MASTER OF SUSTAINABLE REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT CLASS OF 2014 NATE ARDENTE Nate is originally from Providence, Rhode Island, and is a 2013 graduate of Denison University located in Granville, Ohio. At Denison, Nate was a member of the na- tionally ranked lacrosse team, the club squash team, and Phi Delta Theta. Nate has experience with sustainable design and development through his internships with a sustainable architect and a non-profit sustainable growth advocacy orga- nization. Upon completion of the MSRED Program, Nate plans to pursue a career in the real estate development field. MICHAEL RYAN BOSIO Originally from Gonzales, California, Mi- chael has lived all over the country. He began college in Florida at Florida Atlantic University, later transferring to Tulane Uni- versity where he finished with his Master’s of Architecture. He currently works for Wisznia | Architecture and Development in New Orleans. Michael has held several jobs within the company from assistant leasing agent to facilities manager. His interest in sustainable development has been amplified by his work at Wisz- nia. Being interested in both design and business, he would like to become a design conscious developer. Other than design and development, he also has a strong passion for music. ERIC T. CHOWN Eric is the founder and president of Com- munity Rehab Investors, LLC, a real estate investment company based out of New Orleans. Since the company’s inception in 2009, he has been directly involved in the acquisition and sale of over 25 blighted properties in the New Orleans Metro Re- gion. His most recent efforts have been focused on the revitalization of Metairie’s historic Fat City area. Here he has been overseeing the development of a 13,000 sf health and wellness center, which is scheduled to open in mid-December of 2013. Eric holds a B.S. in Ho- tel, Restaurant Management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. ASCANIO SERENA DI LAPIGIO Ascanio was born and raised in Manhat- tan with an Italian influence, as his parents grew up in Italy. He attended Hobart Col- lege, graduating with a degree in Architec- ture. After graduation, Ascanio moved to Charleston, South Carolina and worked for a residential architect surveying buildings and drafting for renovation and new con- struction projects. He has always had an interest in real estate and is truly combining his interests to pursue a career in Real Estate Development. He spent three years pursuing the M.Arch from the NewS- chool of Architecture + Design while working at the Office of James Burnett in Solana Beach, California before transferring back to New Orleans to complete the MSRED at Tulane. JOHN HUPPI Originally from Reston, Virginia, John grad- uated from Tulane University in 2011 with a B.S. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. After taking a year off to row competitively in Washington D.C., John returned to New Orleans to begin renovating houses with a local design & build company. Upon com- pletion of the MSRED program, John plans to join a real estate development firm in New Orleans.

DAMION HUNTERNative New Orleanian Damion Hunter ob-tained a B.A. in Fine Arts at Dillard Uni-versity. He has a diverse background in Visual Arts, Arts Education, and Business Management. For nearly a decade he has been expressing his talents by identifying his artistic focus of the relationships be-tween the spirit and contagious rhythms of

New Orleans communities. His interest in becoming a visual artist combined with a dedicated sense of expressing the diverse culture of art, history, and architecture, inspired him to explore other positions within the realm of real estate and community development. Damion was awarded the John T. Scott and Stella Jones talent-based art scholarships, provided by the United Negro College Foundation for 2010 and 2011 school years. Also, he won 1st Place prize for the city of New Orleans 5th Annual Exhibit of The National Arts Program in 2010.

REBECCA MARGOLIS Rebecca recently graduated Tulane Univer-sity in 2012 with a Political Economy Major and a Philosophy minor. While at school, Rebecca was the Editor and Media Coor-dinator for PlayJones.com, a local music website. After graduation Rebecca worked at Sheaux Fresh Sustainable Food, an ur-ban farm that works to provide fresh nu-

tritious produce to undeserved communities in New Orleans. With Sheaux Fresh, Rebecca also helped others in the community learn how to grow fresh food for themselves. In addition, Rebecca worked in partnership with Our School at Blair Grocery to further address food and health related issues in the New Orleans community.

HUNTER MONSOUR, LEED APAfter graduating from the University of Southern California, Hunter attained cer-tification in hotel real estate investments from the Cornell University School of Ho-tel Administration and certification from the Green Building Council as a LEED Ac-credited Professional. His has served as a business development associate at Getty’s

Hospitality Design and Development, which allowed him the opportunity learn the effects that design and development have on the investments of a hotel asset. While working with designers and principals, Hunter assisted in coordinating company services with the needs of developers, brands, and vendors alike. From there he moved to HOTELCO, a private hotel develop-ment company based in Los Angeles, where he served as Director of Devel-opment, and oversaw the renovation of a 73-room boutique hotel in Waikiki Beach. On-site for the entire six month renovation process, he was instru-mental from design to development to operation.

ABIGAIL RICHÉAbigail completed her MBA at the A. B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University with a concentration in finance.  Abigail has past experience in business de-velopment, specializing in market research, market analysis, idea generation, and busi-ness planning. In addition, she has been working in property management and has developed a few rental properties. 

LOGAN RUTLEDGEAfter graduating from the University of Mississippi, Logan embarked on several po-litical challenges affecting the development and well-being of his hometowm, New Al-bany, Mississippi. During these endeavors, he was also in office machinery and soft-ware sales. His passion for real estate began

during his sophomore year of college when he began the renovation of sever-al downtown buildings in New Albany’s Historic District. These buildings now have commercial and residential space. In 2012 Logan worked for a property Management Group in Nashville, Tenn. Logan thouroghly enjoys every aspect of real estate and looks forward to the Master of Sustainable Real Estate De-veolement Program at Tulane for continuing his education and networking with an array of colleagues.

ANDREW SITOMERAndrew graduated from the University of Maryland in 2007 and settled in New York City where he has spent the past six years working as an investment sales director and commercial property manager. He is eager to broaden his already expansive scope of commercial real estate experience and

professional network through the MSRED Program. Andrew enjoys spending his free time outdoors; either competing in athletics or exploring locally and abroad.

SAM SULLIVANSam was born and raised in Washington D.C. He graduated from Tulane’s A.B. Free-man School of Business in 2013 with a major in Finance and a minor in English. He was an award winning president of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and an active member on campus. Upon graduation, Sam plans to pursue a career in the real estate development field.

CHRISTEN TANNEROriginally from Baton Rouge, Christen Tanner attended the University of Missis-sippi where she received a B.S. in Hospital-ity Management in 2010. After graduation, Christen relocated to New Orleans and began her real estate career with Coldwell Banker TEC Realtors. She specializes in residential real estate in the Uptown, Ware-

house District/CBD area and has a passion for historical properties. She is a member of National Association of Realtors, New Orleans Metropolitan As-sociation of Realtors, and the Louisiana Association of Realtors.

ALEX WHATLEYAlex was born and raised in Mobile, Ala-bama, where he attended the University of South Alabama. His studies focused on Biology and Studio Art. Alex worked for three years at the Mobile Bay Convention and Visitor’s Bureau and has worked else-where in the hospitality field. Alex also has family in New Orleans and has became fa-miliar with local projects and happenings.

HEIDI WOODARDAfter graduating from Xavier University with a major in Biology, Heidi worked in two labs before teaching high school Chemistry. Heidi worked as a Funding and Develop-ment Director, a Special Events Coordinator and a B2B sales person, all before entering the real estate field as a Mortgage Broker (just before the industry collapse). Until very recently, she was employed as an Orth-odontic ClinicalAssistant.

SHANNON ZEIMETZShannon received her Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University.  In 2012 she completed her Teach For America commit-ment in the Greater New Orleans region and continued teaching science for an addition-al year at KIPP Central City Academy. While teaching, Shannon created a sustainable housing curriculum in which students de-signed and built model sustainable houses.
