The Santarossa family has been in the concrete industry for over 70 years. In 1945, Joachim Santarossa and his sons, Joseph and Marino, all concrete tradesmen who worked on various projects in Windsor and Essex County decided it was time to forge their own mark in the business world. The trio started their own concrete Redi-Mix business with one small truck and a few wheelbarrows. Today, J. Santarossa & Sons LTD has evolved into one of the most elite Redi-mix concrete producers in Windsor and Essex County with 15 trucks and a state-of-the-art pre-mixed batch plant.

By 1984, Joseph Santarossa along with his children Joseph Jr., Tony and Robin recognized the need for concrete masonry and landscape products in the Windsor market. The Santarossa family horizontally integrated their operation from that of a Redi-Mix concrete producer and supplier to also a manufacturer and distributor of masonry and landscape products. This established Santsar Industries Inc., a speciality stone and masonry product company. Over the next two decades, Santsar grew into one of the largest manufacturers in Southwestern Ontario of concrete blocks, brick, interlocking paving stones, and retaining walls.

In 2008, as Santsar Industries Inc. neared its 25th anniversary, with Joseph Jr. as President, it was time to rebrand the company. The renaming process considered the company’s roots as well as innovative vision for continued growth and development through consumer marketing establishing its modern day highly reputable name of Santerra Stonecraft.

Today, Santerra Stonecraft has two state-of-the-art production facilities where the company produces a wide array of residential and commercial masonry and landscape products. The Company also has a state-of-the-art natural stone fabricating plant. Santerra is also a distributor of many fine product lines that offer clay brick, building stone (natural and manmade), thin-veneer stone, as well as accessories for all masonry and landscape projects. Santerra has an extensive dealer network throughout Ontario, Michigan, Ohio and Indiana and it strives to grow its network every year.

Santerra Stonecraft is committed to upgrading equipment and tools to remain at the cutting edge of manufacturing technology. This allows the company to increase quality and develop new innovative products. Santerra manufactures all of its products to exceed CSA and ASTM standards and is supported by our quality assurance and lifetime guarantee.

Santerra Stonecraft proudly remains and continues as a family owned and operated company. The management team consists of third and fourth generation family members who continue to uphold their foundational principles set forth by its first and second generation founders that of which are based on honesty, integrity, and the highest quality products to all of its customers.

WARRANTYAll Santerra Stonecraft products are subject to the highest standards of quality review. All Santerra Stonecraft products meet or exceed the current standards set forth by the CSA (Canadian Standards Association) and ASTM (American Society for Testing Materials).

Santerra Stonecraft offers a lifetime warranty on the structural integrity of their concrete masonry and landscape products as long as all conditions stated below are complied with. This warranty applies to normal non abusive applications.

The warranty does not cover any damages dues to natural causes, acts of God or other damage to the concrete products caused from deliberate acts or negligence by the customer, owner of the building, contractor, subcontractor, or any third party. The warranty does not cover any damages or deterioration due to the use of salts, de-icing products, cleaning products containing acid, or chemical solutions. The warranty does not cover any physical or abusive damage from the use of power equipment for maintenance. The warranty does not cover any damages or deterioration due to the use of high-pressure washer or sandblasters.

The warranty does not apply to spalling or breakage caused by impacts, abrasion or over stressing. To reduce the chances of spalling or breakage the installation of control joints is strongly encouraged. Control joints are vertical separations built in the veneer and located where stress concentrations are likely to cause cracks. The joints allow unrestrained longitudinal movement, thereby relieving horizontal tensile stress that may develop due to shrinkage. A control joint should be located, but not limited to, 1 ½ times the height of the masonry panel or wall, to a maximum control joint spacing of 20ft (6.1m).

Issues due to efflorescence and colour variance are not structural deficiencies and therefore will not be covered under this warranty.

To process a warranty claim you must present valid proof of purchase (receipt, invoice, or delivery slip). Once the product is deemed defective by Santerra Stonecraft, Santerra Stonecraft will supply new product in replacement of the defective product. All installation and labour expenses will be the customer’s responsibility.

PLEASE NOTE: The colour swatches and product photographs in this catalogue are as accurate as the cameras and printing technology are capable of. All Santerra Stonecraft products are manufactured with natural raw materials, including sand, stone and cement that may change over time. Colour and texture variations are possible. We strongly recommend that your final product selections are based on a current product sample rather than existing projects or photographs. Santerra Stonecraft uses the same name colour across different products to assist in the customer selection process, however, this does not guarantee definite colour matching.
