Memorial Day
The Parish Office will be closed Mon., May 30 in observance of Memorial Day. There will be a
Daily Mass at 7:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mercy Chapel at St. Anne Church on Memorial Day.

Ordination Anniversaries
Please join us in celebrating the ordination anniversaries of our parish’s priests: Fr. Jake’s
3rd anniversary is June 1; Fr. McCarthy’s 38th anniversary is June 11; and Fr. Martin’s
19th anniversary is June 28.
Priestly Ordination and Clergy Assignments
Diocese of Savannah Bishop Gregory Hartmayer will ordain Deacon Brian
O'Shaughnessy to the priesthood on Sat., June 4 at 10 a.m. at the Cathedral of
St. John the Baptist in Savannah. Following his priestly ordination, O'Shaughnessy
will serve as Parochial Vicar of St. Anne Church, effective June 22.
Current St. Anne Church Parochial Vicar Fr. Jake Almeter has been appointed
Parochial Vicar of Immaculate Conception Church, Dublin, and St. William
Mission, Sandersville, GA, effective June 22; and St. Anne Church Parochial
Vicar Fr. Martin Eke will be returning to his community, the Missionary Society of St. Paul in
Houston, TX at the end of July.
There will be a farewell reception for Fr. Jake and Fr. Martin on Sat., June 11 following the
5:30 p.m. Vigil Mass. See page two of this bulletin for details.
Nursery Note
Starting July 1, 2016, there will no longer be nursery care offered for the 8 a.m. Sunday Mass.

From the rich Eucharistic themes to be drawn from today’s second reading, one stewardship
theme stands out: The Eucharist is Christ’s gift to us. Good stewards are grateful for this gift
and realize that no matter their station in life, they are welcome to come to the table and
receive the body and blood of Christ. Do we truly appreciate what a tremendous gift it is to

The Ladies’ Auxiliary of Columbus’ Yard Sale is Sat., June 25

scholarship for a St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School student. If

when we share what we have, even if it doesn’t seem
like that much, miracles can happen! Do not think

all the gifts we offer and makes them wondrous.
Ministry Spotlight Contemporary Couples’ Club Social
