Local Restaurant Spotlight:

[North End Village Bistro] is the new place to eat in NW Houston! It is family owned and the son has

culinary experience that is hard to beat! They are located outside of Northpointe

Neighborhood, off of Hwy 249 and about 1.5 miles South of

Boudreaux Rd. Before you go, you should know that my current favorites are their crab cakes

and lasagna!

Technology Tip: The QR Code was created in Tokyo in 1994,

and has had a slow take-off in the US. It means

Quick Response, and is basically a 2D barcode.

In the US it has become the new tech savvy tool

for marketing! Like a regular barcode, it

stores information...but these

special squares store URLS, which

connects you to websites!

To properly use a QR Code, you

must have a phone with a camera and

internet connection. Download a “QR

Code Reader” app. There are several

available - My favorite is NeoReader. Simply

open up the app from your phone, take a

picture of the QR Code, and your phone will

automatically connect you to the website

that the QR Code is storing!

PRACTICE WITH THIS

ONE!

Banana Cupcakes w/ Honey Cinnamon Frosting
