NEW PROGRAM

Personal Safety for Seniors Regrettably seniors are one of the most vulnerable groups in society. This program puts emphasis and priority on awareness and avoidance. We teach how to address all aspects of violence, from the ideal outcome of avoiding it completely, to verbal de-escalation strategies, and to the last resort of having to defend yourself physically.

Just a few of the many topics/questions we address include…

- how you can avoid being chosen as a victim

- what to do if attacked in an elevator

- public transportation safety

- why telling your attacker to “Back Off” or “Do Not Come Any Closer,” might be the worst thing you can say

- how to develop the mindset to defend yourself and those you love

- how to handle someone who approaches you in an underground parking lot, or any parking lot Dates: Wednesday, June 5 & 12, 9:30 a.m. — 11:30 a.m. at the Centre. Fee: $11 Code: 15698

This program, at this fee, will only be offered once. Course is limited to 25 participants. Please register at Reception starting May 1.
