Meet the ProOne in a series of introductions to the golf professionals at The Golf Center at Kings Island

    Jack Kraemer, Assistant Golf Professional

Jack Kraemer, a Cincinnati native, began learning the game at the age of six at Kenwood Country Club. He played his fi rst tournament when he was 11 and has been playing competitive golf ever since. He turned pro at the end of the 1984 and spent fi ve years playing the professional mini-tours.

Jack began his career as a club professional working for the Cincinnati Recreation Commission Golf Courses. He joined the staff at The Golf Center at Kings Island in 1994. In 1996, he became an offi cial Class A member of the PGA of America.

During my many years of experience in the game of golf, I have developed a great understanding of the swing mechanics, said Jack. He has seen many golfers who have a good understanding of how to swing but they dont have a good grip and good posture. Without these two important fundamentals, it will be very diffi cult to have a good, consistent golf swing, he says.

Jack enjoys passing his swing knowledge on to amateurs and junior golfers alike. If youd like to work with Jack to develop a good swing or improve other aspects of your game, give him a call at the pro shop at 513.398.7700. A 40-minute lesson is $55.

Support Education Across the Globe 5K Run/WalkMason Community CenterBring your friends and family to participate in a 5K run/walk benefiting education efforts in Mason and Kenya. While primary education is free in Kenya, secondary education can average up to $1,375 per year. With the average annual household income in Kenya estimated to be near $730, many children do not have the opportunity to attend high school. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Andrew B. Foundation to provide scholarships for Kenyan students to attend high school.

The Andrew B. Foundation was formed by Mason resident Maggie Githuku (Andrews sister) in 2012 in memory of Andrew B. Masinde, who passed away following a tragic road accident in Kenya. The foundation was formed with the primary objective of providing educational scholarships to talented and financially needy Kenyan students for high school and college education in Kenya. In addition, these students would be provided mentorship and internship opportunities to ensure that they are successful in their education and that they become productive members of their communities.

Race participants can also support local education here in Mason. All participants are encouraged to bring school supplies to the event. Those supplies will be bundled and delivered to Mason families needing assistance.

The course runs through Masons beautiful Pine Hill Lakes Park and Corwin M. Nixon Park. Awards will be given based on age groups and for overall top runners and walkers. Participants registered by September 14 will be guaranteed a unique African-designed T-shirt.

Please Use The Parking Lot!We need your help!

The circle drive directly in front of Mason Community Center is intended for passenger pickup and drop-off only. Please do not leave your vehicle unattended. If you must enter the building to meet your party or expect to wait more than a minute, please park in the parking lot. We request that parents accompanying children into the building to drop them off for camps, lessons, and other activities park in the parking lot.

The circle lane farthest from the entrance should remain open at all times to allow cars to enter and leave the drop-off area. A loading zone at the far end of the circle is for delivery trucks.

Signs have been posted on the circle drive to remind drivers of the restrictions. By using the circle drive for quick drop-offs and pickups only, visitors to the community center, pharmacy, postal unit, store, caf, and physician offices will be able to access the center safely and efficiently. Nichols. Because we understand the needs of business owners, we are tuned in to the requirements of these young growth companies and have built our Tech Center around supportive services most crucial to ge ing young companies to market quickly.

rough an innovative partnership with Top Gun Sales Performance, these growth companies can access energizing o ce space at below-market rates and tap into a network of peer companies and resources which can propel them further, faster. e opening of the tech center is a benchmark development in Masons strategic growth as it develops digital/IT and biohealth industry clusters along the I-71 tech corridor.

Companies that have signed lease agreements include ConnXus,

KPG, HipaaX, Cloud Take O , and Riverbend Worldwide. e Mason Tech Center is a unique alternative to a traditional

startup incubator, says Sue Oswalt, Vice President of Operations and Member Services at ConnXus. By bringing together public and private resources, the City of Mason is building a location and community that is a great t for a company like ours. We were excited to be the rst startup company in the Mason Tech Center.
