PlushyPals at the Zoo

Hare and Bunny came in jumping up, laughing and talking.

Hare said Weve just told that Mouse is taking us all to the Zoo!

That will be great said the other PlushyPals. When do we go?

Tomorrow said Bunny And we need a picnic.

The next day Mouse came up in her little mini bus. Everyone got in the bus and

Monkey, the driver, set off. It was a bumpy ride and the PlushyPals were all

glad to get out. When they got there they paid the 5 pence entrance fee and

went to see the animals. Mouse led the way; there were loads of animals to

see, including Humans, pigeons and baby Humans.

When they reached the end they stopped for lunch. Mouse had prepared a

lovely cake for afters, which they all enjoyed.

As they made their way to the souvenir shop they met PC Bull Dog. He had just

had to chase one of the Humans because it had escaped. He was out of breath

and thirsty. Mouse gave him some acornade and cake. Then the PlushyPals

went on to the souvenir shop.

Mouse bought a lovely toy human called a Doll; it had yellow fur on its head

and wore a little dress over its furless body. It even had a little cot to sleep in.

The PlushyPals were very tired after their day at the zoo, and all went home

happy but sleepy.

PlushyPals at The fair

Puppy was walking home from school one day when he met his uncle

PC BullDog. PC BullDog told him that the fair was coming to

PlushyPal Hill. Puppy ran the rest of the way home as quick as hecould. When he got there he was out of breath as he said F-Fair

come t-t-t-to Plu-u-ssh-h-hill

When the other PlushyPals finally understood what he was trying to

tell them they were so excited that they didnt see Monkey come in

or hear him say Ive got some tickets for Puppy from PC BullDog, he

said they are for the Fair

Later when they had calmed down a bit Monkey told them againabout the tickets and they got all excited again. Puppy grabbed the

tickets and yelled Its tomorrow!

All the PlushyPals started fussing around, making plans and counting

their money.

The next day at the fair they all rushed to their favourite rides. Puppy

gave the man at the bottom of the Helterskelter some money, pickedup a mat and raced to the top. After he had come whizzing down he

had another go, and another.

Hare, Bunny, Mouse and Kitty were all on the Bumper Cars. Hare

and Bunny bumped into Mouse and Kittys car so hard that poor

mouse nearly fell out!

Cow, Bear-Cub, Duck and Monkey went on the prize stalls. Cow won

a necklace, Bear-cub a new pair of braces, Duck lost every time andMonkey won a teddy, a coconut, a hair bow and a great big bag of

sweets which he will share with all the other PlushyPals.

Just before they went home Puppy went to the candy floss stall and

bought them all a big stick of candy floss. They eat the candy floss as

they walk home and it is all gone by the time they get back, but they

still have the big bag of sweets to eat after dinner that night, so they

are all happy.

Bunny

In the garden at the early morn

You might see her as she mows the lawn

Her name is Bunny as you may know

She loves to garden, her flowers to show

On afternoons she likes to dig

She sometimes does this with her friend Pig

When on adventures they both go

Dont worry if she is slow

She drops behind to inspect the flowers

She may stop for at least two hours

The others joke she has green fingers

Because in summer and winter too

In the Garden Bunny lingers

When there is no room left in the soil, she puts her plants in a shoe

Every year the PlushyPals get excited

To see what new flowers come up now

Digging lots of soil is hard

So the PlushyPals help if theres a lot to do

And for their supper they are united

Bunnys vegetables make them wow

Meet Bear-Cub and Monkey

Bear-cub is the youngest of the PlushyPals. He is one foot high andwears dungarees, he is an orangey brown colour.

When the PlushyPals are on an exciting adventure they are always

glad to have Bear-cub with them. He is one of the bravest of all the

PlushyPals and is never afraid to try anything new, even if it may be a

bit frightening.

Sometimes though bear-cub can be too adventurous for his own

good and gets himself into some tricky situations. Then the other

PlushyPals have to come and help him for a change!

But Bear-cub will always listen to what he is told by the other

PlushyPals, and sometimes he even remembers it!

His best friend is Monkey, who is smaller than him at only 3/4 of a

foot tall. Monkey wears a checked shirt and is brown and biscuit

coloured.

Monkey likes being Bear-cubs best friend as they both like to climb

trees, sometimes Monkey will hang upside down from a branch by

his tail.

Monkey drives Mouses mini bus for the PlushyPals when they go onadventures.

Bear-cub and Monkey have a favourite game, its called chase and

catch. Being clumsy bear-cub often falls over when they play and

monkey always laughs, but bear-cub wont give in, he smartly smacks

monkey on the nose, then quickly runs off on the tip of his toes so

monkey will give chase and once again they are playing chase and

catch.

Cow

Of all the PlushyPals Cow is the one the others go to for sensibleadvice, as Cow is the most sensible of all the PlushyPals.

She is always good natured and cheerful with a smile for everyone.

No problem is too small for her.

And if there is an emergency or something important to do the

PlushyPals will ask Cow what she thinks.

Cow also has a wonderful imagination and is a marvellous storyteller.

On long winter evenings the other PlushyPals will sometimes ask her

to tell them a story.

Cow will sit down on a big chair in the sitting room, with a huge fire

blazing away, and tell them an exciting or funny tale.

Cow is the eldest of the PlushyPals and has a special story to share

about herself and her first... well you will see!

Cows First Date

One day Cow was on her way to Goats Shop on her lovely big two

wheeler bike, which was red with golden wheel spokes.

When she reached the shop she got off her bike and went inside.

She picked up the sugar, cocoa, acornade, blackberry pie and biscuits

she had been sent to get for the PlushyPals. She went up to the

counter and saw that Goat had a new assistant. He was a tall, strong

handsome Bull, the most lovely thing Cow had ever seen.

Anything else lovie? He said looking at the pile of food and drink

she had put on the counter.

Forgetting herself and blushing Cow said Some earrings please

Which ones? he said

Which ones do you like best? She asked

He leant over and held some against her ears, and suddenly shy Cow

backed off and said Ive changed my mind, how much for these

pointing at the items on the counter.

Thats one pound fifty-two pence please

After she paid they both just looked at each other and Bull finallysaid I must say you are the prettiest Cow Ive ever seen, would you

like to come to the village dance with me on Saturday?

Cow didnt know what to say, she felt like she was in love. Yes she

whispered, going bright red.

Ill pick you up at 7 Bull said.

Cow told him her address and went home forgetting her bike. She

was so excited to have a date. Cow is the oldest of the PlushyPals

and they were all excited for her as well. Monkey went to fetch her

bike for her later.

She spent all day Saturday getting ready and at exactly 7pm bull

knocked on the door. Cow rushed to open it, looking lovely in a

pretty pink dress. She introduced Bull to the other PlushyPals then

they went to the dance.

Cow and Bull had a lovely time at the dance and at 10pm when it

finished they went home full to the brim on acornade and dance

prizes and sore feet from dancing so much. Bunny, Hare, Kitty andPuppy had also gone to the dance and they all fell into their chairs

worn out.

Bull stayed for supper with the PlushyPals and when he went home

he gave cow a kiss on the cheek which made her go even redder than

before.

All the PlushyPals liked Bull and were happy that Cow would be his

girlfriend. They had all had a wonderful time at the dance and

decided they must go again soon, with their new friend Bull.

Hare

Hare is much the same as Bunny

Except that he is really funny

When they play at athletics

He can Pole Vault with the shortest of sticks

Puppy is Hares very best

friend

The go to the park at the

weekend

The pair of them mix just

right

They are clumsy and they

never fight

Once Hare gave Puppy some

carrots

Then they went on a trip to

Harrods

Hare is always joking and funny

Puppy listens while eating hunny

Puppy is just right for Hare

They listen to Cows stories together on the rocking chair

PlushyPals at the Holiday Camp

One day Kitty received a letter from her cousin Puma, it read:

When Kitty finished reading it to the other PlushPals there was up

roar, of course everyone wanted to go, a holiday camp would be

wonderful!

The PlushyPals had some pocket money saved up so they decided to

take some when they went. Duck and Pink Mouse couldnt go butthe others (being so kind) said they would bring them some presents

back.

When they were there they went to the amusement arcade where

they met up with Puma and her friend Elephant. They were playing

on the penny machine; Puma had won fifty pence and spent it on a

new hair ribbon. At the end of the day they all went on a tour of the

camp led by Puma and Elephant.

When Bunny saw the allotments she asked the others to carry on

without her as she wanted to look at all the lovely plants.

They carried on and came to the joke shop, Puppy asked them to

carry on without him, and so they did.

Deer Kity

I wood licke to no if you and your frends wood licke to kome to our house

for the summer as we have movd and now live at a hoilday camp. Pleeze

Next was the book shop, where they ended up leaving Mouse sitting

quietly reading.

As they carried on Bear Cub stopped at the tree house and Kitty

stopped at the museum.

Thinking it had gone very quiet as she sat on the beach Puma looked

around and saw that Elephant and Cow had curled up, fast asleep.

They spent several days having lots of fun at the holiday camp, then

it was time to go home.

When they got back Pink Mouse and Duck were very excited at the

huge boxes the others had bought with the, when they opened theboxes Puma and Elephant jumped out shouting

Surprise, were Puma and Elephant and weve come to stay with

you now!

They were holding two smaller boxes with Pink Mouse and Ducks

real presents inside. Pink Mouse and Duck were very pleased with

their presents, especially the big ones!

Puma on the Farm

Close to Plushy House is a big farm with lots of animals in the fields,

and hay in the barns.

One day Puma decided to go to the farm as the farmer was very

busy, so she decided to give him a hand with the work.

Now not being very clever Puma made a few mistakes. You see she

couldnt read yet and the wheelbarrows had written labels to say

what was in each.

She was helping to clean out the barns where the animals lived whenit gets cold.

She bought in a big wheelbarrow full of old bedding and tipped it

into the food troughs, then she put tipped the barrows of food all

over the bedding areas!

When the farmer saw what she had done he was surprised, but

luckily he was a jolly old man and instead of getting angry he justlaughed and got Puma to help him clean up her mistake. Then he

said Now Mz Puma, ye puts this ind food troughs pointing to the

barrow full of food And dis ind bedding areas

Yes, Mr Farmer Said Puma Im sorry I put them wrong before

Dont ye worry ye little head bout it, we just need to get you to

learn to read! said the farmer with a laugh.

Puma set to work putting everything in the right place and promised

to get the other PlushyPals to help her learn to read when she got

home.

She worked so hard that the farmer gave her some nice fresh eggs

and some butter to take home in return.

When she got home Puma made a nice big cake for all the PlushyPals

then sat down with Cow and Mouse to begin her reading lessons

next time she wouldnt make a silly mistake again!

Puma decorates her room

Puma likes her room to be clean and tidy all the time, even though

she can be a little untidy in the rest of the house at times!

One day she decided her room was looking a bit boring so decided to

decorate it.

She went to the store and chose some wallpaper with bows and

birds on it. When she got back she set to work putting it on the wall.

But she soon found out this was not such an easy job as she had

thought!

She bumped and banged for ages trying to get the paper to stick to

the wall. First she got it upside down, and then she knocked the

ladders over. She banged her head on the ceiling and dropped her

paste brush on the floor.

Bunny came in to see what all the noise was about just as Puma had

managed to get the first piece on the wall. Not noticing Bunny had

come in Puma was shuffling across the ladder smoothing out the

paper and knocked the paste tub onto Bunnys head!

Bunny shrieked and Elephant came to see what was going on to find

puma trying to pull the paste tub off Bunnys head.

Elephant is very good at DIY so after helping get the tub off Bunnys

head she offered to help Puma finish her room while Bunny went fora bath to wash all the paste off.

Working together made the job much easier and when they had

finally finished all the other PlushyPals came to look at their handy

work and told Puma how nice her room looked with the new

wallpaper up.

Thankfully, Bunny was not hurt or upset about getting covered in

paste, but she did ask Puma and Elephant if they could decorate her

room next!

Duck

You will not be surprised to hear that Duck loves to do one thing

above all othersthats right, swim!

Whenever there is water about you can be sure duck will be there

splashing around and swimming, but she always makes sure it is safe

to swim before she dives in.

PlushPals at the Seaside

Every year the PlushyPals pack up their swimming costumes, buckets

and spades and go on holiday to the seaside.

All the PlushyPals know how to swim and love to splash in the waves.

Duck is the best swimmer of all the PlushyPals and as you can see inthe picture she is good at surfboarding as well!

And when they are not playing in the sea the PlushyPals like to build

big sandcastles on the beach.

When the PlushyPals met Duck

One day all the PlushyPals decided to go for a long walk in the field

and meadows around PlushyHill.

As they walked along a winding path, they stopped to chase

butterflies. Then down the path came a bewildered and lost looking

PlushyPal.

All the PlushyPals looked at one and other and Cow said

Its Duck!

Hello Duck said Im looking for PlushyPal House but I got lost, can

you tell me where it is?

Of Course said Cow Im Cow and we all live there, come with us

Thank you very much said Duck happily.

The other PlushyPals all cheered and said

Welcome, well have fun together. We must have a party as a

welcoming and to celebrate this wonderful day!

They all went back to PlushyPal House and had a Garden Party.

It was great fun, they had lots of cake, sandwiches and nice cod

drinks. Best of all they had masses of wobbly jelly to eat, they even

shared their cake crumbs with the birds.

Monkey

Monkey drives the mini-bus which takes all the PlushyPals on their

trips and holidays.

Pulling faces is what Monkey is best at, when a PlushyPal is sad

Monkey will always be there to cheer them up.

When they go on adventures Monkey can always find the way, he

climbs up a tree and finds where they should head. He will suddenly

appear swinging upside down in a tree pulling one of his marvellous

silly faces.

Monkeys Story Time

Monkey likes nothing better than reading stories on a boring

afternoon.

One day he found a book about Plushypals of the olden days it was

called Baron Bear Cubs Castle, he decided to read it to the other

Plushypals...

He opened the book and began to read...

BARON BEAR CUBS CASTLE

In the days of old the Plushpals lived in a big castle on a big hill. The

castle was called Plushy Castle and the hill was, of course, Plushy Hill.

- Monkey took a deep breath and carried on

There once was a brave Baron; Baron Bear Cub who liked to wear a

lot of shiny metal armour. It looked very nice on him but it was very

hot and heavy to wear, especially when the sun was out.

Baron Bear Cub was married to the pretty Countess Kitty who kept

all the armour shiny, and sometimes had to help Baron Bear Cub getdressed in it, because it was so heavy!

Also in Plushy Castle was a plushypal called Maid Mouse. She would

sit in one of the big round towers in the castle and weave away on an

old machine called a loom. Maid Mouse could make beautiful clothes

with her loom.

One of the other PlushyPals also liked to wear a lot of armour that

was Baroness Bunny. She and the Baron used to have games with

bows and arrows. Each would shoot an arrow at a big round target to

see whose arrow was closest to the centre.

Sometimes Prince Puppy would join in the games or ride around the

kingdom on his big white horse.

The thing they all liked most was when Count Monkey and Countess

Cow held a banquet. They would all dress up in their finest clothes

and have lots of food and drink and sing songs.

- At this point Bear Cub ran in from outside and called out

Quickly, someone new has arrived!

So Monkey put down the book, and all the PlushyPals rushed out to

see who was coming...

The new arrival was Pony...

Ponys Meadow

Pony became a welcome addition to the PlushyPals home very

quickly. She settled in well and found that most of all she loved

spending time in the abandoned meadow. She cleared up themeadow so it became a lovely new place for the PlushyPals to play.

Pony enjoys playing games with the other PlushyPals where she

would pull them around in a cart. She also enjoys collecting things,

like colourful leaves and shiny objects.

Cow would make afternoon tea for everyone while they were out in

the meadow. She makes a cake, some yummy jelly and nice colddrinks, as it gets so very hot in Ponys lovely little meadow.

Pony like to eat flowers, which can upset Bunny and Mouse because

she eats all the best flowers. But Pony cant help it as she has a sweet

tooth, and being so nice Bunny and Mouse find it hard to stay angry

with her for long.

At the end of the meadow is a huge rock. The PlushyPals like to play

with their shadows and have a game of tig around the rock. The

shadows help keep them cool.

An afternoon playing in the meadow is such fun, the PlushyPals take

a break to have a lollipop and Mouse gathers a posy of flowers for

Pony.

The other Plushypals watch as Pony and Cow have a steeplechase

race. Then they all get out the kites that kitty had made for them and

fly them in all the great open space.

As they head for home they stop to buy balloons off Mr Balloon Man.

Monkey lets his balloon go and says Balloons are so much happier

when they are free which makes all the other PlushyPals laugh.

As the evening starts to arrive they stop for a play in the waterfall

before the final part of the walk home for dinner. Naughty Puppy

makes a rainfall when he shakes himself off to get dry when they are

finished in the waterfall. Kitty has to take cover under a picnic basket

as she doesnt like getting wet!

Finally they all hop into Ponys cart and head home tired and hungry

after such fun in Ponys meadow.

Where Pony used to live

Before she came to PlushyPal House Pony used to live in an Orchard.

This Orchard was owned by a PlushyPal called Bull Dog, who is Plushy

Islands Police Constable!

There were many trees full of delicious cherries and tasty apples.

Pony had six trees all to herself. She used to collect the apples from

her trees, but often dropped them. Luckily a little squirrel would help

her and pick them up.

Pretty butterflies liked the orchard and would fly over head while

Pony was collecting apples. Once Pony had collected enough apples

she would make jam, apple tarts, pies, crumble and lots of other

tasty apple goodies. She would then go into town and sell some of

her goodies to other PlushyPals.

Pony had many friends in the orchard including the greedy butterfly

that sucked lots of pollen from the flowers, and the worker bee that

was always busy. There were little singing birds who would sing Pony

songs while she collected apples. And of course the friendly squirrel

that helped collect the apples. There were even some little worms

that liked to live in some of the older apples.

Pony was very upset when PC Bulldog told her he was selling the

orchard and she would need to find somewhere else to live.

Thankfully Plushy House always has room for more PlushyPals to

come and stay, so Pony knew she would have somewhere nice to go.

She made her last batch of apple jam, packed up her things and said

goodbye to the orchard creatures before heading off the join the

other PlushyPals at Plushy House, where she lived happily from then

on.

Tiger Arrives

New PlushyPals come from far and wide to live at Plushy House

because it is such a great, friendly place to be.

One day the PlushyPals were on one of their daytrips can you guess

where from the picture?

Thats right, the seaside!

The PlushyPals were walking alongside the pier when the saw a little

dinghy floating by the shore, they rushed to it and looked in. On the

bottom was a small, bewildered PlushyPal. She looked very scared.The PlushyPals asked her name and she told them it was Tiger. They

helped her out of the dinghy and wrapped her in a towel.

Kitty looked after Tiger while the other PlushyPals played in the

water and on the beach. Bear Cub was surfing on a high wave,

Elephant and Cow, pretend to row the dinghy on the beach and

Puppy ran around slashing in the seawater. Monkey collected

seashells so they could make some shell ornaments when they got

home.

Kitty gave Tiger a nice hot cup of tea and a sandwich as she explained

how she came to the Island. She had run away from very far, where

poachers were capturing lots of PlushyPals. They had caught her

mom but she managed to get away in their dinghy while they were

busy putting her mom in a cage. She was very scared but her mom

had spoken of Plushy Island and she just hoped the dinghy would

take her there.

On her long journey she had caught fish and drank tea from the

poachers flask which had been left in the dinghy, then she had fallenasleep and the next thing she knew the Plushypals were helping her

out of the dinghy and wrapping her in a towel.

Kitty and all the other PlushyPals told Tiger they were happy she had

made it to Plushy Island and she was welcome to stay with them in

Plushy House. Then they all climbed into the minibus and went home

to make shell ornaments and hep Tiger settle in to her new home.

Tigers Race

One day Tiger looked out of the window of Plushy house and seeing

the long grass looking so fresh and pure she had an idea. Lets have

a race she said to herself.

Hare was playing on the swing outside when Tiger ran up and said

Will you make some hurdles for our race?

Hare said Of course and set to work straight away.

Tiger rushed around telling everyone about her idea and they all

helped get things ready.

Pony made rosettes for the winners.

Mouse came to help and decorated the hurdles with Bunnys

flowers. Puppy found a trophy for first prize.

Puma added some bows and ribbons to everything, while Tiger

gathered all the other PlushyPals ready to race.

When the hurdles were all lined up ready the PlushyPals took their

places on the start line Bear Cub had drawn with chalk.

Bang Elephant stamped her foot and the race began.

All the PlushyPals ran and jumped very well and must certainly

receive a prize each!

The rosettes are ready for the prize giving but who has won first

place?

As they crossed the finish line Hare noted who came in which place.

Elephant stood up on a chair and called out the winners names.

In third place Bunny a huge cheer from all the PlushyPals

In second place Tiger Even more cheering

But in first place Cow! Please come and collect your prizes All the

PlushyPals cheered and clapped as the winners went up.

Elephant gave each a rosette and said congratulations and Cow

received the Trophy.

A smaller rosette was given to everyone else who had taken part in

the race and Tiger thanked everyone for joining in.

When they had tidied up and gone back in Cow had made a huge

cake for them all to share to celebrate her winning.
