MESA ObjectivesTo increase the number of ethnic

minority and female students who wish to pursue careers in mathematics, engineering, and science areas.

To provide activities to motivate ethnic minorities and female students to take advantage of educational opportunities.

MESA Objectives (cont)

To increase graduation rates of targeted students.

To strengthen the self-image of targeted students relating to success in math and science courses.

To provide the opportunity to associate with successful role models.
