Project Groupings: 1. Class blog2. Individual student blogs

Description of Project: I started a daily blog with the student’s help to provide a home/school connection so the parents could keep up with our daily activities and have access to important information about their child’s education on a daily basis. I also wished to encourage the students to get online (to do other things than play games) and to interact with me. I modeled my blog for more than a month before we started our individual blogs. I provide a topic and brief rubric for each entry. So far we have written six and the kids have really enjoyed themselves. Most students are

motivated and have been updating and commenting on other’s blogs regularly (some even from home). Blogging has really helped many students who’ve struggled in the past with writing and find their voice.
