• Republic National Distributing Company announced they will build a 200,000-plus-square-foot facility in Ashland.
• The company mainly distributes wine and sells approximately 36 million bottles a year.

Hyosung Cord
• GFA Inc., the vendor awarded the contract for Hyosung Cord, has leased space in Port Norfolk Commodity Warehouse.
• Hyosung will be importing approximately 150-200 containers of steel per month. This cargo was previously handled through the Port of Savannah.

Canon Virginia, Inc.
• Canon recently announced they will invest $27 million to expand their facility in Newport News.
• The expansion will add the manufacturing of toner for Canon copiers in 30,000 square feet.

PRUFREX Innovative Power Products
• PRUFREX Innovative Power Products will invest $7.33 million to establish its first U.S. manufacturing facility in the City of Virginia Beach.
• The company will supply ignition components for U.S. customers, including nearby BMZ Batteries and STIHL Inc.
• Virginia successfully competed against Georgia for the project, which will create 60 new jobs. PRUFREX USA Inc. will also be establishing its U.S. headquarters in Virginia Beach.
