Merging an Incoming Call into an Existing Conference Call

Version A – Microsoft Lync 2010
1. Make your conference call window visible if it already isn’t.
2. When an incoming call comes into you that you want to join to the Lync conference call, answer
it (which will place your presence on the conference call on hold).
3. Click the People Options button on the new call you just joined, then click Group
Conversation (x Participants) under the ‘Merge this call into’ heading.
4. At that point, the conference call will now have the new participant added and you will
automatically unhold from the conference call ready to start conversing.
Version B – Microsoft Lync 2013
1. Make your conference call window visible if it already isn’t.
2. When an incoming call comes into you that you want to join to the Lync conference call, answer
it (which will place your presence on the conference call on hold).
3. Click the Ellipsis (…) button, then click Merge this call into, then click Conversation (x
Participants).
4. At that point, the conference call will now have the new participant added and you will
automatically unhold from the conference call ready to start conversing.
