Men indicted for the murder of Hector Benavides

The office of the District Attorney reports the indictment of Felipe Arizpe-Rosales, Justin Jerman Hernandez and Efrain Leonel Hernandez by the 406th district court grand jury for the murder of Hector Benavides.

It is alleged that on November 15, 2015, Hector Benavides was attacked and severely beaten by Felipe Arizpe-Rosales, Justin Jerman Hernandez and Efrain Leonel Hernandez at the parking lot of Rumors Country Patio in north Laredo. Benavides was taken to a local hospital in critical condition before being airlifted to a hospital in San Antonio, Texas. He died two days later as a result of the injuries.

The three men were arrested in early December and charged with murder, a first degree felony in the State of Texas. All defendants remain in custody at the Webb County Jail with a million-dollar bond.
