Hi, my name is Tom Hibbert and today I will be pitching an idea for a new rock music magazine called ‘Klashed’.

Klashed will be a rock music magazine and will demonstrate its genre through its colour scheme and artists that can be found in the magazine itself.

Before I began to bring Klashed together I needed to decide between my two proposals what idea was strongest, and which would create the more successful music magazine.

The genre of my magazine will be rock.

The artists I plan on covering are two artists that can be associated with the genre as they are both in rock bands that have dominated the genre for a long time; I feel that these will demonstrate my magazine’s rock theme clearly.

The colour scheme of Klashed will be Yellow and Black because they both represent contrasting feelings which I have interpreted as rock music.

Klashed will have competitors such as Kerrang and Rock Sound when it is first published and in order to meet the competition the masthead font style is similar to its competitors as is the content and price.

Content is an important thing in Klashed because it sets the first impression for a new audience. I plan to include things such as tour dates, an interview on a DPS and updated new on the genre itself.

The interview will include personal questions and a brief article to let the reader really get to know the artist.

The reader will know all about gigs that have recently happened and upcoming gigs aswell.

[Third Circle]

The third most important piece of content that will determine the success of Klashed is tour dates so that the readers and fans can not only hear about the artists but actually be a part of the music experience.

The name Klashed was inspired by Kerrang magazine and suggests instrumental noise which is related to the rock music genre. Clash connotes loud and metallic noise that most rock music contains and I have used a K instead of the general spelling with a C to show a Kerrang influence.

In order to make Klashed as successful as it can be, it needs to be budgeted carefully and with this distribution cost, the profit will not be difficult to achieve.

If all copies of Klashed are sold as predicted then the profit made in the first year after all the following costs are deducted.

Then then the profit will stand at £7,613.

When we market Klashed I think the three social media sites below will help us reach a wide range of people in terms of target audience.

Facebook will be the main social network site that Klashed media can be found on as it has the most social popularity.

This is the double page spread that will be found in the first issue of Kerrang. As you can see, the DPS contains features that will make Klashed unique and the centre of attention when it is first released and will win over the readership I am aiming for.
