The history of O3 Company originates in 2009, when the first group company was established – O3-ENGINEERING that performs supply of anticorrosive materials and provides technical service.

Over the years of its activities, the company hassignificantly expanded its activities and becameone of the leaders of the Russian market of protective coatings for metal structures. A new round of development of the company was production of its own line of TRIOCOR anticorrosive products, TRIOFLAME fire protection, TRIOTHERM thermal insulation.

Oil and gas deposit named after V. Filanovsky of LUKOIL Company is one of the largest oil discoveries of Russia over the past 10 years. The reserves of the new deposit are estimated at 600 million barrels of oil and 1.2 trillion cubic feet of gas.

O3 Company performed a set of works on fire protection residential module platform for the deposit named after V. Filanovsky: design, supply of fire protection materials for hydrocarbon fire, the application of fire protection materials on metal structures on the territory of the metal structures plant, design and technical supervision.

O3 INNOVATION, being a Skolkovo resident, is a research center with a cutting-edge laboratory. The company specializes in the development of innovative competitive products in the field of construction chemicals and plastics and in the research that accompanies this development process.

O3 INNOVATION is also the O3 Company’s center of competences in the field of protective coatings research and expert evaluation. Specialized tools and equipment enable it to conduct quality tests of coating materials in order to obtain reliable data about their performance.

West Siberian complex of the raw hydrocarbon materials deep conversion into polyolefins in Tobolsk (SIBUR’s ZapSibNeftekhim) includes pyrolysis units to produce ethylene, propylene and butane-butylene fraction (BBF), along with units producing various grades of polyethylene and polypropylene.

O3 Company supplied anticorrosive coatings TRIOCOR ZINC 1700, TRIOCOR MASTIC 4500, TRIOCOR FINISH 5500 for the protection of steel structures of the polypropylene plant from corrosion.

O3-ENGINEERING provides comprehensive technical service for the design and execution of works for corrosion and fire protection, thermal insulation in compliance with the O3 Company’s quality standards.

O3-ENGINEERING has established itself as a reliable partner of major petrochemical and infrastructure projects throughout Russia. Among its most significant projects are Yamal LNG’s gas turbine power station, RusVinyl’s PVC production complex, Caspian Energy’s IRP-1 platform, Skolkovo, Russian National Defense Control Center building, Sakhalin TPP-2 and others.

Within the project, the O3 specialists developed the manufacturinginstructions, the anticorrosive materials were supplied, and inspection check-up of works on materials application was performed.

The gas-turbine thermal power plant will supply with heat and electricity all the technological lines of the Yamal LNG plant, the airport, the seaport and other facilities of the complex.

O3 Company carried out a full range of works on fire protection and corrosion protection of electrical power unit facilities: development of a fire protection design, supply of fire protection and corrosion protection materials, as well as application of protective compounds directly on the construction site.

TRIOCOR CORROSION PROTECTION

The range of modern TRIOCOR anticorrosive materials is developed and manufactured in Russia. TRIOCOR anticorrosive coatings provide effective protection of metal structures from weathering effects and aggressive environments for more than 15 years.

TRIOCOR protective coatings are highly competitive with foreign analogues regarding their properties and characteristics and fully comply with the requirements of the import-substitution state policy.

All products were subject to rigorous inspection and are certified by Russian industry research institutions: TsNIIS (Central Scientific Research Institute of Construction), VNIIZhT (Railway Research Institute), TsNIIPSK named after Melnikov (Central Research and Design Institute of Metal Building Structures named after N.P. PROTECTION PRINCIPLE

THE PROBLEMSteel rods of fresh reinforced concrete are protected due to the initially high pH (>12). The pH decreases with time because of the influence of the environment.Сa(OH)2 + CO2 = CaCO3+ H2O – carbonation.When the pH decreases below 9, water and oxygen begin to break down the steel. Expanding steel’s corrosion products lead to fracture of concrete, destruction of the reinforcement and disruption of the integrity of the structure.

RusVinil is a joint Russian-Belgian enterprise for the production of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) in Kstovo district of Nizhny Novgorod region. The design capacity is 300 thousand tons of PVC, 30 thousand tons of emulsion PVC and 225 thousand tons of caustic soda.

O3 Company prepared a fire protection project, supplied fire protection materials for hydrocarbon fire, the works on application of fire protection materials on pipelines and metal structures of the plant, as well as designer and technical supervision were performed.

Tuapse Refinery (ROSNEFT) is the only Russian refinery located on the Black Sea coast, and it is also one of the oldest: it was put into operation in 1929. The plant specializes in processing crude oil into gasoline and fuel oil and more than 90% of production is exported.

O3 Company supplied passive fire protection materials to protect steel structures of the Tuapse Refinery’s gas turbine unit building.

TRIOFLAME product range is an innovative passive fire protection product range for the Russian market. These fire protection coatings are highly competitive with foreign analogues regarding its characteristics.

TRIOFLAME AK range is a thin film intumescent styrene-acrylic based coatings range to provide fire protection of steel structures from cellulosic fire. Solvent based and water based intumescent coatings provide fire resistance for up to 120 minutes on structural steel.  

Hydrocarbon fires are fuelled by oil, refined products and gas.
