Kids have an amazing ability to throw up a huge range of tricky situaons, awkward incidents and complicated interacons. It seems that our parents and carers, no maer how deli- cate, confronng or worrying the issue may be, are always willing to engage with me and the school in a posive and respecul way that has a clear focus on achieving a soluon. I cannot tell you how much difference it makes when parents or carers start come to school looking for help and a soluon. The very fact that your focus is on the needs of your child or children (as it should be), and ours is on all 220 of your children is complicaon enough and yet EVERY single one of our families this year has been willing to work with us, trust us and talk to us no maer what the situaon or incident. I do not underesmate the pa- ence and respect that is shown by our families every single day. It is our families that make our school, and without you on board like you are we cannot look aſter your kids like we do. Thank you! I would also like to thank each and every one of our incredible staff. They put up with a lot from me and the kids as we strive to make sure everyone is valued and respected and they do it with a level of enthusiasm, professionalism and dedicaon that never ceases to amaze me. We have a very special team at FPVC at the moment from the Front Office to the maintenance shed and everything in between. Along with our families and kids they are the heart and soul of our school. So, to our incredible staff, thank you! We have finalised classes and teachers for next year. If you have any concerns then please contact me, but I can assure you that each individual placement of each individual student has been carefully considered. I have complete faith in the skills of all of our teachers and SLSO’s and I am very excited about the opportunies these new classes will offer your child in 2018. Our teams will consist of the following: Merry Christmas & a Safe and Happy New Year!

Diary Welcome, dare I say it, to the last newsletter of the year! I would like to take this oppor-

tunity to unreservedly thank our entire school community for their support and involve-

ment throughout 2017. To our parents and carers, an incredible debt of gratitude! Kids

have an amazing ability to throw up a huge range of tricky situations, awkward incidents

and complicated interactions. It seems that our parents and carers, no matter how deli-

cate, confronting or worrying the issue may be, are always willing to engage with me and

the school in a positive and respectful way that has a clear focus on achieving a solution. I

cannot tell you how much difference it makes when parents or carers start come to school

looking for help and a solution. The very fact that your focus is on the needs of your child

or children (as it should be), and ours is on all 220 of your children is complication enough

and yet EVERY single one of our families this year has been willing to work with us, trust

us and talk to us no matter what the situation or incident. I do not underestimate the pa-

tience and respect that is shown by our families every single day. It is our families that

make our school, and without you on board like you are we cannot look after your kids

like we do. Thank you!

I would also like to thank each and every one of our incredible staff. They put up with a lot

from me and the kids as we strive to make sure everyone is valued and respected and

they do it with a level of enthusiasm, professionalism and dedication that never ceases to

amaze me. We have a very special team at FPVC at the moment from the Front Office to

the maintenance shed and everything in between. Along with our families and kids they

are the heart and soul of our school. So, to our incredible staff, thank you!

We have finalised classes and teachers for next year. If you have any concerns then please

contact me, but I can assure you that each individual placement of each individual student

has been carefully considered. I have complete faith in the skills of all of our teachers and

SLSO’s and I am very excited about the opportunities these new classes will offer your

child in 2018. Our teams will consist of the following:

Merry Christmas

&

a Safe and Happy New Year!

Wednesday is our Presentation Day. It starts in the hall at 9:30am and we invite all interested community

members to come along and help us to celebrate the achievements of our wonderful kids!

be a disco for all Stage 3 students. Formal presentation is at 8:45. Lights out at 9:00pm sharp!

Friday is our last day. Stage 2 and Stage 3 are heading to our local indoor pool for a swim and a BBQ. Sup-

port classes are heading to Yarrahappini for the mega slide.

First day back in 2018 is Tuesday 30th January.

Thank you again for being such a huge part of our school and supporting us to make sure that each and

every individual child in our care has the opportunity to reach their full potential academically, socially,

physically and emotionally.

Have a happy Christmas and a safe new year.

Help!

One of our students had his pushbike stolen from a backyard in Macksville over the

weekend. This bike means a lot to the owner. If you see it could you please call

Community Christmas

Last Friday, many of our Indigenous students were at Bellwood Park, celebrating Christmas with Durri and

Darrimba Maarra Health Clinic

There were jumping castles, music and deadly giveaways. Our students certainly had a great day within

our community!
