NEWS FROM HQ 2017 was a significant year for ICTS. We continued to experience a significant growth in our business and we welcomed on board many new employees, as well as saying goodbye to a number of long-serving staff.

The graph below compares 2017 with 2016 results:

As a response to the Staff Survey results we will be running a number of centrally coordinated focus groups at various locations in the UK and Ireland.

We invite you to take part; it is a valuable opportunity to suggest change and get involved in the shaping of ICTS.

Together we make ICTS the great company that it is. Thank you for your continued support.

2017 ANNUAL STAFF SURVEY RESULTS

Thank you for taking the time to complete our 2017 Staff Survey. The results are now out, and we would like to share them with you.

Our response rate:

The general overview was that the aver-age percentage ‘positive’ was 71%.

The following tables illustrate the highest and the low-est scoring 3 questions in the survey:

ICTS CLIMBS TO 10th POSITION IN THE LEAGUE OF TOP 30 UK COMPANIES IN THE REGULATED SECURITY SECTOR 2017

ICTS climbs to 10th position in the league of top 30 UK Companies in the Regulated Security Sector 2017 (by turnover) issued by Infologue.com

Ashley Bancroft, Managing Director, ICTS UK & Ireland said, “During the last 3 years we have successfully grown our revenues by 83% solely through organic growth. This pace of growth usually results in some shortcomings in service delivery. However, ICTS has gone from strength to strength over this period win-ning ACS Champion of the Year in 2016 and being crowned Security Guarding Company of the Year (> £50m) in 2017, which was a most fitting accolade to celebrate our 30th Birthday! These achievements are truly a testament to the amazing people that work at ICTS.”

AN UPDATE FROM JAMES HOGG, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR—OPERATIONS

2017 was a year of organisation change within the operations teams. This has resulted in some new faces joining the business (mine included) and some exciting promotions of internal tal-ent. With Andy Kynoch joining to become the Divisional Director for Regulated Transport, the senior

operations management team is now complete. We are now operating as 5 customer focussed divisions (CCTV Systems, Canine, Regulated Transport, Amazon and Corporate). See Organisational Chart below. This will help ensure that everybody can focus on deliver-ing excellent security services for our customers.

So much change is always unsettling for people and this was reflected in our engagement survey scores for 2017. As I’ve said from the start, after Safety & Securi-ty, our people are the top priority for our business. Great people doing a great job ensure we keep our customers happy to do business with us – this is key! This year we need to really ensure everybody is en-gaged in working ‘smarter and not harder’.

We have recently won some great new business with a Global Financial Institution in our Corporate Division as well as winning the security contract at Southampton Airport. Both of these are significant ‘wins’. If we are winning business then we are growing. When we grow, it gives us opportunity to really develop our tal-ented people and stretch ourselves.

Bring on 2018, it will be an exciting year!

Over 90 ICTS employees got together for our internal Annual Conference. Last year’s achievements and events were reviewed, and objectives for 2018 and the future were set and shared. Our primary goal is to be ‘the most innovative and technology-driven security solution provider in the world’. The Conference offers a valuable opportunity for our UK and Ireland Manage-ment to step aside from the operations and to get to know each other a little better outside the work envi-ronment.

WINTERSONG CHARITY CONCERT

ICTS was proud to be one of the sponsors of the Win-tersong Charity Concert in aid of City of London Police Charity for Children on 6 December 2017 at the Guild-hall. The Charity is run for the benefit of children and young persons for the relief of ill-health, crisis, disad-vantage or disability.

“A heart-warming and most enjoyable evening spent in the company of colleagues, including our '2016 Em-ployee of the Year' – Bruce Moy, from our Epsom and St. Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust operations” said Ashley Bancroft, Managing Director, ICTS UK & Ireland.

TRAINING AND QUALITY

TRAINERS CONFERENCE AT LONDON HEATHROW

At the end of November 2017 the Business Assurance Department held a Trainers Conference at Heathrow. The conference brought together Trainers from all over the UK and Ireland providing them with updates on the Industry and regulatory changes, and to further review the role of the Trainer at each site / station. The conference also provided a valuable opportunity for the Trainers to familiarise themselves better with the ICTS Apprenticeship scheme. It was also a good opportunity to catch up with everyone and to share information.

Thank you to the following employees who attended the conference: Alan Dutt, Jayne Thorpe-Negbi, Eli Negbi, Sarina Reuben, Alan Richardson, David Jenkins, John Quigg, Jamie Shade, Paul Reynolds, George Hay-ward, Pamela McKeon, Geoff Tarn, Colin Black, Jessica Reddan, Gagan Jay, Jatinder Chehal, Renata Mialik, Jatinder Chehal, Lee Penketh-King, Manuel Pombo, Itai Sher and Antonio Medina.

ISO AUDITS

Caroline Atterton, Health & Safety and Compliance As-sistant, Business Assurance Department writes: “During December 2017 ICTS UK and Ireland success-fully gained certification to the new ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Standard and ISO 9001:2015 Quality Standard.

The ISO auditor looked at how as a Company we mini-mise the risk of a potential emergency or accidental situation that could have an adverse impact on the en-vironment.

The sites audited were Louis Vuitton, Amazon DXW2, Canary Wharf to see our dogs and handlers at work and Head Office. The auditor was due to visit Edin-burgh Airport, but the typical British weather put paid to that idea when we woke up to lots of snow. London Gatwick Airport stepped in at the last minute and host-ed the audit team.

The Business Assurance Department would like to thank everyone who helped with the preparation for these audits.”

PROJECT GRIFFIN TRAINING

Project Griffin is the national counter terrorism awareness initiative for business produced by NaCTSO to protect our cities and communities from the threat of terrorism.

The aim of Project Griffin is to:

• help understand the threat from terrorism to the UK,

• guide individuals on what to do if they find themselves involved in a terrorist incident or event that leads up to a planned attack,

• enable people to recognise and report suspi-cious activity.

A number of training courses have been held at HQ for our Corporate, Amazon and Regulated Transport teams.

MANAGEMENT AWARD IN CORPORATE RISK AND CRISIS MANAGEMENT PROGRAMME

On 6 to 8 February 2018, members of the ICTS Senior Management team from across the UK and Ireland attended the Deltar Level 5 Management Award in Corporate Risk and Crisis Management at Stockley Park, near London Heathrow.

The following staff members will receive accreditation after successful submission of assignments: Alan Dutt, Ashley Fernandes, Peter McGowan, Andy Kynoch, Lottie Pepler, Jayne Thorpe-Negbi, Dane Jones, Virinder Singh, Neil Hodgson, Manny Pombo, Sue Dutt, Gary Benwell, Fiona McElroy, Brian O’Shaughnessy, James Hogg and Mark Homewood.

The final assignment includes recommendations on the subject of Corporate Risk and Crisis Management that will be put before the ICTS Board. They will con-sider and decide if any of them are to be adopted.

Ashley Bancroft, Managing Director, ICTS UK & Ireland commented, “While risk mitigation remains para-mount to our day to day processes and procedures, the ability to manage and recover from any crisis in a controlled manner is just as critical for all stakeholders of the business. At ICTS we remain diligent in our prep-arations for the “worst” outcome rather than hoping for the “best”; this programme complements this ethos.”

Deltar Level 5 Management Award in Corporate Risk and Crisis Management has been formally recognised by The Security Institute, and Deltar Training has been officially accredited as an Approved Training Partner.

ICTS GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION (GDPR) TRAINING

Bilal Hussain, ICTS Data Manager, explains about the new GDPR:

An Overview:

General Data Protection Regulation is an EU legislation that comes into force on 25 May 2018. It applies to anyone who collects, processes or stores ‘personally identifiable information’ which is information that can be used to identify any specific information. It is appli-cable to all EU persons regardless of where it is stored or processed – it is applicable to Australia through to USA.

The ICO (the regulators in the UK) will be looking at breaches and could potentially fine us heavily.

Why is it important to everyone at ICTS?

The fines for non-compliance are 4% of global turno-ver or 20 million Euros which is crippling to any organ-isation. It’s important to everyone who processes per-sonal information or makes decisions on it as we all become liable for it. Even though we are going through Brexit it will still apply to us as we process in-formation of EU citizens every day.

We are also now starting to see tenders and existing partners asking if we are compliant with GDPR. We have put a plan in place to ensure we are compliant and all documentation is up-to-date.

What can you do to help?

One of the most common things that causes breaches is paper documentation or email attachments. The good news is this can be easily fixed...with email attachments we should look at sharing the files using shared network drives but if this is not possible, add a password to the file and send email attachment and password on separate emails.

As for paper documentation, scan the document, store it on the secure network drive in a relevant folder making it easier to find at a later date if needed, and shred the paper version.

WELCOMING NEW STAFF

ANDY KYNOCH—DIVISIONAL DIRECTOR, REGULATED TRANSPORT

“I am so thrilled and honoured to have joined ICTS, a compa-ny which is extremely well re-spected throughout the indus-try.

I joined the company as re-cently as 5th February 2018 in the role of Divisional Director of Regulated Transport and

have been made thoroughly welcome by all.

I know ICTS extremely well having been a client with three major US airlines in the last 30 plus years.

In those roles at airport level and for the last 12 years as Director Customer Service at 23 airports across Eu-rope, I always regarded ICTS as my most proactive, consistent and trustworthy service supplier.

In earlier positions, I sat on airport and airline project boards designing the current Hold Baggage Screening systems and central searches we see at our airports today.

With all of that in mind and as I travel the Division meeting as many of you as possible, all I ask is for you to 'keep doing what you are doing' - a fantastic job keeping our clients' operations safe and secure whilst providing excellent customer service not only to our clients, but the customers of our clients, the travelling public.

We have an exciting future and will always have chal-lenging times, it's the nature of our business, but I know we have fantastic, willing staff exuding expertise that I am already very proud of.

Keep well, stay safe and take care of each other and I will look forward to seeing you soon.”

EMPLOYEE LONG SERVICE AWARDS

Thank you to the following members of staff for their commitment and loyalty to the organization: 20 YEARS’ SERVICE

Simon Parmar (London Heathrow Airport) “I have been employed with ICTS for 20 years in London Heathrow Airport. I started as an Agent and became a Supervisor over the years. I have worked with many differ-ent airlines over the years with ICTS. It has been a pleasure working with different team members and Managers over the years.

In 2010 I had to step down from my position as Supervisor and became a Agent, un-fortunately it was to do with my health.

I have enjoyed working for ICTS and all Managers have assisted me over the years.”

Photo (L-R): Manpreet Bhogal (Terminal 2 Duty Manager) and Simon Parmar.

Alan Brislane (Shannon Airport) “Having worked with my last company for 28 years, and stuck behind a desk most of the time, I felt I need-ed a change. I decided I would take early re-tirement and look for something different. After taking 3 months’ ‘timeout’ I heard ICTS

in Shannon were looking for staff, so I called the office in Shannon and had a chat with Station Manager, Ni-gel Purcell, and gave him my CV. I had a further chat, resulting in him offering me a job. I said yes, and the rest is history, I’m still here.

I really like the job, aviation was always my thing. Over the last 15 years while working with ICTS here in Shannon, I have made lots of new friends with staff, past and present, airport employees and airline staff and crews. It`s like one large family.

EMPLOYEE(S) OF THE MONTH AWARD

November 2017: Colin John Williams

Congratulations to Colin John Williams, known as CJ, from Manchester Airport, who was selected as Em-ployee of the Month of November 2017.

American Airlines was extremely appreciative of Colin’s attentiveness, support and excellent communi-cation skills – Colin noticed that the airline’s cargo had not been collected on 28 November. He was quick to advise American Airlines and World Freight Services (WFS) and stayed in regular contact with the airline throughout the morning.

Hazel Connolly, Supervisor – American Airlines at Man-chester Airport wrote in an email to Alex Timperley, ICTS Duty Manager: “If it had not been for his fantastic communication with ourselves and WFS, we would most certainly have taken a delay. Please pass on our ‘above and beyond’ thanks to CJ.”

Congratulations to Imran Iqbal from Amazon - Davent-ry, who was selected as Employee of the Month of De-cember 2017.

Imran was nominated by Feras Khalaf, Area Manager, and one of our clients, Paul Garrett, Loss Prevention Specialist at Amazon UK, who wrote: “I would like to nominate Imran for going above and beyond for BH3 over the last couple of months. EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR 2017 AWARD

Many congratulations to Abdul Choudhury, based at London Gatwick Airport, who is our Employee of the Year for 2017!

Abdul was our Employee of the Month of June last year — he was recognised for his quick response and diligence in helping a passenger who had suffered a heart attack.

Whilst on his way to work, to start his shift at the

North Terminal, Abdul was talking to a passenger who

just collapsed in front of him. He called the emergency

services and tried to feel for a pulse, but didn’t find

one. Meanwhile a member of the Gatwick Airport

team arrived and administered CPR. Abdul screened

off the area allowing for privacy.

The passenger was rushed off to hospital after being

resuscitated and Abdul contacted the passenger’s

family to inform them of the situation, as he had been

travelling alone.

2017: Abdul Choudhury

“I am very proud of myself to win the award of Employee of the

Year for 2017, knowing that I as-sisted and helped to the best of

my ability a member of the public when taken seriously ill and that the Company has acknowledged

my achievement. I would also like to thank both my Duty Manager, George Hayward,

and Account Manager, Brian Parker, for the nomination.”

Abdul Choudhury -

Photo: Abdul Choudhury is to be presented with the Employee of the Year certificate, after the issuance of this Newsletter, thus the photo above is of Abdul receiving his Employee of the Month June 2017 certificate. (L-R): James Hogg (Executive Director—Operations), Abdul Choudhury (Supervisor) and Stuart Geer , who used to be Head of Operations—Aviation & National Contracts—Stuart has since left ICTS.

All winner(s) of the Employee of the Month then make up

the shortlist for the Employee(s) of the Year award, who then

receives £1,000/1,250 Euros

EMPLOYEES OF THE MONTH AWARD

January 2018: Amarjit Virdee

Congratulations to Amarjit Virdee, ICTS Security Agent at Heathrow Express, for being selected Employee of the Month of January. Amarjit was nominated by Pau-lo Velez, ICTS Services Delivery Manager, for her quick thinking during a medical emergency.

A passenger was having an epileptic fit on the con-course and Amarjit was quick to raise the alarm and call for medical assistance.

Our Clients at Heathrow Express were extremely ap-preciative of Amarjit’s support and presented her with a small gift.

An email extract from Panos Michael, Duty Operations Manager, Heathrow Express, to ICTS: “Amarjit heard over the radio that there was a medical emergency on the concourse at CTA and reacted quickly by calling to passengers on the Platform 2 for a nurse or doctor. Fortunately, there was someone of medical experi-ence in the vicinity who was then able to get the cus-tomer into the recovery position until help arrived.

Without Amarjit’s quick thinking, the situation could have been a lot worse. Please could you pass on our thanks to Amarjit and for reacting so quickly in as-sisting a customer in need.”

Amarjit Virdee -

Photo (L-R): Amarjit Virdee (Security Agent) with our Client, Dan Skalski (Customer Service Manager at Heathrow Express). At time of print Amarjit had not yet had the opportunity to have her certificate presented to her.

“With 10 years’ service behind me, I am proud to work for ICTS. I am currently happy with my job role

and fully understand what is expected from me on a daily basis.

The ICTS Management have always been very accommodating

and supportive when in need. A big thanks to everyone.”

NEW BUSINESS NEWS

‘TOY APPEAL’ AT EPSOM & ST HELIER UNIVERSITY

HOSPITALS NHS TRUST

Paul Phillips, Contract Manager—Epsom & St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust, says, “I want to say I am very proud of my team and of one Officer in par-ticular. Here at Epsom, we secure four Hospitals, one of which is the Queen Mary’s Children Hospital. This Christmas, they sent out a ‘Toy Appeal’ for those chil-dren who either do not get to go home over the Christmas period or who sadly have to come in for treatment.

ICTS Supervisor, Kevin Walters, took charge and ap-proached his team mates for support. Kevin headed up a small collection that by the end, and with a little help from ICTS, he raised an incredible £740! Toys R Us added a further £50, which meant we were able to buy lots of toys for the children.”

NEWS FROM OUR CONTRACTS: AMAZON

NEW AMAZON SUPERVISORS COURSE Brian O’Shaughnessy, National Support Manager, writes, “The new Amazon Supervisors Course is the first dedicated non-aviation training programme de-veloped by ICTS UK & Ireland.

Developed by myself, the course has been designed around key principals of effective and pro-active su-pervision, but has been tailored to reflect and support the Amazon behaviours.

Over the three days, attendees can aspect dedicated training on aspects of HR law, audit including the criti-cal SR2, site documentation and protocol but also to challenge their perception of what a good supervisor is within a supportive environment.

The course has been met with very positive feedback so far and candidates will be encouraged to keep in touch as part of their own continuous develop-ment. We are looking forward to rolling it out to all of our Supervisors in the coming months.”

NEW LANYARD TRAINING INITIATIVE Jon Morley, Amazon National Support Manager - Quality Assurance and Training, writes, “During the Amazon Supervisor course, we identified the need to present the training stages of our team members within an FC, in a more defined and visible manner.

The benefits of a quick visual aid will ensure not only visiting ICTS Managers but the client (namely LP teams) will be able to identify the capabilities of the member of staff on post/shift and immediately under-stand the level of training that person has undertak-en.

The project is designed to engage our teams in receiv-ing recognition for going through the training and be-ing “signed off” as fully fledged and trained.

• RED: ‘In training’,

• AMBER: ‘Passed probation - newly trained’,

• GREEN: ‘Fully fledged and trained Officer could be used as acting Supervisor’,

• BLUE: ‘Supervisor’.

MEET THE TEAM REPORTING TO NIKOLA FEARNHEAD, DIVISIONAL DIRECTOR —AMAZON, AND SUPPORTING THE AREA MANAGERS UP AND DOWN THE COUNTRY.

JON MORLEY - NATIONAL SUPPORT MANAGER

I have been with ICTS for nearly 4 years now and have enjoyed my time immensely, and what seems very quickly worked my way through the ranks from an Officer at the DSO1 up to the dizzy heights of Amazon

National Support Manager - Quality Assurance and Training, where I am today. I can’t say that the road has been seamless but I can say I have been supported all of the way, from Neil Hodgson as my first Regional Manager to Nikola Fearnhead my Divisional Director now.

Currently I am also the Amazon Project Manager for Trackforce / GuardTek which has so much potential and hopefully will bring us and our clients out of the Dark Ages in the way of electronical reporting.

My transition from my previous employment over to ICTS was hard, having worked for 12 years in Africa covering close protection for anti-poaching/anti-piracy

and the Intelligence Service and prior to this working worldwide managing close protection teams for for-eign royal families.

BRIAN O’SHAUGHNESSY - NATIONAL SUPPORT MANAGER

My new role is the National Support Man-ager for the logistic side of the Amazon contract which numbers over forty assign-ments. In addition to this I also manage the mobile services that we offer to the Ama-zon Prime Now and Flex Node locations

across the UK and oversee the Home Office contract. I work very closely with my Divisional Director to devel-op processes and protocol and to explore best practice that we can not only share across the contract but the wider business. My responsibilities are wide ranging, and it is very rare that any two days are the same, but it is a very rewarding role and I enjoy it immensely.

I started working in the security industry twenty-five years ago, after being made redundant from retail management and during this time I have worked ex-tensively in both the operational and training sides of the industry. During this time, I have been fortunate enough to gain my master’s degree in security man-agement, as well as helping to develop the original SIA courses, which I look back on as highlights from my career.

DANE JONES - FULFILMENT CENTRES SUPPORT MANAGER

I joined ICTS from MITIE in April 2015. During my time with MITIE I looked after various contracts such as HMRC, JLL, Tata Steel, Knightfrank, Lloyds Banking Group and Royal Mail. Prior to joining MITIE I

worked for Chubb Security on the Boots contract.

In my current role I oversee our delivery into the UK Amazon Fulfilment Centres ensuring that our security offering meets the challenging nature of that environ-ment and work closely with Nikola and the National Team to develop our standard operating model.

This year I am working to bring in more formal re-porting to Amazon which will enable us to prioritise training and contract focus by using data trending and analysis.

STAGE ONE - RED would cover a “welcome to ICTS” with the site induction and basic site H&S & Fire safe-ty; how to search correctly and what’s expected as being “the face of ICTS”, along with a tour of working areas and overview of the site; outlining the process of shipment starting from an item all

the way up to a package being put on a trailer etc.

FOR STAGE TWO - AMBER would be a “rite of passage”. Once employees have completed the necessary training, had a bit of time to get their bearings and knowledge of the Amazon company lingo, they would then move on to the detailed instruc-tion of toolbox talks and all the other areas that

the initial training package doesn’t covered.

FOR STAGE THREE - GREEN employees who have a green lanyard would be fully fledged and trained Offic-ers who could be utilized as acting Supervisors. They would act as mentors and coaches to the ‘Red’ and ‘Amber’ Officers.

This may seem like a lengthy process, but I think the train-ing is one of the most important things a new office must undertake. The lanyards allow Managers when walking on-to a site to quickly assess how far an Officer has progressed with the training. We will also be issuing pins for the lan-yards, which will mark any significant points received in the training.

CANINE

Our Canine teams have been extremely busy recently. However, unfortunately most of the contracts they are working on are covered by Non-Disclosure Agree-ments, thus restricting what we are allowed to share.

EXPANSION OF THE CANINE TEAM

Richard Shipton, Richard Hymns, and John Graham have recently joined our Canine team as Explosives Search Dog Handlers.

Richard Shipton and Richard Hymns, and their dogs Zoom and Rolo, started their courses at the Surrey Police Dog School at the end of January.

John Graham is near to completion of his course at South Yorkshire Police with his dog Harley.

ICTS’ CANINE TEAM AT TEESSIDE’S NUCLEAR POWER STATION

Robbie George, ICTS Handler, has introduced Bumper, his eight-month old Spaniel, to working life at Hartle-pool Power Station. Robbie’s Explosives Detection Dog, Whizz, is about to retire and Bumper, who is her replacement, is currently in training. Bumper will be joining Dash, see in the photos below.

ICTS is responsible for the screening of people and vehicles at the Hartlepool Power Station.

DOCUMENT VERIFICATION WORKSHOP

ICTS was delighted to host some of our Clients at a Documents Awareness Workshop on 30 January 2018. A specially trained officer from The National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO) conducted the training in London, which examined how to distinguish between counterfeit and genuine identity documents. Our Clients from the Education Sector and the NHS joined our internal recruitment teams.

To give you an idea of how we perform against other airports, I have detailed the top scores for the areas detailed above. Each area is scored out of 5 (5 being the maximum achievable score).

AVIATION RECRUITMENT DAY AT GLASGOW AIRPORT Karin Barclay, ICTS Lead Agent at Glasgow Airport writes, “Team Glasgow were invited to participate in a local Jobs Fair, covering communities neighbouring the Airport campus.

On the day there was a footfall of over 700. The ICTS Team spoke to a high percentage of job seekers ex-plaining our job roles and the on-line application pro-cess.

60 candidates went away with an application form to look over before starting the on-line process. Inter-viewing has now begun to fill our seasonal positions with recruitment on-going.”

Louise Cameron, ICTS Senior Station Manager says, “In Scotland we are currently in the process of recruiting 120 staff in preparation for our summer season. This year we are focused on ensuring good communication channels are established from the initial interview which we will endeavour to maintain throughout the recruitment process, training and induction in order to facilitate the integration of our new staff with our existing team.”

NEW X-RAY MACHINES AT GLASGOW AIRPORT Glasgow Airport is now at the final stage of its renew-al to L3 X-Ray machines in Hold Baggage Screening (HBS). Heimann X-Ray machines have now been re-placed by the new Safran Morpho L3 machines, giving Screeners a complete 360 degree 3D view of baggage

in far more detail than its predecessor.

It has been a long process but hopefully well worth it in the end. Here's to a success with the new system.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF....

ALEX TIMPERLEY—DUTY MANAGER AT MANCHESTER AIRPORT.

I have been working for ICTS since May 2012. I have learnt so much pro-gressing through the Company throughout the years. I as an Agent at 18 years of age and with no working experience; 6

years on, I am now a Duty Manager. It’s been an amaz-ing 6 years where I have picked up mountains of expe-rience and have had some really memorable moments in my ICTS career. My favourites: travelling to Portugal for my Supervisors training and of course, the more recent 30-year black tie event in London.

My working day tends to vary daily. Working at such a busy airport, I have no idea what I am going to walk into in the mornings, so every day is very different. I usually come in early to the office and start my day with a coffee; nobody functions properly without coffee, right? I’ll sit and have a chat with the guys in the office and get them to update me on any sickness or issues reported so we can take appropriate action. I catch up on emails and at 7.30am I call into the Ameri-can Airlines conference call to update our Client on any potential issues.

Once I am organised, I go out to start my daily duties on the ‘shop floor’. I go to see all the Supervisors and Co-ordinators to find out if there have been any issues on the morning. They are all very good, so there is usu-ally nothing major. I will then make my way over to the United Airlines and Virgin Atlantic contracts to complete my daily audits. After that I will go out and drill some employees and do some uniform checks to make sure everyone is looking smart. I will report back to my Line Managers if any issues occur.

I spend most part of my afternoon office-based, once the operation has quietened down. This gives me the opportunity to make sure payroll and the invoicing is up-to-date and to solve any potential Client or em-ployee issues that have been emailed or called into the office. I sign and send off any sick notes or change of details so we are prepared for our end of the month workload.

We are just starting to explore [email protected] in more depth - I have tried to be involved as much as I can. I have spent a lot of time trying to get this perfect for the Station.

TECHNOLOGY

ICTS EUROPE LAUNCHES AWARE, A NEW SECURITY TRAINING APP.

ICTS has developed Aware – a new training App designed to introduce non-security staff to the principles of security, so that they may become active participants in the effort

to prevent attacks in and around their workplace.

The App has been designed by Innovisec, part of the ICTS Europe Group. In a simple and user-friendly man-ner, the App guides one on how to take notice of, and report on, unusual or suspicious signs relating to peo-ple, objects, vehicles, or facilities.

“With the increased threat of terrorist attacks in pub-lic places, Aware can capitalise on resources already working in these environments, for example retail, cleaning or catering staff, by enhancing their security awareness” said Nimrod Matan, CTO, Innovisec.

Cont. from page 24. I think I spend most of my after-noons emailing Paulo (Velez) and Andre (Mendes) - they’re probably sick of me by now!

As I am new to the role of Duty Manager, I spend quite a bit time with my Operations Manager, Catherine, who has taught me so much. She is helping me develop to the best of my ability, teaching me new things daily. I will be attending an HR course she has put me on, so I can be more involved in investigatory and disciplinary hearings which will be a great addition to my current skills set and my everyday duties at ICTS.

Words of appreciation and messages from clients and passengers are shared on Yammer.
