From All of Us To All of You…
Merry Christmas and
Happy New Year!
May this season find you abundantly blessed and deeply thankful for the gift of family. From our
family to yours, we wish you the best of the holidays! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your lives.
Gingerbread for the Holidays
The sweet and spicy smell of gingerbread is a clear indication that the holiday season is in full swing. By the time Gingerbread House Day arrives on December 12, you may have already indulged in eating this seasonal treat.
The shape of gingerbread is commonly found to be gingerbread men and miniature houses made of the cookie. This is why a gingerbread house figured so prominently in the tale Hansel and Gretel, first published by The Brothers Grimm in the 19th century.
Gingerbread has deeper roots than Hansel and Gretel. Perhaps it stems from the development of gingerbread by German monks. No matter the reason, warm, spicy gingerbread has become a tradition during the holiday season.
“Tour of Trees” Residents, family members, and friends of The Meadows
have, once again, created the most environment! Now, we want you to help vote for your favorites! The trees in the contest are numbered, as well
as displayed on the voting table by the front desk. Each person may vote once a day. Friends, family members, staff and
community partners are encouraged to vote, as well! Voting takes place Tuesday, December 3rd –Sunday, December 22nd. The winners will be
announced by December 24th.
Also, join us on December 9th for an Open House to celebrate and thank our amazing participants!
We are so thankful to have such an involved and dedicated community! Thank you and Happy Holidays to all!

Ignite Medical Program We've had an incredible opportunity to partner with Ignite Professional
Studies program through Bentonville High School. Through this program, students participating in the medical classes spent their semester doing
Companion Clinicals. We consider ourselves extremely fortunate to welcome around 12 students going through these classes on a weekly basis. We want to
thank them for their dedication and personal attention, as they spent hours talking, laughing, walking, and even bringing pets to visit and surprising us
with treats. We invite you to help us thank them at the

and turned in to Ann Standley by December 16th.
If writing a check, please write “Staff Bonus” on the explanation line. The
