NPA Monitoring and Recovery Management is the biggest challenge for the Banking Industry. Today,

the biggest concern for Banks is the Management of Asset Quality. With every passing day, more and

more Banks from both the Public Sector as well Private Sector are reporting deterioration in Asset

Quality. Loans and Advances constitute over 70% of the assets of most banks. Hence, it is absolutely

essential for banks to manage tightly the credit risk, namely, the risk of default by the borrowers.

Despite the development of sophisticated appraisal techniques, credit decisions continue to be highly

subjective because it is more judgmental rather than analytical.

The program is aimed at sharpening the focus of Bankers dealing with asset quality, focusing on the

issues and Concerns, Norms on Income Recognition and Asset Classification, Provisioning, Various

Methods for Monitoring and Recovery of NPA, Preventive and Remedial Measures for Asset Quality

Management etc.

The Program is aimed at banking professionals, mainly from the Middle Management Cadre, especially

the Branch Managers, dealing with NPA Monitoring and Recovery Management.

The program shall use a unique blend of activities/exercise, interactive discussions, presentations,

lectures, and case studies. The Course delivery will be done by a unique blend of highly qualified and

experienced faculty members from among the pool of about 40 Finance Faculty members at IBS,

Hyderabad.

The program is full time and is residential. Normally the session timings are between 09.30 hrs and

17.30 hrs, with breaks for lunch, tea/coffee/snacks. All the participants will be given independent

rooms in our CMD Guest House with decent facilities.

The Centre for Management Development, IBS, Hyderabad, IFHE (Deemed University) will award a Certificate of participaion to the participant, on completion of the Program.

Center for Management Development (CMD)

The Center for Management Development, a Center at IBS,

Hyderabad, is aimed at delivering quality services to industry

and academia in terms of training and consulting. Our CMD

activities include Management Development Programs, Faculty

Development Programs, Executive MBA and Consultancy in core

management areas.

The MDPs/FDPs are offered as open programs or in-

company/institute-specific. Open programs are for participants

from any organization. In-company/institute-specific programs

are tai lor-made per the requirement of specif ic

companies/institutes.

Our Programs are conducted as residential or non-residential; at

the IBS campus or at a chosen location by the client. We have a

strong team of around 150 faculty members with skills in many

contemporary areas of management.

The Programme Coordinator

Dr. Suresh Chandra Bihari is both a doctorate and is pursuing

D.Litt in Banking. After a banking career of 28 years, including 3

years as a trainer, he is teaching banking courses at IBS,

Hyderabad since last five years. His research interests are mainly

in the Banking domain and he has more than 100 publications to

his credit that includes text & edited books, case studies, and

research papers published in international and national journals

as well as in important international conferences.
