Two Temperature measurement points for High-
Temp wells
Can be run independently or collectively for distributed temperature. Accurate and reliable.
Why 4mm?When compared to stiff, outdated 1/4″ cables there are many benefits which improve reliability and data integrity.
Higher Crush Rating
When compared to 1/4” cables with similar wall thickness, our 4mm
TEC saw over a 320% increase in maximum crush force. With 1/4”
cables that had an over 60% greater wall thickness, our 4mm TEC still out performed them by over 4000 ft lbs.
Greater Flexibility
With a narrower overall diameter, as well as a thinner outer casing, our
4mm TEC is much more flexible than stiff 1/4” cable. This is true for both our bare, and round encapsulated
cable.
Lighter Weight
Being able to reduce the overall diameter of our TEC results in
significant weight savings coming in at a mere 0.051 lbs/ft. This
reduced weight becomes particularly significant for deep wells.

Key DifferentiatorsSome of the many key advantages that our real-time downhole monitoring solutions have over the competition.
Vertical IntegrationWe believe that every measurement system, from downhole gauge to surface electronics should be optimized to provide the most reliable performance, and seamless integration possible. The only way to ensure the absolute highest quality of our systems, is to design and build each component ourselves.
Research
Our combined technical and field experience allows us to understand the current and future needs of our customers. Our research process is driven by a desire to find innovative
solutions to our customers problems.
Engineering
We engineer the most reliable systems in the industry. Every
component is not only designed to work seamlessly with each other, but
they are also designed to provide quick and reliable installation in the
field.
Production
We have developed innovative manufacturing techniques and utilize advanced tools such as our electron-
beam welder to ensure the quality of our components. Every part, even
the ones you will never see, are assembled with care and accuracy.
Downhole Gauge TechnologiesLeak Proof Design
The electronics inside the sensor are completely protected
from fluid and gas invasion. The piezoresistive transducer
diaphragm is e-beam welded to the sensor body, and the electronics are
protected by a high pressure glass feed-through.
4-20mA Direct OutputTo make the system cost effective, we
have removed the need for expensive digital surface electronic interfaces. The native communication language of the gauge is 4-20 mA and can be directly connected to off the shelf PLC’s, Loggers, and VFD’s.
IECEx CertificationOur Gauges are engineered for hostile downhole environments. To qualify for Ex ia IIB T4 certification, a variety of tests were conducted including electrical safety and mechanical pressure integrity function of up to 6,000 psi.
Metal-To-Metal SealingPermanent downhole gauge reliability can only be achieved by utilizing stainless steel ferrules to attach the gauge to stainless steel instrumentation cable. We provide the same metal-to-metal seals that are so efficient that they are used to safely contain Hydrogen, Helium, and other small atom particles.
Integrated Cable HeadTo help make the system more cost effective, we have introduced an integrated cable head for attaching the downhole instrumentation cable. The cable head can be pressure tested on the rig floor.
MiniatruizationReliability in aggressive PC Pump or ESP Pump completion requires an electronic gauge that is engineered to withstand considerable shock and vibration. The amount of force absorbed by the electronics is a function of the surface area in contact with the force. We utilize modern electronic engineering techniques to make its electronics smaller and more acceptable to withstanding force than our competition.

The downhole gauge cable head is one of the most critical parts of a permanent downhole gauge system and historically has widely known
as one the most likely point of failure. The cable head is where, and how a downhole gauge is connected to the downhole instrumentation cable (TEC).
Long term studies have attributed as much as 45% of downhole gauge failures due to inadequate cable head make up. GEO PSI has developed a patented cable
head solution that not only delivers superior leak path protection, but also delivers unparalleled performance regarding how the cable is physically connected to the
gauge. Mitigation of any leak path and subsequent fluid ingress combined with increased connection performance leads to increased gauge performance.
The patented cable head design utilizes dual metal-to-metal seals and a glass feed-through. The cable head also incorporates a plug and play dry pin electrical connector. A pressure test port delivers full pressure test capabilities. This design has been utilized on thousands of gauges and splice assemblies with excellent performance success.
Plug and play. A high-temperature, single or multi-pin male connector is
crimped to the instrumentation cable, which fts inside a matching female socket inside the gauge.
Metal-to-metal sealing front and back ferrules are attached and secured in
place with a hex nut.
A secondary cable head is attached, which has an additional set of metal-to-
metal sealing ferrules.
Pressure test port allows customer to conduct a pressure test on the primary
connection.

Cable ExcellenceOur downhole instrumentation cable has many features
beyond its innovative 4mm design that increases reliability and workability in the field.
Optional EncapsulationWe offer our advanced 4mm TEC in both bare and encapsulated variants. Both offer superior reliability and data integrity, and are tailored for different applications.
EncapsulatedFor superior bumper protection, we can add an encapsulated jacket of Polypropylene, Santoprene, or Rilsan on the instrumentation cable. The encapsulation acts as a bumper and improves survivability of the cable during deployment of the system.
Downhole Cable FeaturesStainless Steel ConstructionBy building our instrumentation cable out of either Stainless Steel 316L or Incoloy 825 results in excellent corrosion resistance and permits the usage of a highly effective metal-to-metal sealing system. Our instrumentation cable has a wall thickness of 0.030”, giving it superior tensile and crush resistance. The cable is formed from a raw strip of material, welded together, and manufactured in custom lengths of up to 65,000 feet. The
factory utilizes an eddy current tester and 3D profilometer to ensure that the wire maintains the correct physical form and that it maintains pressure integrity.
Field SplicableIn the event that the cable is breeched during installation, a cost effective field splice kit is available that takes just a few minutes to assemble on the rig floor. The splice causes no compromise
of tensile strength and is small enough to be re spooled and is safe to be re-deployed again for fluid level monitoring applications.
WorkabilityFor instrumentation cable to be practical it should be easy to work with. The 0.1575” (4mm) form is flexible enough to wrap around tubing and exit the well bore through a standard wellhead, 90° casing vent, or flow line.

Benefits of Round vs. SquareAt GEO PSI we opt for round encapsulation of our TEC. This choice was made after our testing concluded that a round profile proved superior in the following areas:
Cost of OwnershipManufacturability
Weight
FlexibilityCrush Strength
Cross Sectional Twisting
Dynamic FrictionDepolyment/Retrieval
00007m GEO PSI .160 .030 18AWG
BareFor cemented-in applications some customers prefer bare cable, citing that they are less concerned about channeling or bonding issues. Bare cable also maintains a smaller diameter, and lower weight per foot.

Wellhead Feed-ThroughOur wellhead feed-through systems are designed to provide maximum safety and reliability in the field.
Reliability & SimplicityEngineered with Safety in MindSafety should never be compromised when exiting instrumentation from the wellbore, especially in the presence of surface gas pressure. Only a metal-to-metal sealing system can adequately isolate the stainless steel instrumentation cable from the outside environment.
Furthermore a high pressure glass feed-through or certified secondary barrier isolates any pressure from traveling through the conductor in the event of a downhole cable breach.
A preventative safety bleed off valve is furnished for any authorized operators or technicians servicing the wellhead.
Flexible DesignThe wellhead feed-through system is modular in design and can be configured to exit through the wellhead NPT port, casing vent, or designated flow line.
