The information technology industry, known mostly by IT, is focused on anything that is related to computers and technology. This

industry is constantly changing based on new technology and advancements of computers.

To have a job in this industry, you must be highly specialized in your field.

• Median annual wage for computer and information technology jobs in May of 2015 was $81,430 which more than double than the median wage for all occupations, which is only $36,200

An IT Consultant is a system analyst, computer technician, and a project manager rolled into one.

IT Consultant is normally hired by a company who needs advice about their business with helping solve any technology information problems.

Their job function could include determining information system requirements and defining project objectives for a company. Consultants can also recommend the appropriate software and hardware a company uses.

Mobile Application Developers creates the software for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets.

There are 5 major platforms for mobile devices that the developer needs to know. The most popular being android and apple.

These developers make applications for mobile devices that can with hold the same amount of information as a personal computer would.

They work on a small screen size so they need to be careful enough not to hit a button while developing the certain application

This is a very important job because involves responsibility of maintaining a secure cloud that can contain personal information, health records, credit card numbers and other items a company wants to keep classified.

Companies want to hire cloud architects that are experts in public, private and hybrid clouds.

A software developer can design games, create databases, create operation systems and keep systems up and running.

Because there are more items being made that have computers in them, a software developer can design programs for cars, appliances and toys.

They need to make sure that their network is upgraded and current. Administrators also make repairs if needed. The job requires you to train people on the way to use the hardware and software.

There are Back-end web developers, Front-end web developers and Webmasters.

Back-end develops technical construction and lays the framework.

Front-end is the layout and graphics.

Webmasters maintain and keep websites updated.

Computer Forensic Investigators are a mix of two different fields. This job requires you have training in computer science and law. A Computer Forensic Investigator can work with government agencies to stop or convict terrorist, sexual predators and murders. Their jobs are to go back into a computer where files were deleted so it could be used as evidence. It is important to understand law so the evidence can be used in court.

What I learned doing this project….• What did I learn?

• There are many job available within the IT industry.

• It is currently the fasting growing industry to work in.

• To work in this industry, you must have a great sense of knowledge for technology, computers/tables/phones and different operating systems.

• You have to have current and up to date knowledge about technology because it changes so frequently and rapidly. If your not up to date, you are out of a job.

• Do I feel the project was useful?

• I did feel it was useful. The project helped my understand the course related to this presentation.

• It also helped me understand the terminology of technology systems.

• It was strange to hear your voice when reviewing and it was more time consuming than a regular power point without voice guidance.
