The Thomaston Fourth of July Committee would like to invite you to participate in the 2019 Independence Day parade. On the attached pages you will find the application and line-up map. As with the 2018 parade, floats are being asked to check-in on Dwight St. (accessed from Main St.). A parade volunteer will direct you to the appropriate staging area.

Float prize winners to be announced on the bandstand after the parade. $100 Prizes can be claimed from Committee Booth (behind business block).

We do remind everyone that since the staging area is in and around the town cemetery. Please respect the graves by staying on the lanes and roads as directed.

There is a $250 fee for vehicles in the parade without decorations. Exceptions Include: non-profitorganizations, convertibles, antique vehicles, or hotrods which have intrinsic entertainment value.

It will be at the discretion of the Parade Committee whether or not the entry qualifies as an advertisement. Any payments for participation in the parade will be due and payable prior to the parade.

PLEASE, NO THROWING OF CANDY Due to safety concerns, throwing candy or other items from vehicles in the parade to spectators is prohibited. If you wish to give items to spectators on the parade route, you may do so by having participants walk beside your float or vehicle to hand out the items.
