IntroductionThank you for selecting the pocket pH tester. This manual provides a step-by-step guide to help you operate the meter, please carefully read the followinginstructions before use.
Inserting the Batteries
insert batteries into the battery compartment.— Remove the battery compartment lid.
— Insert the batteries into the battery compartment, note polarity.
— Replace the battery compartment lid and turn clockwise until it is tight.

Preparation of pH Standard Buffer SolutionsThe tester is packaged with three pH buffer packets required for calibration.
Open the pH7.00 buffer packet, place the powder into a 250ml volumetric flask. Pour distilled water 250ml to scale line, mix the solution until reagent is completely dissolved.
Preparation of pH4.01 and 10.01 standard buffer solutions are the same as above. Prepared standard buffer solutions should be stored in hermetically sealed glass containers.

Press and hold the CAL key the display shows “CAL 7-4”. If necessary, press CAL key again, the tester will show “CAL 10-7”.
Choose the pH buffer option you want to use, press ENTER key to confirm. The tester shows first calibration point, pH7.00.
4. Dip the electrode into the pH7.00 standard buffer solution, the end of the electrode must be completely immersed into the calibration solution. Stir the tester gently.
Power On/Off
Press and hold the MEAS key for 5 seconds, the tester will turn off.you do not press any key for 8 minutes, the tester will automatically turn
off to conserve energy.
CalibrationThe tester must be calibrated prior to first use or new electrode replaced.
To ensure accuracy, regular calibration is recommended.Do not reuse calibration solution after calibration, contaminants in solution
will affect the calibration and eventually the accuracy of the measurement.

Dip the electrode into the pH4.01 or 10.01 standard buffer solution. Stir the tester gently.

ait for the measured value to stabilize, the reading will flash 3 times indicating that first calibration point is completed.
The tester will automatically show “CAL 4” or “CAL 10” (Depending on the option selected in the step 2).
6. Rinse the electrode with distilled water.
ait for the measured value to stabilize, the reading will flash 3 times, “CAL” indicator will disappear from display, the tester returns to measurement mode. Calibration is completed.
EXIT THE CALIBRATION: During the calibration, If you want to exit calibration mode. Press MEAS key, the tester will immediately return to measurement mode.

Electrode ReplacementWhen the tester fails to calibrate or gives fluctuating readings for calibration standards, you need to replace the electrode module.1. Twist the electrode collar counter clockwise, pull the old electrode module away from the tester.
2. Align the slot on the new electrode module, gently push the module into the tester.
3. Twist the electrode collar clockwise until it is tight.

Hold Function1. During the measurement, press HOLD key,

use.— If you do not use the tester for long periods, please store the sensor with
electrode storage solution. DO NOT use de-ionized or distilled water.

Appendix: How to prepare electrode storage solution1. Dissolve 223.6 grams of potassium chloride reagent (KCL) in 1 liter distilled water.2. Pour the 50mL of KCL solution into beaker.3. Pour the 50mL of pH4.01 standard buffer solution into the same beaker.4. Stir the solution until the solution has thoroughly mixed, preparation is done.

5. Press CAL key, the tester enters the temperature calibration mode. The display shows current temperature reading.
6. Press CAL key again to set temperature value, press ENTER key to confirm. The tester shows “YES/HOLD” the auto-hold function is enabled.
— If the auto-hold function is enabled, the tester will automatically sense a stable end-point reading and will freeze it. — If you disable this function, the tester allows you to freeze the reading by pressing the HOLD key.
7. Press CAL key to enable or disable the auto-hold function.
8. Press ENTER key to confirm. The tester shows “YES/OFF”
