30TH ANNUAL NATIONAL
NIGHT OF PRAYER FOR LIFE Beginning — 9PM, Dec. 8th (Sunday)
to 1AM Dec. 9th (Monday) in our Church
Uniting the Feast of the Immaculate Conception with the
Feast of St. Juan Diego
It was on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception in
1531, (then celebrated on Dec. 9th), that Our Lady of Guada-
lupe, Patroness of the Americas and the Unborn, fist appeared
to St. Juan Diego. The National Night of Prayer for Life
bridges these feasts. All nations of the world are invited to
participate, as we ask Our Blessed Mother to protect Life and
the Family; to Renew the Church and establish Peace.
During the HOUR OF UNITY, 12 Midnight to 1AM,
we will be united in churches across the country and the world
in prayer to end abortion, and restore God’s blessings.
Attacks against Life, the Family and the Church con-
tinue to threaten peace everywhere! The requests made by the
Blessed Mother at Fatima must still be satisfied. Prayer, Rep-
aration, Repentance and Conversion will satisfy Our Lady’s
requests to renew our nation and the world. THE
NATIONAL NIGHT OF PRAYER FOR LIFE provides a
means to achieve Our Lady’s desire.
The National Night of Prayer for Life includes adora-
tion of the Blessed Sacrament, the holy Rosary, prayer to St.
Michael, silent prayer and hymns. For more information
about this beautiful night please call: Mary Calabro at 593-
2623. All are welcome—please join us in prayer.

OLP SCHOOL MISSION STATEMENT
“Rooted in the tradition of the Sisters of Mercy, we at
Our Lady of Peach School are called to educate the
whole child in the spirit of service and compassion.
We strive as a community, coupled with God’s love,
to inspire each child to grow spiritually and academi-
cally in a diverse and challenging world.”
FIRST SUNDAY OF ADVENT
Mt 24:37-44 Today we begin the beautiful season of Advent. It is
a season meant for preparation. For what exactly are we pre-
paring? Two things: the celebration of our Savior’s birth and
the anticipation of His second coming.
These are weighty tasks with eternal consequences.
So, let us stewards make the words of the Prophet Isaiah our
motto for the season: “Come, let us climb the Lord’s moun-
tain to the house of the God of Jacob, that he may instruct us
in his ways and we may walk in his paths.”
In the weeks leading up to Christmas, it seems every-
where we turn we are pushed to do more to create a “perfect”
Christmas day. But the Church’s guidance to use these weeks
to focus on our spiritual lives can indeed seem like a mountain
-climb.
The intentional use of the gift of time is what the
Christian steward is called to do, and with even greater intensi-
ty during Advent. How can we use our time to prepare for
Jesus’ birth on Dec. 25th and for His second coming at a date
we do not know?
We can push back against the world’s pressure to
have the “perfect Christmas.” Scale back on materialism so
we have more time for spiritual preparations: Confession,
weekday Mass, adoration, family prayer time, lighting the
Advent wreath, acts of kindness.
In the end, we will be prepared to celebrate a truly
meaningful Christmas, become more like our Savior and be
ready for Him to come again. Catholic Stewardship Consultants

In gratitude for God’s gifts of time and talent to use, we grate-
fully salute our Parish Social Ministry ESL Teachers.
Stewardship Thought for the Week
“For you do not know on which day your Lord will come,”
says today’s Gospel. Good stewards know that they are ac-
countable to God for all they have and are, therefore they
strive to live in readiness for His coming. This Advent we
wait patiently for Christ and prepare ourselves for His coming.
