As Mrs Mekonnen was not granted a working visa for Sudan, she was based in Addis Ababa where she was coordinating the programs in Sudan through distance management. Due to this challenge, the working relationship with Mrs Tsehay Mekonnen will unfortunately end on 31't December 2Q14. The purpose of the mission was to develop, implement and consolidate the SRC program, based on a strategy which supports a comprehensive Community Based Health Care and a Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Program in Sennar State linked with volunteer man- agement and organizational development in order to strengthen the partner's capacities. Main tasks: . Represent SRC towards the Sudanese Red Crescent Society (SRCS), ICRC, IFRC and other Organizations and lnstitutions. . Maintain close and constructive relationships with the personnel of the above men- tioned partners and organizations. o Ensure that the projects developed together with the SRCS are in line with guidelines, strategies and concepts of both SRC and the SRCS. o Manage all SRC support projects implemented through (SRCS) according to the ex- pected project objectives and within approved budgets. o Advise SRC headquarters on relevant strategic issues, project procedures and threats or risks to the successful implementation of the projects . Ensure that procedures, regulations and capacities of the SRCS branch in Sennar and at headquarters in financial and narrative reporting of projects are in line with the needs of back donors and the SRC Quality Management System. . Supervise and support financial and narrative reporting of the projects at Branch and Headquarter level and execute budget control. . Report to the SRC headquarters and to back donors as required. . Prepare and document hand over. Despite the fact that Mrs Mekonnen was not based in Sudan, she did her best to operate and coordinate the programs in Sudan to our great satisfaction. Thanks to her vast experience in developing countries and her previous working experience in Sudan, Mrs Mekonnen quickly became acquainted with her work and could cope with the very demanding circumstances. and motivate them also through distance management. Tsehay Mekonnen is always eager tolearn and looks for options to build her capacity.

She maintained a good relation with the SRC headquarters and informed timely and ade-quately about project development and decisions. The communication and exchange wasclear and in a constantly constructive working atmosphere. We appreciated very much towork with Mrs Mekonnen and we are afraid not being able to continue working with her.

We would like to thank Mrs Mekonnen most sincerely for her work and commitment she con-tributed to our project in Sudan. We would be glad to work with her again in the future andwish her all the best.
