Winter Park—All of us who went on thecouncil’s annual trip have had achance to thaw out since gettingback from Winter Park a few

weeks ago. The weather wascold and snowy, makingconditions wonderful forthe week.

Winter Park is no longerone of Colorado’s best keptsecrets. Skiers in the Denverarea are lucky to have such asuper mountain only acouple of hours (in goodweather) from home.

Congratulations go to TriValley Ski Club for winningthe Dave Seret Memorial

Race and to Pete Sindelar andJulie Morris, the fastest skiers onthe hill. Thanks to Bonnie West(our VP Travel and overall tripleader), our club trip leaders andTarget Sports for making thissuch an enjoyable trip.

I’d like to especially thank SigridNoack for leading an incredible

group of Unrecables clubmembers on this trip and toKathleen Craig for so ablyhandling the club races in hubbyRay’s absence.

Far West Convention—Looking ahead to future events,we’re all stoked about this year’sFar West Ski Associationconvention in Palm Springs. SanDiego Council is hosting thisconvention. Look for the flyer inthis issue.

We’re also looking into thefeasibility of providing a bus totake Angelinos to Palm Springson Friday, May 30th whose soleinterest is partying and bidding atthe silent auction. Keep tuned fordetails as they arise.

Los Angeles Council is lookinginto the possibility of hosting the’05 convention, the 75thanniversary of FWSA.

Whistler/Blackcomb—As many of you know, next year’scouncil trip will be at

Whistler/Blackcomb. This trippromises to be “sold out” veryquickly, so get your reservationsin early. Target Sports will onceagain be our tour operator.

Elections—Finally, elections will be held forcouncil board positions at ourApril 7th meeting. Positions thatwill be open include VPPrograms, VP Communicationsand Treasurer (all 2-yearpositions).

Also open is the position ofPresident, a 1-year commitment.I have served as your Presidentfor 3 years (1 year longer thanpermitted by the by-laws) andneed to have a successor.

I owe a huge debt of gratitude tomy fellow board members whoworked so hard to make this anexciting year. For moreinformation on council and clubactivities, log on to our web siteat www.lacouncil.org.

Membership Matters—By now you should have received your FarWest Membership cards. This is a first for FarWest in a long time so for 2003-2004 theyplan to deliver them to LA Council by July2003. With this in mind, Club’s should sendin their LA Council membership dues andform by May 2003. Since most clubs haveelections in the Spring, joining LAC should bea part of the new board transition ritual.

Please remember that the Far WestConvention is May 29 - June 1, 2003 inRancho Mirage, CA. This is a great venue for

new board members to get up to speed. Did you know that LA Councilis looking into putting together an overnight Party Bus for the SilentAuction?

Many people use the internet to find a ski clubs in their area, so toexpedite their search, clubs should send me a demographic’s bio so that Ican direct them to the club which fits what they are looking for. Yourclub bio should include the following— Club Name, GeographicLocation, Age range, Median Age, Youth Programs, Year Around, Skiersor Snowboarders, Race Teams, Softball Teams, Volleyball Teams, Beer orWine Teams, Club MED Hedonism, Singles or Families, ...

As we turn the corner of winter to spring, remember it is a good thing.See you on the Slopes.

Downhiller Daron Rahlves (SugarBowl, CA), who conqueredKitzbuehel’s fabled Hahnenkammdownhill for the first victory in thatrace by an American skier in 44years (Buddy Werner in 1959) andhad two other top-3s in World Cupraces, is the U.S. OlympicCommittee’s Male Athlete of theMonth for January.

USOC officials said Rahlves wascited for his historic victory inKitzbuehel, for finishing second inthe Lauberhorn in Wengen,

Switzerland, the previous weekendand for finishing third in a downhillin Bormio, Italy. Runnerup wastennis player Andre Agassi, who wonthe Australian Open.

Coincidentally, the USOCannouncement came as Rahlves wasbeing honored in Kitzbuehel for hisdramatic win by having his namepainted on one of the resort’sgondolas, an honor reserved onlyfor winners of the famous Hahnen-kamm, which is regarded by manyas the Super Bowl of ski racing.

All That’s Whistler/BlackcombWhistler Blackcomb is the best choice for our 2004 Ski Week. With over7,000 acres of terrain there are places here other mountains can only dreamof. Variety is an understatement. There are steeps, deeps, chutes, bowls, glades, superb corduroy, long cruisers, high alpine, and gentle rollers. Ridersand skiers will revel in the Parks and Pipes on Blackcomb, the World CupHalfpipe, plus natural launch pads, hits, wind-lips, cornices, cliff drops, andridges — the place is like a huge, natural terrain park!

Indoor ActivitiesIf it's relaxation you’re after, why not indulge in one of the many spas, tour the art galleries in Whistler Village, or head to Meadow Park SportsCenter for a skate, swim, steam, or game of squash.

DiningWhistler/Blackcomb has some of the best restaurants in the world, bothon and off the mountains.

Après & NightlifeFootsteps from the hill, mountain views and ample patio space arecharacteristics of Whistler/Blackcomb's favorite après spots. Typically, there's live music and plenty of peoplewhen the lifts close. Yet après spots in Whistler and Blackcomb are unique. Whether it's location, music, food, or atmosphere that's important, there's an après spot in Whistler to fit anyone's fancy.

What a great week in Winter Park! Thesnow was wonderful and we had freshpowder nearly every day. We actually heardthe following: "This was absolutely the bestski trip I’ve been on in over 20 years!" Whata grand confirmation that we chose the best!

The Unrecables—A highlight of the trip for many was skiingwith the Unrecables. Some of them liked togo through the trees and just don’t stop!Ron Guidotti said that skiing with DanielPalacios was one of the best ski days he’dever had.

We were glad there were eight from the clubthat joined us and they had a wonderfultime. Thanks to all the clubs who helpedsupport the Unrecables trip to Winter Park.

The Races—About one-half of the group participated inthe races and many, many won NASTARmedals. This list is printed on page 7.Congratulations to Tri Valley Ski Club, winners of Dave Seret Memorial Race.Conejo and Tri Valley brought the samenumber of people, but TVSC managed toget twice as many racers on the course, sonumbers do count! The fastest man, PeteSindelar, and fastest woman, Julie Morrisare from Tri Valley.

The Pub Crawl—The night of the pub crawl was really, reallycold, so many of us just went to a few placeswith our "flashing beads."

The Poker Run—One of the days we had a Poker Run. Theidea was to pick up a card at each of sevenlifts and make the best poker hand youcould. Each of the cards in your hand had tohave a different back, showing they werefrom the different lifts.

Even so, we had hands turned in with sevenAces and seven Kings, a Royal Flush, etc.Tell me there wasn’t a bit of "trading cards"

going on! The "best cheater" had to be MilGreen of Long Beach who decided to turnin a hand where all the backs were the same!

The Mountain—The mountain has a lot of gentler runs, butonce you learn the mountain, it is prettyeasy to get around without a lot of effort,(called poling). Since Intrawest just tookover the management of Winter Park, myprediction is that this will become a premierresort in a few years. We can say "We skiedit when."

Winter Park RecapWhat a Great Week We Had!

by Bonnie West, LAC Travel VP. Photos by Bonnie West & Patricia Ortiz

Skiing With The Unrecablesby Patricia Ortiz, Pacific Rim

When I decided to go on the Winter Parktrip, I had several options for which group togo with, since I was the only one from myclubs (Radar River Rats & Pacific RimAlliance) going. After speaking with severaltrip leaders, I decided to buy one of the tripsthat Sigrid Noack won at the Snow Gala (Ipaid full price).

I thought I might in some way assist some ofthe Unrecables in going. Both the RadarRiver Rats and Pacific Rim Alliance have, forthe past several years, made annual donationsto the Unrecables, so I thought I would keepup the tradition.

Anyway, my first realization that this wouldbe no ordinary trip was at the airport. Thespecial arrangements that needed to be madebefore and after takeoff made me realize howmany things I take for granted.

This was the beginning of counting myblessings all week long. It was hard enoughfor me to manage my luggage and gear. So Iwas quite impressed with the innovativenessof the Unrecables, especially DeeArmstrong, who has a system where she isable to fit all of her stuff on her wheelchair, especially her coffee mug.

The weather was cool but not thatcold as eight Unrecables membersflew into Denver on the first ofFebruary with 130 club members inLA Council. We boarded theaccessible charter bus and headed forthe Winter Park Mountain Lodge inanticipation of the week ahead.

We were welcomed warmly by areception that evening withappetizers and wine. On our first skiday, we took a mountain tour leadby a very knowledgeable volunteermountain guide.

We enjoyed lunch at the beautifulrestaurant atop of the mountain withan awesome view. That evening weparticipated in the pub crawl butonly went to two pubs due to thedistance and weather.

The skiing was really awesome! Weskied all over the mountain all week.We also raced a couple times andperformed very well. We would liketo thank all the wonderful peoplefrom the LA Council clubs whovolunteered to be ski buddies for ourmembers who needed a little extra

help. Special thanks to WaltraudCardona, Kathleen Craig, andPatricia Ortiz who helped us allweek! We couldn’t have done itwithout you! You are awesome!

Elaine Guidotti and the Tri ValleySki Club warmly invited us to theirClub Night and we enjoyed apotluck dinner and played Jinko. Youhave one steady hand, BarbaraMiyamoto!

On our final evening, we wined anddined and danced all night. KathyPaisley is our club’s Dancing Queen!Rumor has it she also won someserious cash at the pool table acouple nights prior.

We would like to thank SigridNoack, our Trip Chairperson, whoorganized this wonderful trip forus, took care of all the details, andoversaw our fundraisers. Your tripleadership is appreciated byeveryone in our group. Overall, itwas a terrific week of skiing andpartying. We are already lookingforward to the next Ski Week toWhistler! Please join us!

One of the best parts of skiing was beingable to join the Unrecables to see howthey courageously do what they do. Thehandicap accessible bus would pick us upeach morning and deliver us to the NSCD(National Sports Center for the Disabled).

The first day our paths crossed that ofTom Savage, a monoskier, who becamedisabled in a car accident. He is currentlytraining on the NSCD team, with hopesof going to the Olympics. He left all of usin the dust. I tried to keep up withDaniel Palacios and assist him whenneeded.

When it came time to break for lunch, there were limited options for the group,as there were notalways wheelchairsavailable to them.Again, somethingthat most of usnever give asecond thoughtto. The afternoonswere much of thesame, although Iusually stoppedskiing around 3:00, especially since thiswas my first ski trip of the season and Iwas not in good enough condition yet.

It was apparent the night of the bar crawlthat being able to get around the streetsof the town, especially with it snowing, would be a feat. So the Unrecables wereonly able to visit two places that wererelatively close to each other. I did notjoin them, or the rest of the group, thatevening, as I, and my roommate SherryCrisp (a Wailer), were more interested inhaving a nice dinner than bearing thecold and imbibing too much alcohol.

However, we did meet a local guy and hisgirlfriend who treated us to dinner anddrinks. We then all went to another barfor more drinks, which is where I met

Ryan Rector, a race coach for NSCD,who also happens to be the roommate ofTom Savage. Small world.

One of the highlights of the trip waswinning the Poker Run (and I didn’tcheat). My prize was a 2001-2002 WinterPark poster. My hand was a straight flush, king high. I enjoyed being invited to thetrip leader dinner, as Sigrid’s (and theUnrecables) guest. I especially lovedspending my day off with the Unrecables intown shopping and having lunch.

I raced for the first time and finished twoNASTAR runs on Thursday. And forsome unknown reason, probably a clericalerror, I got a bronze medal at the banquet

on Friday night. Sherry, who is anexcellent skier, also raced for theUnrecables and helped them win arespectable third place overall.

Throughout the trip I got calledmore "P" names then ever before, especially by my new friend RonGuidotti (or was it Rob or Russell orRufus?). So I became accustomed toanswering to Priscilla, Princess,

Pamela, etc., but my favorite was Petunia.

On Saturday I traveled back to LA withSherry and Dee. Both Dee and I got friskedgoing through security. Sherry escaped thefun. When we arrived in L.A., I saw thatDee got all her stuff together in her mostingenious way and we said our adieus.

I want to thank all the Unrecables forwelcoming me (no special order) —Sigrid Noack, Barbara Miyamoto, DeeArmstrong, Kathy Paisley, GordonCardona, Wally Cardona, DanielPalacios and Steve Lefkowitz.

For a final note, I encourage everyonewho is reading this article who has notspent any time with Unrecables to tryto do so. It will be a memorableexperience and oodles of fun!

All those predictions aboutMontana being too cold wereproven false. (It was Winter

Park that had the near-zerotemperatures!) BigMountain was warm! Sowarm, in fact, that weskied in the rain (and fog)and didn’t feel cold (untilwe came inside and driedout a bit and then thoughtabout going out again). That was Sunday.

Monday was beautifullysunny, but because thesnow was too wet to groomthe night before, it was“washboard city.” The Joe

Ross MemorialRace took place(the qualifierfor the rest ofthe week’sraces) on theNASTARcourse. LAChad somestrong racers:Jan Grant,JessicaFreeman,Laura Priess,Sherrie Marco,Brad andEllen Falk, andme. Lots ofsilver andbronze medals.

Tuesday,however, wasanother matterentirely. We

got up to overcast skies thoughwithout precipitation. A skierfrom Arizona took one look andleft for the airport. But what hedidn’t know, and we found out

to our great glee, was the cloudlayer was only in the valley andthe mountain was in sunshine!

However, as the day wore on,the clouds came in and itstarted to snow. Which it didoff and on for the next twodays! So Wednesday andThursday we skied in some verynice powder, closing the liftsand missing most of the aprèsski parties.

And parties there were! Sunday’sSuper Bowl/Welcome Party, with free food, beer, wine, andbetting, was a disappointmentonly to those from the Bay Area(yeah, Tampa Bay!)

Monday’s Pub Crawl startedwith a free 6oz. sample at theGreat Northern Brewery, movedon to huge and potentmargaritas at Serranos, next pizzaand wine at Truby’s, then bloodyMarys at the Great NorthernPub (to say nothing of therestroom decor). We could onlystagger back to the shuttles.

The Wednesday après ski partyat the Summit had live guitarfor C&W and R&R dancing, beer, pizza, and a chilly, 7-minute ride down on the lift ina raging snowstorm.

Thursday’s après was at the basewith yummy chicken wings, mini quiches and beer.Thursday was also the CouncilChallenge race, again on theNASTAR course. Our team, “ElBarifalk and his Harem” (7ladies and “Barry” Falk)managed to avoid last placeagain and the Anchor Awardwent to San Diego Council for

the second year in a row.

Jan had the fastest time for theladies on the red course.Arizona Council won thecostume award with two ladiesin beach attire. As I said at thetime, you can’t beat T&A.

Friday, unfortunately, theweather returned to rain. Agroup of us went to Essex tocross-country ski into GlacierNational Park, but insteaddrove around, ate lunch, andwent shopping.

The group that went to Fernie,Canada, had slightly betterconditions and found snow atthe top of the mountain. But allwere in fine shape for theAwards Banquet that night.Several medals were earned byJan, Laura, Jessica and Ellen.

There were 20 in the LACouncil contingent, representingseveral clubs — Singles (6),Century City (5), Conejo (2),and South Bay (2).Unfortunately, on her very firstrun Sunday, MargieClingerman broke her ankle andshe and her friend Howard wenthome on Tuesday.

Everyone was very happystaying at the Grouse MountainLodge since it was the site ofthe two main parties as well ashaving a most convenientshuttle service.

FWSA Ski Week 2004 will beat Lake Louise with everyonestaying at the luxuriousChateau. Dates are January 24-31, 2004. Prices to beannounced next month.

I hope you have the weekendof March 8 and 9 set aside fora trip to Mammoth! Theannual SICO event presentlyscheduled at Mammoth thatweekend has been rejuvenatedby the addition of the RokkaLeague as a full participant inthe Championship event.

Unfortunately, the CentralLeague is experiencing aperiod of activity perhaps bestdescribed as hibernation. Toreflect the change inparticipating leagues, the eventhas been renamed SISR, theacronym for Schusski, Inland,San Diego, and Rokka, to bepronounced “scissor.”

Renaming the event is not theonly change. With the additionof Rokka, the number ofparticipants will support a twoday event including a two runSlalom on Saturday and a singlerun GS on Sunday.

The first run on each courseon Saturday will be theChampionship Slalom runand count for individualChampionship medals andpoints for the LeagueChampionship along with theGS on Sunday. The best timeof the two runs on Saturday, will count as a Rokka 4,Inland 4, or Schusski 4.

Rokka 4 was previouslyscheduled for Sunday, March 9.

The GS run on Sunday willcount towards individual medalsand SISR Championships.

To be a qualified racer (pointseligible) for the SISRChampionship event, youmust have finished at least onerace since (and including) the2001 FWRA Championships(Northstar, April 2001).

However, first time racers(FTR’s) are encouraged toparticipate. Any FTR whofinishes the three runs, will bequalified to participate in thisyear’s FWRA Championshipsat Mount Bachelor as a pointseligible racer as well as nextyear’s SISR event.

All ages and classes, skiers andsnow boarders, are welcomeand encouraged to participate.

The participating SISRLeagues are still discussing theprocess for awarding the

League Championship Trophy. We are attempting to create anevent that is competitive at alllevels. There will be awardsceremonies each day shortlyfollowing completion of thelast course, with medals foreach class. The SISR Trophywill be awarded atabout 4pm onSunday afternoon.

The cost for theevent is $35 perracer. But checkwith your club orleague racingrepresentatives as someleagues/clubs may besubsidizing their racers.

If you have not raced atMammoth this year, you willneed to complete a release.Contact your league racingrepresentative (or email me [email protected]) and wewill get you registered.

Memorize the "YourResponsibility Code." It'sthe seven rules of the slopesand many accidents can beavoided by adhering to theCode.

Ski helmets are a good idea.Make sure the helmetfits correctly. A skihelmet is not an itemyou buy to grow into.Educate yourself aboutthe benefits andlimitations of thehelmet. Wearing ahelmet doesn't givepermission to ski orsnowboard faster orrecklessly.

Dress in layers.Layering allows you toaccommodate your body'sconstantly changingtemperature. For example, dress in polypropyleneunderware (top andbottoms) which feels goodnext to the skin, driesquickly, absorbs sweat andkeeps you warm. Youshould also wear aturtleneck, sweater andwaterproof jacket.

Be prepared. Mother naturehas a mind of her own.Wear a hat or headband, 80percent of heat-loss isthrough the head. Youshould also wear gloves or

mittens (mittens are usuallybetter for those who aresusceptible to cold hands).

Be sure to wear sunprotection, even on cloudydays. The sun reflects offthe snow and is strongerthan you think!

Wear sunglasses or goggles.Skiing is a lot more funwhen you can see. Alwayswear eye protection. Thesun can burn your eyeballs.

When buying outer skiwear, look for fabric that is waterand wind-resistant. Look forwind flaps to shield zippers, snug cuffs at wrists andankles, collars that can besnuggled up to the chin anddeep pockets. Be sure to buyquality clothing products.

Put beginners in ski schoolto get them on the right

track. Instructors know howto teach skiing and snow-boarding, it's their business. Then you'll enjoy skiingwith your friends and theywill be proud to show youtheir skiing abilities.

Be sure you have a trailmap.

Knows when to stop skiing. For example, if the clothinglayer next to the skin stayswet and you're chilled, ifyou're injured, have aproblem with equipment oreven if you're just simplyworn out. It's alright to stopbefore the end of the dayand breaks are fun.

Set a meeting place if youget separated from yourgroup. The walkie talkiesnow available areconvenient and a big hit onthe slopes.

Erik Schlopy Claim to fame: Ranked third overall in 2001 World Cupstandings for GS; two World Cup podium finishes for 2001;Silver at 2003World Championships for GS.

Fit thought: "Skiing's an athletic sport, so I choose exercisesthat involve athleticism. The power clean hits all the majormuscle groups, and it involves coordination and timing."

Targets: Total body, emphasis glutes, hamstrings, and shoulders.

How to: With the barbell on the floor, legs flexed, lift the bar in one motion to yourthighs, bringing the shoulders back and chest out. From there, lift with your shouldersin a shrugging motion, bringing the bar up to your collarbone (see photo). Elbowsshould end up under the bar, out front.

Reps & sets: Start with just the barbell, and work your way up in weight as you getstronger. Build to 3 sets of 12, then add weight and drop the reps.

Erik's tip: Before you go to the gym, pop a ski video into the VCR to get fired up."The Ski Team has highlight videos of winning runs playing in the gym. We liftbecause we have a goal in mind — we're lifting to win."

Pam Fletcher Claim to fame: 1988 Olympian; nine-year U.S. Ski Teamer;holder of six U.S. National titles.

Fit thought: "When you're skiing hard, the legs are flexed andangles are created. What keeps the whole thing together is yourbutt. It's the connection point."

Targets: Glutes, quadriceps, hamstrings; also works balance.

How to: Stand in front of a bench, facing away from it. Placeyour back foot on the bench, toes down, and hop forward. Holding dumbbells atyour sides, sink down and come up. Repeat. Make sure the front knee doesn't goforward of your ankle. "This is an awesome move for the butt (and balance, too),"says Pam. "Believe me, you will be fried."

Reps & sets: First practice with no weight. Shoot for 3 sets of 12 on each leg. Thenadd weight, building to 10-30 lbs. in each hand.

Pam's tip: Before lifting, do only a light warm-up, say five minutes of biking, plus alight stretch. Huff for 45 minutes on the treadmill, and you'll be too tired to lift yourwater bottle.

History Bits—The History of the Ski Lift

Excerpted from Mort Lund at http://www.skiinghistory.org/History.html

In the 1920s, the alpine nationsof Europe began building skilifts. The popularity of alpineskiing made lifts a way of vyingfor the winter tourist trade.

The Germans have the honor ofbeing first, having set up a draglift earliest in the first decade ofthe 1900s, joined by the Austriandrag lift at Dornbirn in 1908.The French kicked their lift-building off by finishing a cablecar for skiers and hikers atChamonix in 1927.

The Swiss constructed the firstcable car built expressly for theski trade, at Engelberg in 1928.In 1932, Gerhard Müller ofZurich patented an inexpensiverope tow run by a motorcyleengine, and began buildingthem. In 1933, Davos finishedthe giant of its time, theParsennbahn, a cog railway thatrose 3000 vertical feet to Parsen.

The Austrians followed with St.Anton’s Galzig cable car in 1938as the era of popular walk-upskiing drew to a close.

The first recorded lift in America

was a drag tow at Truckee,California, in 1910, but it didnot inspire imitators elsewhere. In 1933, Alec Foster built theNortheast’s first rope tow atShawbridge in the Laurentiansoutside Montreal, and lift skiingreally took off.

The tow idea was copied quicklythe next season, the winter of1934, by David Dodd, run offthe back wheel of a jacked-upcar, in Woodstock, Vermont.Rope tows were simple—anycompetent mechanic could putone up. By 1940, rope tows weredrawing thousands of Americansinto skiing every season.

The first overhead cable in theworld was the single-passenger J-bar built in 1934 at Davos,Switzerland, by ErnestConstamm. The first in Americawas the J-bar built the next year,1935, at Oak Hill in Hanover,New Hampshire. In 1936,Constamm converted his Davoslift to a two-passenger T-bar,then moved to Denver andinstalled dozens of T-bars aroundthe U.S. to make it the

workhorse lift of the generation.

Finally, what became the mostpotent uphilltransport of all wasinvented in the U.S.The chairlift, wasdesigned by UnionPacific engineer JimCurran for the 1936opening of SunValley. It took a whilefor the chair to catchon; however, by themid-1960s, chairswere being installed at a clip offifty to seventy a season.

The most recent major advanceis the fast, high-capacitychairlift, of which thedetachable quad chair is themost rewarding. There weredetachable prototypes as farback as 1952 at Snow Summit,California, in 1955 at Wengen,Switzerland, in 1969 at Utica,New York and in 1972 at Mt.Ste. Anne, Quebec, but the firstmodern detachable was theDopplemeyer quad installed inNovember 1981 atBreckenridge, Colorado.

The Legend of Snowshoe Thompson : Mailcarrier on Skisby Cory La Bianca

Price: $6.95

The Legend of Snowshoe Thompson is the true adventure about John A.Thompson. A native of Norway, this well-noted "father of skiing in the UnitedStates" delivered the mail for 20 years to gold miners cut-off from the rest of theworld during the California Gold Rush Era. He made his first 90-mile mail runover the Sierra Nevada on January 3, 1856 from Placerville, CA to Genoa, NV.They called him "Snowshoe," and the name stuck.

Thank You!Over the past several years, a number of our LA Clubs havemade very generous donations to enable an Unrecables clubmember to attend LAC Ski Week. This year, since LA was goingto Winter Park, home of one of the best adaptive programs, theUnrecables decided to use the donations to subsidize as manymembers as possible. This year eight Unrecables were able toattend Ski Week thanks to the following clubs and organizations.
