Tilt Out Door Bin

The Tilt Out Refrigerator Door Bin (certain models)is ideal for storing awkward containers such as liter bot-

tles and bagged items. By tilting the bin outward, space /is opened up to conveniently load or retrieve contents. /

Freezer Compartment

The freezer of the model you have chosen has eitherwire or glass shelves. The shelves rest on support railswhich are molded into the wall of the freezer. Somemodels have freezer shelves that slide forward for easieraccess to the rear of the shelf.

To remove a freezer shelf:

J_ • Empty the shelf of its contents & lift straight up.

• Tilt the shelf sideways & pull it straight out.

To replace the freezer shelf, reverse the removal procedure.

The freezer compartment also has one or more freezerbaskets for food storage. These baskets slide out formore convenient access to the frozen foods. They restand slide on support rails which are molded into the wallof the freezer.

To remove a freezer basket:

• Slide basket out until it stops.

• Depress tabs located at the rear of each side of thebasket.

• Continue sliding the basket out.

To replace a freezer basket:

• Line the basket up to the appropriate support rails.

• Slide it into place.

StairStep TM Freezer Baskets

Certain models feature StairStep'" baskets for thebottom two freezer baskets. These two baskets interactfor easier accessibility.

To use:

• Pull the lower basket forward to gain access to itscontents. Continue pulling the lower basket toopen the upper basket as well. Reverse the actionto close both baskets.

• Pulling forward the upper basket provides access toits contents. The lower basket will also move for-ward but will not open.

To remove the baskets:

• Pull forward on the upper basket until it stops.

• Lift up slightly and continue pulling forward.

• The baskets are removed together.

To replace:

• Reverse the above procedure.

Drop Down Freezer Door Baskets

Two Drop Down freezer door baskets provide conve-nient storage for items that tend to shift or slide (such asbagged vegetables) when the door is opened and closed.

Special Storage AreasYour refrigerator has an Adjusti-Temp TM meat storage drawer. This drawer is designed to provide a short term storagearea for fresh meats, cheeses and luncheon meats. The location of this drawer within the fresh food compartment varies,depending on the model you have chosen.

In some models, the bottom drawer in the fresh food ;compartment is the Adjusti-Temp '_' temperature con-trolled drawer. The temperature control in these modelsis located on the left side wall of the refrigerator, nearthe front of the drawer. The "cool" setting maintains atemperature within the drawer consistent with the sur-rounding fresh food compartment. To achieve a lowertemperature within the drawer, slide the control towardsthe "cold" setting. A lower temperature within thedrawer is recommended when storing fresh meat,poultry or fish.

Use the main compartment of the Chillkeeper TM (certainmodels) to quick chill items and to store your favoritecold drinks.

To open the compartment, grasp the opening on theright side of the compartment cover and swing to theleft. The compartment will automatically latch whenthe compartment cover is gently closed. If the latchingmechanism is accidentally dislocated, place the eraserend of a pencil next to the latch and apply gentle pres-sure to the right.

There is a control for the ChillKeeper'" located on the leftwall of the fresh food compartment. The slide controlallows customization of the temperature within this com-partment. The "Cool" setting provides a more moderate i _]mtemperature. Sliding the control to "Cold" will provide L0,colder temperatures within the compartment.

The Chillkeeper TM shelf can be used to create a 2 tierstorage area within the compartment. If unneeded, theshelf can be detached, inverted and snapped onto theupper-most tabs, out of the way. This creates a larger

storage space within the compartment.

There is a utility drawer located at the bottom of theChillkeeper TM. The lock for this drawer is located onthe left side of the drawer. To open the drawer, move thepin to the "Unlock" position and the drawer will slideopen. To close, gently slide the drawer back in andmove the pin into the "Lock" position.
