  • PROBLEM As per NCTE Regulations, 2014 most of the Teachers Training Institution of West Bengal will be able to teach only one basic unit of 50 students for the coming academic session 2015-16 (for B.Ed). In that case, the total number of pass out student teachers will be approximately 50 % of the previous academic session. Besides in the academic session 2016-17 no trained teachers will come out as because the regular B.Ed course will be of two years duration. As per RTE Act, 2009 after 31.03.2015 it is not possible to recruit any untrained teachers in the upper primary and secondary schools of West Bengal. So a huge gap will be created between the demand and supply of the human resources in respect to recruitment of teachers in Schools of West Bengal.
