Edition 9: 2019-2020 19 October 2019 Our meeting this week was an opportunity to catch up and reflect on the Art Show and other events members have been involved in recently. We welcomed Honorary Member Edith Chen back from China and new member Shraddha Sharma from her trip to Italy and Paris. I was delighted to report to members that our efforts to obtain charity registration and DGR status have finally been approved by ACNC and the ATO. This has been a journey of two years of dedicated work from Peter Donnellan, Sam Nicol and I and with the amazing efforts of David Finney from the Rotary Club of Brighton who has worked with us for 18 months ticking every box, completing every document, pursuing our cause and liaising with the Australia Charities & Not for Profit Commission. Congratulations to Rob and Anne Lawrence as they welcome a new grandson, Jack born to their son James and his wife last week. Please RSVP to Geoff or Dulcie for our October Blue Moon—the annual bowling and croquet challenge at Maribyrnong Park Bowling Club on Wednesday October 30th. This is an opportunity for partners, family and friends to join us for a fun night and BBQ dinner. Please let Sam Nicol know if you can help with the playground container repacking on Saturday October 26th at 10am at Donations in Kind. PDG Peter Frueh—Membership Survey Within our cluster of clubs we are conducting a survey to find out what our club members think about our club. The 10 questions is a much condensed version of the Club Health Check and covers a range of areas: * Club service and fellowship * New member support * Public image of the club * Club operation and effectiveness

The final open ended question seeks your input on what we could do better. This will help us make sure our Club will be attractive to new members, and retain them once they join

There are only ten questions and the average time to complete is 4 minutes.

Once we have replies in, we will analyse the responses and discuss them and potential initiatives for improvement at a club assembly.

Could you please assist us by completing the survey at the link below:
