Sanjay Kaul

Founder of the Indian School of Petroleum & Energy, Mr. Kaul is an industry

acknowledged expert in Strategy Planning and implementation and has been,

in the past associated with industry giants like Shell, Chevron,

PricewaterhouseCoopers, etc. Mr. Kaul holds the distinction of being the only

Indian to receive the prestigious “Outstanding Individual Achievement Award”

for his contribution to the energy sector, awarded annually by the Energy

Institute, U.K.

Dr. Parag Diwan

A Chemical Engineer and a Doctorate in Business Administration, Dr. Diwan

is the co-founder of the Indian School of Petroleum & Energy, and his

experience profile spans in areas from Production to Design Development to

Academics to Research. Vice Chancellor of the University of Petroleum &

Energy Studies, Dr. Diwan specializes in Technological Solutions - ERP,

Communication Computing, MIS and Application Assessment (Learning and

Application Assessment Benefit Analysis).

Dr. M. Ramachandran

Dr. M. Ramachandran has 38 years of varied experience as an IAS officer

working in the field as well at senior policy making levels in State

Governments and at the Centre. He has an M.Phil. in Economic Planning from

the University of Glasgow and Phd in Project Planning. Dr. Ramachandran

had an unusually long stint as Secretary to Government of India in the Ministry

of Urban Development from November, 2006 to June, 2010 and is considered

as the architect of the JNNURM mission of GOI.

Lt. Gen. T.S. Shergill

Lt. General Tejinder Singh Shergill PVSM, graduated from the National

Defense Academy, Khadakwasla, where he was awarded the President's

Gold Medal; He has 40 years of experience in the military. He was Defense

Attache at the Indian Embassy, Washington DC, USA; later commanded a

Division in Jammu and Kashmir, a Corps in the North-East, both during

counter militancy and counter insurgency operations; he was also

Commandment of the Indian Military Academy. He is a former Chairman of the

Punjab Public Service Commission. Currently he is also a Non-Executive

Independent Director of Fortis Healthcare Ltd. – besides his other

associations and commitments. He is a sought-after Executive Coach and

speaks frequently on Leadership.

Vijay Pahwa

A Science Graduate from St. Xavier's College Calcutta, Mr. Vijay Pahwa has

46 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Intellectual Property, Project and

Supply Chain Management. He has worked with various organizations like

CEAT Tyres, Apollo, MRF, Truck Tyres, Dunlop & Castrol. Later he joined

Reliance Petroleum as Senior Vice President Marketing. He was a part of the

top team that conceptualized their foray into retailing on par with the best

internationally. Presently he holds the strategic position of Director Corporate

Relations, UPES.

Dr. S.J.ChopraWinner of Petrotech Life Time Achievement Award 2012 – received from the hands of the President of India - Dr. S.J.Chopra is a PhD in Chemical Engineering from IIT Delhi and has been an R&D man all though out and retired as Chairman of Engineers India Ltd. (EIL) – before taking on the mantle of Chancellor, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies.

Arun JyotiA Chemical Engineer with specialization in Petroleum Refining, he has more than 37 years of experience in the areas of Lubricants, Retail Development, and Special Products. Mr. Jyoti has held positions of repute like Executive Director, IndianOil Corporation Ltd, Managing Director, IBP Co. Ltd., Chief Operating Officer, Essar Oil Ltd., Director In-Charge, Indian Oil Blending Ltd. and Director AVI Oil.

S R SethiSubhash R. Sethi has over 45 years of experience working in the power sector of Delhi including the areas of generation, transmission, distribution as well as regulatory affairs. He has worked in the area of generation for more than 15 years and has specialized in the establishment of gas turbine power stations in Delhi. He was the Chief Engineer, Projects in charge of restructuring the power sector in Delhi. The PPP model in distribution was carried out for the first time in India and has been appreciated by various international institutions including the World Bank. He has worked overseas consultant as well as the advisor to the Government of Delhi. Recently he was a member of the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission.

Dr. V. Vizia SaradhiHe has been till recently Director (Human Resources), HPCL, He has had a wide exposure to the Petroleum Industry over 30 years in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Refineries, Marketing and Corporate Division of HPCL. Under his leadership, HPCL has been conferred with various National and International awards like “Continuous Innovation in HR Strategy at work” by Asia Pacific HRM Congress. He has been individually honoured with the prestigious awards like “leading HR Leader Award by the Singapore HR Institute in July 2009 and Pride of HR Profession Award by Asia Pacific HRM Congress in August 2009. He was the Chairman of Avantika Gas Limited. He was also the Chairman of Bhagyanagar Gas He is also member of the SCOPE Board.

Dr. Anirban Sengupta, DirectorDr. Sengupta brings to the table 22 years of professional experience spanning across industry and academics – operational as well as strategic – in the areas of Marketing, Finance and Strategy Currently he also holds the position of Dean, College of Management & Economic Studies (CMES), University of Petroleum & Energy Studies. His earlier academic affiliations had been with Administrative Staff College of India, Hyderabad; Goa Institute of Management, International School of Business & Media and he has served as Visiting / Adjunct Faculty to IIM Kozhikode; IIM Indore for eight academic years.. Before academics, he had earlier been in the credit rating industry for almost a decade - with CRISIL, Duff & Phelps and FIITCH Ratings.

University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) and Indian School of Petroleum (ISP) - that have cumulatively

HOW TO REACH US

DEHRADUN BY AIR

Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun is a domestic airport

located at about 20 km away from city center. Taxi cabs

are available from airport to city, which cost about Rs

400. The airport operates daily ights to Delhi. Nearest

International airport is Delhi, which is about 235 km

away.

DEHRADUN BY TRAIN

Dehradun is a major railway station which is connected

to all cities in the country. The major cities like Delhi,

Kolkata, Varanasi, Ujjain and Indore are connected by

express trains and super fast trains.

DEHRADUN BY BUS

All nearby cities are connected to Dehradun by State

owned Uttarakhand transport buses. It also connects

Kashmere Gate in New Delhi with Dehradun. There are

overnight deluxe A/C and Volvo bus services of

Uttarakhand Tourism from New Delhi to Dehradun.
