ARLINGTON MUNICIPAL AIRPORTThe Arlington Municipal Airport, Arlington, Texas, consists of two stories of lease and airport operations space totaling 12,000 square feet. The project was designed to meet LEED Silver.

PEGASUS SENIOR LIVING APARTMENTSThe Pegasus Senior Living Apartments near downtown Dallas is a 17-story building that was renovated to house 156 luxury apartments, a theater, pool, banquet room, club room, exercise room and offices.

TARRANT COUNTY JAILThe Tarrant County Jail is a 207,700 square foot, maximum security facility in Fort Worth houses 432 beds on five floors and was designed to LEED Silver criteria.

TARRANT COUNTY CIVIL COURTSThe Tarrant County Civil Courts in Fort Worth, Texas was designed to meet LEED Silver criteria. The 240,000 square foot facility houses 13 courtrooms, offices for staff and judges, jury selection rooms and underground parking.

MOUNT PLEASANT LIBRARYThe City of Mount Pleasant’s 17,800 square foot library also houses office space, multi-purpose meeting rooms and museum space.

MUNICIPAL

WATAUGA FIRE STATIONThe City of Watauga built a new 13,000 square foot firestation with a three truck bay that has radiant floor heating is powered by roof mounted solar panels. The facility also has an oxygen tank refill station, decontamination areaand a commercial kitchen.

TARRANT COUNTY FAMILY LAW CENTERThe Tarrant County Family Law Center, located in Fort Worth, Texas, consists of 19 courtrooms, judges’ offices, and offices for District Clerk and Domestic Relations totaling 259,000square feet.

MECHANICAL ENGINEERINGOur mechanical engineers are creative and analytical thinkers. FIRE PROTECTION ENGINEERINGFire protection and life safety systems are an integral part of overall building design and function. Summit Consultants provides creative fire pro-tection solutions for complicated and challeng-ing design projects. Summit Consultants, has licensed fire protection engineers on staff who provide code consulting, building audits and surveys,fire protection system design and fire protection system commissioning.

ENERGY MODELING & AUDITING SERVICESAs buildings and building systems become ever more complicated and interdependent the need for whole building energy modeling and energy auditing becomes more a requirement than an option. Summit Consultants believes that energy modeling should start with the building programming phase in order help the team understand the energy repercussion of the building ordination and space layouts and continue as the building envelope, mechanical and lighting systems are selected and is not finish until the building is commissioned. Once the building commissioning is complete the building energy auditing process begins. On average the cost of designing and constructing a building is only 5 to 10 percent of the cost of owning the building. A major building operating expense for building owners is the energy it takes to light, heat, and cool the building and process loads. Over time systems break down, get out of calibration, or are modified without understanding the impact to the overall system. In these days of shrinking profits and fluctuating energy prices the building energy audit becomes an important process in keeping building operating expenses to a minimum.
