SAFETY: At Mecca Contracting Safety is our #1 priority. We comply with NYC Department of Buildings safety requirements to ensure the safety of all individuals on site. We require our team of workers and subcontractors to be fully equipped with safety materials, attend safety courses and receive certification training for scaffolding and OSHA. As a reinforcement to our safety approach, toolbox meetings are conducted bi-weekly by a our certified staff.

Location: This project is located on the north

side of Astoria Blvd. between 8th Street and 12th Street.

Project Description: Construction of new 3 story building.

Work consists of full demolition of one story warehouse, excavation, shoring, sheeting, filing of plumbing, mechanical, sprinkler and standpipe work. Installation of fire alarm non coded I. FA system in conjunction with new building, and installation of elevator. This building will be utilized as a miscellaneous hospital, health care facility which provides residential and outpatient services for Veterans, with living accommodations for house doctors.

ü  Filing of Demo permits with DOB. ü  Providing sidewalk shed.

ü  Preparation & execution of construction contracts.

ü  Reviewed construction drawings and specifications, prepared by Werfel & Associates, Architects, P.C.

Location: This project is located in the Mott

Haven area of the Bronx. Project Description: Gut rehabilitation of 48 units in 4

buildings which will be converted into a total of 66 dwelling units after two phases of construction.  The work consist of the removal of wood Joist and replaced with steel beams, Demolition, Asbestos Abatement and Air Monitoring, Restoration of façade, replacement of windows, roofing system, new electrical services, new gas line, and water main to the building.

ü  Attained all permits prior to construction.

Location: This building is located on 37 East 4th

Street New York, NY 10003 between Lafayette & Bowery.

Project Description: This is a restoration of a landmark

building.  The existing two family building will be converted to nine (9)units for residential purposes.  Work consists of structural work in conjunction to renovation of existing façade, repair existing deteriorated stone and brick, gut rehabilitation of interior, rough & finish carpentry, installation of doors, frames, hardware, kitchen cabinets, bathroom accessories, and spray on fireproofing . Re-pointing of  brick façade and interior shoring work.

ü  Providing sidewalk shed. ü  Provided and submitted sample

materials to GC for approval by Landmark Preservation Committee (LPC).

ü  Delivered and Installed approved Brownstone columns and Capital.

ü  Installed precast concrete stairs and wall.

ü  Delivered and installed LPC approved front and the rear wood cornice.

ü  Coordinate all landmark inspections and approvals with GC for exterior work before installation.

Project Description: The rehabilitation of 83 units ( 77

Residential and 6 commercial ) in 15 buildings which was completed in two phases. Work consist of major rehabilitation, removal of existing partitions, installation of new partitions, new plumbing and heating system, new kitchen and bathrooms.

Project Description: This is partial renovation of  five

existing masonry buildings.  Work consist of restoration of brownstone, façade joist replacement, new interior, exterior water proofing, plumbing fixtures replacement, new boilers and hot water system.
