Greetings! I am pleased to present the Fifteenth Annual Report of The ICFAI University, Tripura for the year 2018-19. The report covers the activities for the period from April 01, 2018 to March 31, 2019. It is indeed a pleasure for me to acknowledge that the University has completed fifteen years of its existence. The University has tremendous strengths that provide a powerful platform for students to achieve success. Our commitment to high quality and engaged classroom learning has been proven beyond doubt since more than a decade. We have a sterling reputation among potential students, recruiters, and society. A spirit of identification with this university encompasses all sections of the ICFAI family: faculty, staff, students, and alumni. Members of ICFAI family operate in an environment that respects autonomy with a purpose, ethics and values the will to work, and encourages all to put their best efforts to good use. We have full commitment in providing a rewarding educational experience to our students and developing relevant knowledge on the frontiers of best practice and predefined policy. As a university committed to educating leaders of tomorrow, we are following an approach which is imbibed within us the ability to nurture our students and make them feel extra-ordinary. We possess a high performance culture at this university by emphasizing and supporting a climate of autonomy and a purpose designed for betterment of our society at large. Professionals achieve their best when they have a sense of ownership of what they do. A sense of freedom and ownership of their pursuits unleashes their drive and creativity. Yet, the sense of autonomy must come with a sentiment that one must strive to do one’s best and stretch to expand one’s own potential. This university has tremendous potential of building a presence far beyond what we are able to achieve today. We are aiming to have an impact commensurate with our ambitions, and ensuring that we maintain and upgrade the quality of our people and our experience. We also maintain and impart a broad perspective and an action orientation through real life analysis, empirical projects, and field work; we encourage our students to develop a holistic perspective on issues. We ask our students to address not only the “why” and ‘’what’’ questions but also the “how” question. Hopefully, going through this exercise day in and day out through live projects and field work build “mental muscle,” an intuitive approach to issues from a leader’s perspective, a perspective that leads to creative, holistic, and action-oriented solutions to challenges and opportunities. My faculty members, mentoring the students have given their best to nurture and fine tune the students. Their guidance enabled students to believe in themselves and believe in ICFAI University, Tripura. We would like to acknowledge and thank the Government of Tripura for its support to the University from the inception and constant guidance. We hope that the Government will continue with their support which will enable us to achieve our vision Vice Chancellor Message from the Vice Chancellor The ICFAI University, Tripura: Annual Report - 2018-19 3 Vice Chancellor Dr. Ajay Pathak (up to July 31, 2019) Vice Chancellor (incharge) Dr. Rajiv Lochan Pareek (assumed office on August 07, 2019)
