56 Degrees Grades 5 & 6 In Jan, we are continuing our journey through the N T, looking at an overview of the books Philippians and Colossians. As we piece together the parts of God’s big story, we discover how this is a story of God’s plan and His love for us. Next Fusion Sunday - February 2 God’s Big Story - David and Goliath (God is Victorious) Environment - Modeling - God demonstrates to us how He shows His glory through lives surrendered to Him. Jesus answered ”I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know Him and have seen Him.” John 14:6-7

Scent-free Zone in the sanctuary: This area is designated to accommodate those individuals with fragrance sensitivities. We ask that you respect this designation. (includes colognes, perfumes, soaps, cosmetics, fabric detergent & softener, etc.)

Bibles (New Living Translation) are available at the Info Desk. You are welcome to ask for one before each service, or, if you need a Bible, consider it our gift to you.

JH Friday: “Paintball” 7 - 9:30pm! Welcome to PAINTBALL - Eastview style. We’re building a giant paintball course in the gym. The same rules apply as regular paintball, only we’re not using paint ;) No cost. Wear gym clothes. SH Friday: Small Groups: Leaders will be in contact with you. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please feel free to help your leader plan this event! SOAR Heartland 2014: Calling all SH Students! We are participating in SOAR Heartland this Spring Break from March 27 - April 5, 2014. SOAR is an inner city mission trip and it’s AWESOME! We are looking for 20 students who are ready to grow with God and learn what it means to serve and tell others about Him. Registrations are due Jan 31, 2014. Contact Cory for more information. We are looking for gas card donations and 4 mini vans to use over Spring Break. If you’re able to help us out, please contact Cory Bell. Don’t miss our SOUP 4 SOAR Fundraiser Lunch on Sunday, February 23! JH Life Development Sundays: All junior high students are invited to join us in the youth room in either service for a time of discussions and connecting with friends. Grab a hot chocolate and come hang out!

Young Adults: Are you out of High School and looking to plug into a great group of young people here at Eastview? Contact Cory Bell in the office and we’ll make sure that happens. We have two YA care groups that meet on Tuesdays and Fridays, currently studying ‘Red Letter Christians’ and ‘Alpha’.

1 Timothy 1:12-17 NLT I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength to do His work. He considered me trustworthy and appointed me to serve Him, even though I used to blaspheme the name of Christ. In my insolence, I persecuted His people. But God had mercy on me because I did it in ignorance and unbelief. Oh, how generous and gracious our Lord was! He filled me with the faith and love that came from Christ Jesus. This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” - and I am the worst of them all. But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners. Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in him and receive eternal life. All honour and glory to God forever and ever! He is the eternal King, the unseen one who never dies; He alone is God. Amen.

Worship Gathering @ One88 Join us for worship, coffee, and conversation on Thursdays at 7:00pm. Community in Conversation @ One88 Tuesdays from 11:30 - 1:00pm Join us Tuesdays as we spend time talking, discussing (even arguing) through matters of the Christian faith. It’s a great place to ask questions and gain a new perspective from a diverse group of people. Beginning Jan 7, we will be going through Tim Keller's book Counterfeit gods. You are welcome to join us anytime between 11:30 and 1:00. A light lunch is provided. (A limited number of books will be available for purchase $14). Literacy Evening in Upper Room Wednesdays from 6:30 - 9:00pm If you are interested in helping out with this, please contact Dave or Greg. Upper Room @ 188 Princess is open Saturday mornings for breakfast, beginning at 9:00am, going until 2:00pm. Come use the space to study, pray, read, meet, or just hang out. A continental breakfast is available (along with tea/coffee) for $4. Specialty coffee is also available.

Hampstead School Breakfast Club If you are interested in serving Mon, Wed, or Friday mornings, or are interested in baking healthy muffins, loaves or goodies, contact Greg at [email protected]. Hampstead School Breakfast Club is looking for a person(s) to act as Hospitality Aide for each Breakfast Club morning. The role of the Hospitality Aide would be to greet the children, help them with their winter clothing if needed, usher the children in, encourage them to eat their breakfast and help get them back out to class on time. The focus is on intentional interaction with them. The hope is that this would help the children make wiser food and amount choices, reduce waste, and curb attention-seeking and inappropriate behaviour. Please prayerfully consider this serving opportunity. Contact [email protected] or [email protected] for more info. Thank you!
