FAITH FORMATION & YOUTH MINISTRY

Families with children in grades K-11 are welcome to participate in and deepen their faith by attending Faith Formation and Youth Ministry sessions! There are orange registration forms located on the tables in the church. Registration forms can also be found on the parish website.

Faith Formation Sessions start on September 24 from 9:45-10:45

Youth Day Sessions start on October 1 from 12:15-2:00

DIOCESAN SISTER PARISH MEETING ~ St. Vincent's will be hosting a meeting of the Diocesan Pueblo to People Group - parishes that have a Sister Parish connection - on Sunday, September 17th at 3:30PM in the Parish Hall. BEREAVEMENT GROUP ~ The Bereavement Group will gather on Wednesday, September 27 at 7:00PM in the chapel. DIOCESAN MARRIAGE JUBILEE:

The 45th Annual Marriage Jubilee Celebration sponsored by the Office of Lay Ministry Formation will be held on Sunday, October 1st, 2017 at 2:00 PM at The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception (corner of Eagle St. & Madison Ave) Albany, New York.

Couples celebrating their 25th, 40th, 50th or other special wedding anniversaries are invited to attend this celebration. Bishop Edward B.

Scharfenberger will celebrate the Liturgy at 2:00 PM and greet couples and their guests at a reception in the gathering area at the Cathedral

This year, St Vincent’s on a Mission will invite our Parish Community to open wide our hands and hearts to our neighbors and continue to work together to address the suffering, oppression, violence , deprivation of freedoms and lack of appreciation for the dignity of all people that is so prevalent our day.

YOGA CLASSES RESUME ~ Judi England, Kripalu Yoga instructor, will resume yoga classes on Monday September 18th from 6-7PM in the church (enter the church from the parking lot, through the side door). Bring your own yoga gear - mat, pillow, strap, etc. Class schedule: Sept. 18 & 25; Oct. 2, 16, 23, & 30; Nov. 6, 13 (last class). A donation of $5 or more is asked if you are able, which directly benefits our Sister Parish in Panama. For more information contact Judi at [email protected]. SENIOR OUTING ~ Mark your calendar for a fall foliage trip on Wednesday, September 20, to the Glen Falls Hyde Museum with lunch at the Rock Hill Bakery. SEPTEMBER 10, 2017 ~ twenty-third Sunday in ordinary time

CHILDREN’S LITURGY OF THE WORD (CLW) ~ Will resume next Sunday at the 8:30 & 11:00 A.M. Masses. Children will be called to the alter and blessed before the first reading and led to the Chapel or the Parish Hall to hear the gospel reading at an age appropriate level. Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult or responsible older sibling. At the 11:00 Mass, children will be divided into two groups: the Small Children Group, those 1st grade or younger; and the School Age Group, those in 2nd grade and older. Please be sure your child knows which group they will be in before they are called to gather at the altar. Email Meg McCarthy, Liturgical Ministries Coordinator, at [email protected] with questions.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES COLLECTION ~ Please limit donations to: spiral notebooks, composition notebooks, washable glue sticks, 24 pack of crayons, pens and pencils, 2-pocket folders, and packages of loose leaf paper; or for monetary donations, make checks payable to St. Vincent’s Food Pantry and place Food Pantry School Supplies envelope in the collection basket. Donations accepted thru Sept. 15.

MEDICAL EQUPMENT DONATION ~ A walker is being donated by a parishioner and is available for anyone who might need one.
