Auto Mode

In order to provide better comfort in varying climates, this function allows the setting to change automatically between Heating and Cooling depending on the room temperature and set temperature required.

Auto Random Restart

Should a power failure occur during operation, the unit will automatically restart at the last setting. The compressor will restart randomly if more than one unit is installed and sharing the same phase power. Option is available to cancel this feature.

Self Diagnosis

This function is able to detect any faults or malfunctioning – LED lights display warning.

Hot Keep Cycle Selection

During heat mode hot keep cycle, the fan will run at low speed while thermostat cycle is off. Option to either to stop the fan totally or a combination of both at specific intervals.

Washable Air Intake Grille

The air intake grille is detachable and can be maintained easily by washing with clean water.

1. Air Filter

The Anti fungus Air Filter removes comparatively large particles such as dust from the air.

2&3: Dual Action Ioniser & Deodoriser Filter

This dual action filter is able to remove microscopic air particles as small as 0.01 micron, and deodorises the air.

Sleep Mode Auto Control

Sleep mode gradually varies the temperature to provide a comfortable sleeping environment. This is an energy saving mode.

AIR COOLED MINI CHILLER SERIESCHILLED WATER FAN COIL UNITS

McQuay offers you a range of air cooled chillers, suitable for many applications from residential to commercial. The McQuay chiller incorporates all the necessary components such as circulating water pump, expansion tank, compact brazed plate heat exchanger, differential pressure switch and the microprocessor controller and wired control panel.

In addition, this selection of the McQuay chillers are user friendly yet versatile.

Compact

The MAC/M4AC 20~30 C/CR is such a compact unit that it can be integrated perfectly with any architectural design, making it an ideal choice for house, offices, restaurants and shops.

Scroll Compressor

Scroll Compressors are used with the units to offer a quiet and reliable performance over a wide operating temperature range. (Except MAC/M4AC 20 C/CR which use rotary compressors).

In addition, a phase protector is provided to prevent the compressor from rotating in the wrong direction.

Fully Equipped Chillers

McQuay chillers are fully integrated and equipped with key hydronic components such as expansion tanks, water tanks, brazed plate heat exchangers and water circulating pumps. The all in one concept eases the job of the installer.

Brazed Plate Heat Exchanger

The heat exchanger is made of AISI 316 stainless steel plates closely arranged and brazed together to ensure high heat exchange efficiency.

Microprocessor Control

McQuay chillers are equipped with a microprocessor controller that control and regulate the operation of the unit. The controller contains the well developed algorithm, providing protection to the chiller by accurately sensing the key temperatures in both the water and refrigerant circuits. Should there be any abnormal reading, an alarm is sent to chiller panel, which stops the operation of compressor, condenser fan motor or circulating water pump.

Partial Loading

Models MAC/M4AC 80~150 C/CR has been designed with two separate refrigerant circuits, i.e. it has two compressors, giving the unit part loading capabilities, i.e. 0-50-100% of rated capacity. This improves the reliability and energy efficiency of the unit, especially during low loading operations.

Anti-Freeze Protection

The chiller unit has several anti-freeze protection features:

• Built-inheaterinBPHE-TheBPHEhasastripheater around it to prevent water freezing inside.

• Anti-Freezesensor-BPHEcanavoidthefrostingas the anti-freeze sensor will send the signal to cut out the compressor if the water temperature becomes too cold.

• Waterpressuredifferentialswitch-ensuringthereis water flow in pipings when the chiller is in operation. Otherwise, the compressor will cut out immediately.

Sequencing Control

For MAC/M4AC 80~150 C/CR, both compressors will cut in and out depending on their accumulative operating time. This sequencing control feature ensures no single compressor is overloaded in operation.

Modular Installation

The models MAC/M4AC 80~150 C/CR are available for modular connection. It is possible to network up to 50 chillers in a system. Control in a network is through the microprocessor controller. The external water piping connection can be made either from the left or right side of the unit.

To complement the innovative Smart Manager range of air cooled chillers, McQuay is offering an extensive range of chilled water fan coil units that will meet any indoor application requirements, covering residential, light commercial and commercial.

Whether they are for residential houses, offices, restaurants or shops, the Wall Mounted models, Ceiling Cassettes and Ceiling Convertibles are compact and ergonomic, and blend easily into any interior design.

In addition, the McQuay chilled water fan coil units are designed with ease of installation and servicing in mind. The fan coil units also include the microprocessor controller which has built in algorithm to control the operation of and provide protection to the fan coil unit.

NIM Networking Control System (optional)

For multiple fan coil unit installation in an office, a centralised controlled operation can be achieved through the McQuay proprietary NIM networking system. Network Interface Module (NIM) is a networking system which enables communication among McQuay air conditioners.

With the NIM, all your air conditioning systems can be controlled with just a single controller giving you boundless benefits:

NIM PC for Global Control Hub

With NIM PC, a personal computer will act as a centralised unit for both controlling and monitoring of all the air conditioning units in the HydroNIM network. Settings can be sent from the PC to the system for execution. For monitoring, there is a graphic user interface displaying the status of each unit.
