The Master of Arts in Public Policy and International Affairs is designed to prepare graduates for professional careers and advanced degrees:

n Public Policy Analystn Public Policy Expert/Consultant n Local/State/National Government n Inter-governmental Organizations n Non-governmental Organizationsn Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy and International Affairsn Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science

and International Relations

Graduates of the Master of Arts in Public Policy and International Affairs will:

n Demonstrate significant knowledge and expertise in the public policy process

n Possess sound knowledge of theories, concepts, and models of public policy making

n Gain a fundamental understanding of cultural diversity and the cultural contexts of policy issues, relationships and trends in contemporary society

n Commit to an understanding of the importance of maintaining the public trust when engaging in identification of critical policy issues

n Be adept in constructing approaches to assessment and evaluation of policy processes and outcomes

n Have a working knowledge of research methods, statistical analysis, needs assessment and policy evaluation.
