How to Start TweetingRetweet and Reply to Other People’s Tweets

Retweeting other people's Tweets helps you to find your own voice and show others what you care about

@reply with your reaction to a Tweet you find interesting Use hashtags (#) with keywords to tag your posts for others to

follow

Include others in your content Mention other users by their Twitter username (preceded by the

@ sign) in your Tweets @mentioning can help you decide what messages you want to

write, will reach more Twitter users, and can even start a new conversation.

When someone replies to a Tweet, their response shows on your Mentions tab

Tip: If you're a new user, others are more likely to find your messages if they are Retweets or @replies.

Tip: You don't have to write your own posts. The value lies in reading content from sources you follow on Twitter.
