Webinar delivery method

Clients may have employees located in regional locations across Australia, but still wish for them to participate. In these situations, we can deliver customised training via a live blackboard collaborative webinar session.

This method allows participants to connect online and interact with the trainer in real time from their own location. All participants receive access to all materials required for the workshop prior to the session.

Next Gen Support and Educational Tools

Working with you to develop a ‘new look’ suite of online Workplace Compliance modules customised for you

A number of larger employers conduct online training and induction for all their staff through a range of online compliance modules. These modules may have been developed by either your organisation or an external provider.

Bartlett Workplace is often asked to review existing module content and re-write them to bring them into line with the relevant law, policy instruments and best-practice and/or develop a suite of on – line compliance modules for clients who don’t currently have this offering to their staff.

What do we do:

We will work with you at every stage in the process of developing new online compliance modules for

your organisation. This will include working closely with your IT staff or providers to ensure a seamless

technical implementation of the modules. We will also obtain your feedback on content at the following

key review points:

1. Course outline: at this stage, we will provide you with a detailed outline of the content we propose to include in the module, including an overview of key content and case study overviews.

2. Storyboard: once we receive your initial review and feedback on the course outline, we will provide you with a frame-by-frame look at the proposed content, including a brief description of visual presentation of each frame and content for assessment pieces. At this stage, we will work with your IT providers or staff on matching the presentation with your system and functionality.

3. Final review: this is your opportunity to provide feedback on the product in a presentation-ready format.

4. Messaging: An introductory video can be added featuring Chair, Managing Director, Head of People and Culture or another appropriate representative. At the end of the course there will be two assessment pieces and a learning checklist. There is also a pledge that each staff member commit to a workplace culture that treats people fairly and with respect.

We will seek your input at each of the three stages outlined above. This will ensure the online compliance modules is tailored to your unique needs and preferences.

Short biographies for our team of experts are set out below

Glen Bartlett – Director of Training and Principal Workplace Lawyer Glen Bartlett is the current President of the Melbourne Football Club, former Managing Partner at Clayton Utz Melbourne, and was also a partner in their Workplace Relations, Employment & Safety team in Melbourne and Perth for over 15 years. For over 25 years, he has worked in industrial relations and employment law. During this time, Glen worked as an industrial advocate and a full-

time academic. He has been acting for and advising employers on all aspects of Workplace Relations and Employment law since 1994. Glen has acted for a wide range of significant private and public sector clients covering a number of industries.

Glen is recognised nationally as a leading trainer in areas of Workplace Management, Workplace Investigations, Enterprise Bargaining, Cultural Change, Executive Leadership and importantly Coaching and supporting Women in Leadership. With over 30 years’ experience in leadership roles, and 5 years as an academic, Glen has worked closely with some of Australia’s largest employers to develop customised programs, facilitated workshops and has coached over 5,000 Executives including HR Professionals, Managers/Supervisors and In-House Legal Counsels on Workplace and Employment Law, Human Resources, Enterprise Bargaining, Workplace Investigations and Cultural Change and Leadership Development.

Lauren Townsend – Special Counsel

Lauren is a lawyer with over 10 years’ experience working in the areas of workplace relations, employment, discrimination, equal employment opportunity and workplace health and safety across a broad range of industries and sectors. Lauren provides clear, well-reasoned and pragmatic advice to her clients and enjoys finding workable solutions to technically difficult scenarios. She is

particularly passionate about helping clients understand their obligations and how to identify and manage key risks associated with workplace investigations, managing long term ill or injured workers, enterprise bargaining and industrial action.

David Scanlan- Special Counsel (Perth and Regional Western Australia)

David heads up Bartlett Workplace’s legal practice in Perth and is an experienced employment and IR lawyer having worked for several years at top-tier law firm Ashurst, after which he held senior management roles within the emergency services industry. David has extensive experience in industrial litigation and in providing strategic advice to clients on contractual, general employment,

investigations (and grievance management), industrial relations, discrimination and occupational health and safety issues across various industries.

Bryan Mueller – Special Counsel | Litigation

Bryan has over 20 years’ experience working as an industrial relations practitioner and advocate (12 spent as a barrister at the Victorian Bar, and for more than 10 years Bryan worked as a Special Counsel in top tier law firms Blake Dawson (now Ashurst) and Clayton Utz). As an industrial relations lawyer, Bryan has worked and appeared for private employer clients in the mining and

resources, building and construction, transport, meat processing and communication industries. Bryan has also advised and represented public sector agencies and regulatory bodies, and has conducted and overseen workplace investigations into misconduct, harassment and discrimination complaints.

Brett Pomroy – Workplace Consultant

Brett is a workplace relations consultant with over 15 years’ experience in the areas of industrial and employee relations, human resources and specialises in workers compensation and OHS. He has led, conducted and advised on investigations across several industry sectors, with a special

interest in public-sector investigations.

Victoria Laspas – Director of Training Solutions

Victoria is Director of Bartlett Workplace Training and a Senior Workplace Investigator conducting investigations across a wide range of sectors including the education sector. As Director of Bartlett Workplace Training, Victoria works closely with clients to develop and design bespoke training

solutions to suit clients’ workplace management, leadership and technical needs.
