SECONDARY AND TERTIARY HEALTH CARE TO DATE OVER 4430 PATIENTS HAVE BEEN SUPPORTED This month 6 Paediatric cardiac surgeries were conducted by Dr. Dagar and team, with our support, for children referred by Genesis Foundation and Afghan Red Crescent Society for surgical correction of congenital heart anomalies at Max Hospital, East Block, Saket. Max India Foundation organized a Cancer Awareness and Support event in Chandigarh on 14th July. The event was aimed at creating the much needed awareness on cure of cancer. Ms. Namrata Singh Gujral, Hollywood actor and film maker (twice afflicted and cured of cancer) was invited as the Guest Speaker. Her inspirational talk about the importance of a positive attitude, hope and faith was highly appreciated. IMMUNIZATION CAMPORGANIZED IN ASSOCIATION WITH

KALINGA INSTITUTE OF SOCIAL SCIENCES IN BHUBANESHWAR

ON 25TH JULY

• MIF facilitated treatment for 7 patients suffering from different ailments including kidney stone, renal failure, gall bladder stone, jejunoaltrestia apple peel type, coronary artery bypass and respiratory distress at Max Hospitals (Pitampura, Patparganj, Mohali and Dehradun).

• MIF facilitated free consultations for children of NGO Udayancare at Max Hospital Greater Noida and Gurgaon.

• A young girl referred by NGO Shine Foundation was provided consultation and counselling support at Max Hospital, Saket and 2 children referred by NGO Tara Homes consulted an eye specialist.

• MIF in association with The Hans Foundation facilitated 4 cochlear implant surgeries at Max Hospital, East Block, Saket.

HEALTH AWARENESS• A film on Cancer Awareness was screened for 140 women during the cancer awareness cum detection camps

organized on 20th, 24th and 31st July in association with NGO Nav Abhiyan, Samarpan and Chetanalaya. • During the health camps at Dhakrani, 27 children were educated on maintaining healthy environment, 45 children

were educated on importance of hand washing, 223 women were educated in first aid procedures and 72 were given information on menopause. 110 children were educated on hand washing and hygiene during the immunization camp on 8th July.

• A two day training program on Better Home Management was organized by MSF in association with Youth Welfare Club and Central Board for Worker’s Education on 28th and 29th July for 20 couples from village Behram Pur. The program focused on leading a stress free life, meditation and importance of exercise.

• A session on health and hygiene issues was conducted by Dr Chandan for 52 children of Don Montessori School, for 84 children and 18 staff members of Swami Pranavandana Vidyamandir School in Ukhimath during the health camp.

• An awareness talk on nutrition and a puppet show on health and hygiene were organized in association with NGO Sshrishti in Vasant Kunj on 15th July for 100 children and 50 women and 200 people in Tahirpur on 22nd July.

• MIF-Oral Health and Hygiene film was screened for 500 people of NGO SETU, Khushii and Sshrishti Learning Centre. 100 children from Gurukul were educated on hand washing.

• 15 patients underwent cataract surgery at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Mohali. These patients were identified during the medical camp organized by MSFL in village Rail Majra

PREVENTIVE HEALTHCAREMIF through its Pan - India Immunization program has reached out to 49785 children (some have received multiple shots) through 809 camps.33 immunization camps were successfully conducted through our NGO partners-Chetanalaya, Centre for Equity Studies, Noida Lok Manch, Shine Foundation, Rasta, GMR Foundation, Godawari, Khushii, Vivekanand School, Purkal Youth Development Society, Rittana Childrens Foundation, Sshrishti, Ritinjali, Salaam Baalak Trust, Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences, Rotary Vidya Kendra School and Bella Healthcare. These camps were conducted in Delhi and NCR, Dehradun, Bhubaneshwar and Pune. 718 children were given vitamin A and 1518 de-worming tablets. Van Mahotsav was celebrated by Eco Club of MSFL by planting 100 saplings in the premises of Govt High School and Govt Elementary School, Rail Majra on 6th July and Guru Ram Rai Public School on 28th July. A drawing cum painting competition on the theme of environment conservation was also organized for 70 students

HEALTH CAMPSIn July 23 camps were organized through our NGO partners. We have reached out to 106555 people through 496 health checkup camps to date.

A medical checkup for senior citizens was organised on 22nd July at Max Health Centre, Rail Majra. Free consultation was provided by Dr Bachittar Singh (Orthopedic) and medicines were given to 80 senior citizens

Monthly health checkup conducted by Dr. Kiran Reddy for 50 children of NGO Jamghat at the daycare centre in Old Delhi on 31st July.

Biweekly health checkup camps in association with Bella Healthcare conducted on 6th and 7th July for 168 people, 11th July for 78 people, 21st and 22nd July for 177 people and 28th, 29th and 30th July for 276 people in upper and lower Dhakrani village, Dehradun. Free consultations and medicines were provided.

Max Healthcare - Bhatinda in association with AWWA (Army Women Welfare Association) organized a Women Wellness camp for 121 army wives on 30th June and 1st July.

General health checkup conducted for 52 children at Don Montessori School, Ukhimath on 7th July 2015. FBS and BP monitoring was done for 3 staff of the school and 4 parents/guardians. Another medical camp was conducted on 11th July at Swami Pranavandana Vidyamandir School, Ukhimath 18 staff members of the faculty with some parents/ guardians were seen. BP and FBS were recorded. 84 students attended the camp.

3 Cancer awareness cum detection camps were organized in association with NGO Nav Abhiyan, Samarpan and Chetanalaya in Delhi (Jangpura, Kishangarh and Sangam Vihar) on 20th, 24th and 31st July benefitting 140 women. Free medicines were provided to the needy.

4 General health checkup camps were organized through our partner NGOs SETU, Chetanalaya and Feedback Foundation in Delhi (Harijan Basti, Holambi Kalan and Bhalasva) and Noida. 410 people were given free consultation and medicines.

Comprehensive General/Eye checkup camp was organized in Jahangirpuri (New Delhi) in association with NGO Chetanalaya benefitting 180 people.

70 women of Yamuna Pusta Colony (New Delhi) were provided free medicines and consultation by the gynaecologist during the camp organized in association with Steria Foundation on 17th July.
