Font name: Side walk
A conventional rock magazine has big bold letters but they also have an effect such as a crack on them. (For example Kerrang! Magazine )I think this font is a possible font that I could use for my mast head as it fits with the conventions of the rock genre and is also interesting to look at.This font would create a good brand identity as it would be recognizable to the consumer.

Font name: Rocks death. This font style could work well for a rock magazine as I think the fatter and curvy
shapes of the letters looks good and is also interesting to look at. The font style is easy to read and can be seen from a distance.
The style of this font fits in with the conventional style of the rock genre.
Font name: Capture it

This font could also fit with the genre of rock music as it too has large bold letters and a stencil effect. However I don’t think that this font style would give a professional look to the Rock magazine as it is very plain and quite boring to look at and therefore would not appeal to the rock audience.

This font is similar to the others however I don’t like this one as much because it is to scratchy and would not look professional as a magazine masthead.
Conclusion • In conclusion I think that this font (font: Rocks Death) is the best
font to use as my masthead for my magazine. Because it follows the conventions of a rock magazine font style but also is unique compared to others therefore it will give the magazine a good brand identity as people will be able to recognise It. I also think that it will look aesthetically pleasing on the page . My mast head will be at the top of the page leaving space for a header bar at the top, my main image may also cover parts of the mast head as this gives connotations of being a well known magazine using brand identity.
• The colour scheme I will use on my magazine will be red ,black, white and yellow. Which is a typical conventional colours for the rock genre.
